  1. Beckly West Virginia. You can see the new river gourge and all the nice fall colors. Or my personal favorite is black water falls west virginia. Its 6 hours and awesome. Also good for any of the skiers out there. Photo of the falls. Hard to judge from the picture, but they are pretty big and should be good now that its actually rained. http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f185/EWhytsell/Picture119.jpg
  2. Cruises rock! You don't need much of anything really. Just enjoy it and they take really good care of you. I'm going on my 2nd one in January to shoot a wedding:-)
  3. Not sure if your Kodak has filter threads on the front of the lens or not, but a circular polarizing filter will remove most of the reflections your seeing on the paint and windows. You can get one that is good enough at best buy and if you have to you can just hold it in front of the lens.
  4. I had 1 removed along with 2 of the teeth it destroyed while it was coming in. I got 3 dry sockets out of the deal too.
  5. Didn't know they would get that close her in Ohio. I've seen it in Canaan Valley, WV though.
  6. OMG not knocking your age or anything, but it says 19 over on the left so... That means that you we just born as the US entered war with Iraq for the first time and at that time Iraq commanded the 4th largest army in the world. We planned for around 40% losses in operation desert storm and what we got was neutralizing of Iraq's command and communication in days and the total destruction of its army within weeks. Again not a slam, but you missed a true showing of what our Army can do. Iraq did attempt to put up a fight at first, but had no chance due to our massive technological superiority (including excellent maintenance and training.) Not to mention the shear numbers of hardware we had at that time. Remember we just 1 year prior ended the cold war with Russia which had us training hard and buying harder to prepare for a showdown with the commies. If we went into Iran they'd just lay down and that would be the smart thing to do. Then they'd just come out and do the suicide bomber crazy thing they do everywhere.
  7. Not surprising. I see a lot of disturbing fliers, posters, and the like in most of the schools I go in on a daily basis. One of the creepiest things I've seen happened while I was testing a copy machine. I had ran a few hundred test copies and thrown them in the trash. Some girl probably a junior came in and totally wigged out because someone didn't take the paper to the recycling area. She actually grabbed all of it in her arms and she was crying very hard as she carried it out of the room. You'd have thought I just killed her cat. Oh and BTW now I make sure I never put any paper in a recycle bin in her honor.
  8. I can understand the bike, but the camera person was just dumb.
  9. Coming from China who knows how reliable the info is. Pretty neat though.

    Where to camp

No designated area and if your not a local I wouldn't risk it. The innocent looking mud holes easily eat my offroad truck with lockers and 38" boggers. The locals know which ones to avoid because they created them. You'll see lots of 4 wheelers on the roads, but nothing motorized is allowed off the roads. The 4 wheelers are almost exclusively locals also just enjoying the day.

    Where to camp

    Yeah totally primitive.
  12. You can overload the DVD-RW lasers up to 30mw, but you will need some good cooling or it will burn up in a minute or two.
  13. Something I've noticed a lot is westerville police officers taking old ladies cars apart down around 3 and schrock rd. To me I've always found this very odd. Besides I'm sure all the old ladies had pills on them? Does this mean they get taken downtown?
  14. I'd prefer they set up their checks outside the bars parking lots. I'm sure they could get a much higher success rate.
  15. We moved my wifes not really big piano with a bunch of guys once and the next time we decided to hire pros. They made it look easy. I do agree though $200 is to much for 5 miles. We moved ours 30miles and it wasn't quite $200.

    Deer Season

Not really hunting here. I could just go out on my deck with an apple and a knife in hand:-) Seriously they are pretty brave in my yard. I have been working on my observatory and have several deer just laying about 50 feet from me in the middle of my yard just eating clover and of course keeping an eye out.

    Where to camp

If you do go to the strip mine areas such as the ones near McConnelsville be warned that a permit is required and can be obtained free from the ODNR website. Its just a registration form that is submitted and you must print a copy and have it on you while in the area. I'm not sure how much they patrol the area, but getting caught without one will get you a fine.
  18. Very cool siting. Black Bears have reclaimed the Hocking Hills region so we'll likely see more of them in the future.
  19. Fax is highly used though internet faxing is just beginning to come into play here in Columbus.
  20. Very cool trip and it looks like you hit all the good roads.
  21. Dude I wanna see what some astro photos look like through that lens. Bring it up to my observatory. Seriously its funny that people use 1200mm for sports, My telescope with a 40% reducer is 1300mm. In stock config its 2032mm so at about 1 mile I can fill the field of view of my 40D with an outdoor light bulb.
  22. If they do, they earned it. Thats a free market at work. They go raising prices and someone else will come along with a new business model and pwn them.
  23. Your 2 prong set up could either be grounded to the plumbing or just the outlet box is providing a ground, but in either case its not very safe and a good shock could easily take you out. I see a lot of office equipment plugged into crap like that all the time and I don't like working on it. Sometimes the jokers cut the ground prong off the cords:-)
