  1. Oh....next time try using correct spelling, grammar, and maybe some puctuation. That way, some of us sarcastic snipers will get the joke. graemlins/thumb.gif
  2. 1. Return the vehicle to the previous owner 2. Purchase, steal, or otherwise obtain a clue. 3. Do not, under any circumstances, do any mechanical work on any car until you have a clue.
  3. What wastegate are your running, and what is the spring in it rated to??
  4. Do you have any coolant leaking near the unit?? I know that'll fuxor them instantly!
  5. Ask for Steve Foster - Master Technician. Worked for me for 3 years. He's a good guy. Tell him Mike Holland say's "Rooster's, Beer?"
  6. Battery terminals are a good and easy place to start. If you do have a battery cable problem, your clock and radio presets will clear each time you lose power. Does this happen when coming to a stop, or slowing to a stop?? Does the car restart immediately? Could be a vacuum leak, caused by the EGR valve hanging open. Need....More....Information!

  8. They changed the rotors in the Series 5 (89-91). I know that the series 4 (86-88) rotors are heavier than the series 5. My guess is that even if they fit in the S5, you wouldn't want to use them anyway as the difference in mass would affect your performance negatively.
  9. Be very careful when guiding the axle back in and be sure you don't drag it across the axle seal and damage it in the process! I found that one out the hard way, at midnite, on a Saturday nite.
  10. 7 troopers trapping on the south loop of 270. 9:00am.
  11. Actually, I'm a hunter and pecker type o' typist. Hehe, I said pecker!
  12. Hmmmm, that would be odd. Your charcoal canister collects fuel vapors so that they can be burned by the engine, when the canister purge is activated, and not released into the atmosphere. This would have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with your A/C. Please try and get more information and post it. Either you misunderstood what he was telling you, or something is very fishy here! Mike
  13. With the qualification of stainless steel piping, I would add that if your car is a daily driver, then ceramic coating is a better idea. If you don't drive in the rain, go with the wrap. Just a "garage queen" opinion.
  14. Crankshaft position sensor?? No signal to PCM, no fuel, no spark!
  15. If the system is R-12, it will not be inexpensive! If it is R-134, you should be able to find someone other than a BMW dealership to charge it for about $75.
  16. Random thought. Have your ever put fix-a-flat in the tires? I've seen that stuff stay liquid for quite a while, giving vibrations at different MPH, at different times.
  17. It would be impossible to tell without hearing the noise. A few of the many possiblities are: Roll Coil (wiring coil to horn and airbag) Steering linkage Column Shroud Steering wheel shroud Your best bet is to just stop in a local Honda dealer and ask someone to listen to it without actually paying to have a "diagnostic" run. Just say you want to know if it is a safety issue. Mike
  18. I have heard a lot of people have removed thier OMP and run pre-mix, but I cannot give you a personal opinion cuz I know squat about it. Try searching teamFC3S.org for answers. Also, If you want to send a PM to "reTed" on RX7club.com, The man knows his sh!t. Mike
  19. Not good. If you got water through the intake and into the cylinders, you probably hydro-locked. Water does not compress like air. If a piston is in upstroke, the water cannot compress and you can bend the rod. I would recommend taking all the plugs out and turning the engine over BY HAND to push out some of the water. The starter is strong enough to do damage. You'll just have to let the rest of the wiring and electrical stuff dry out. If you have access to an air hose, blowing out the Distributer and or conncetors may speed the drying. Good Luck, I'll cross the fingers. Mike
  20. Hawk HP+ and HPS do perform very well but be prepared to clean your wheels often. The HPS dont dust as bad as the HP+. Mike

  25. Brilliant deduction Berto!! If the bulbs are two way, meaning high and low beam, they have 2 filaments in the bulb. If one is broken and lays across the other it can cause some pretty wild electrical symptoms. You might wanna check them! If not, call and exorcist!
