Show Quality Deck Lid Re-Finishing around Columbus?
86GT replied to Stolen 98's topic in Passing Lane
Some whites can be tough to panel paint but ford white usually matches pretty good. White is one of the more painter friendly colors to tint if the color needs adjusted alittle to match. Now if it was laser red or something I would say you are screwed but with white I think you will be alright. A good painter won't have a problem making your car look right. -

Being white, you will be able to get the color pretty damn close. 14k mile car that's been kept inside most it's life probably means the factory finish looks new. -

Decided to bring 2 cars this go around just in case I get tossed in the Vette. Just bought my 2nd spot for my mustang. -
Wanted to say thanks again to ray for going out of his way to haul my broke ass car to IPS for me.
-
Trying for a 11.00 but it just wasn't happening
-
Best of the day was a 11.12@125.5 before the output shaft broke
-
Racing with a handi cap lol. Lets see how this is gonna work
-
I like the idea but the fastest et class they have is 12.00. They need 1 more class somewhere in the 11s.
-
At least my car will be a good race, 2 low 11 sec cars going at it.
-
Not a cobra hater but ill try it
-
The race was pretty good . Im thinking it was probably a solid 8sec field bc alot of the xtreme outlaw series guys got in on the action. They werent showing times so im just guessing lol

Went to the street life tour today at kil-kare and ran a new personal best in my C5. Best pass of the day was a 11.25@123 and backed it up with a 11.38@122. The cars 60' on the 11.25 pass was a 1.67 on 18in. nittos which is unheard of in a c5 that is slammed on the ground. This is with the new ls3 in the car of course. Stock ls3 with a cam, kooks LT and a magna flow axle back and the car has not been tuned yet
-
Heard the car did 160 in the 1/8 th on that pass.....that's getting it done
-
Looks like he used arp bolts.
-
Yeah I have one big paper weight, even the cam was hit by flying debris. Found the oil ring from #7 wrapped around it lol
-
Eric Sgambellone the old owner, the tune was fine in it. I probably have driven 10 k miles and have 50+ 1/4 passes on it and up until Saturday it was great.
-
It only had 33k on it but it had the rod bolts changed. The previous owner had sprayed it before and actually put a hole in a piston. So i' m thinking maybe the short block was weak and over time it just finally gave up
-
Only mods to the car were a cam and full exhaust. Previous owner put better rod bolts in it. This tells you how bad my luck is, other people spray the guts out of these things and they live. Mine comes apart with basically nothing done to it.

Heres what the cylinder head looks like. http://i661.photobucket.com/albums/uu339/mjniehaus/DSC00273.jpg

A few pics of the damage, lost 2 rods and at this time only found about a third of # 7 piston. http://i661.photobucket.com/albums/uu339/mjniehaus/DSC00272.jpg http://i661.photobucket.com/albums/uu339/mjniehaus/DSC00270.jpg

Ill probably pull the passenger side tonight bc im curious what went wrong
