  1. Notice? Notice? I cringed when I saw all of that rot-gut well liquor, especially the tequila. ACK! I guess when I was 18-24 I my stomach could handle that stuff. Now that I'm older than dirt, I'd have a 4 day hangover from it. No lie, no joke! Any premium vodka, Kettle, Belvedere, Level, Vox, etc. will drastically reduce the hangover due to the fact that vodka is the most chemically pure liquor, and the premiums are distilled 3 to 6 times. It's the toxins and impurities that magnify the hangover, besides the obvious dehydration. BTW, Sky vodka is the most chemically pure vodka on the market.
  2. Quoted for truth. Jenn, you know I was a service manager for Saturn for 9 years. I drove dozens of these as demos. It's not a luxury vehicle like a Ex-cal-aide, but it'll get you there and back. The only negative thing that still sticks in my head was that the Honda engine equipped ones had enough torque steer that you'd better hold on to the steering wheel when taking off from a light.
  3. Saturn's 1.9 is notorious for consuming oil, especially the older ones. It is more than likely that yours is doing the same. You can try these products to reduce the amount of consumption, but I doubt it can correct it. I've used both MMO and Seafoam, in different vehicles. The MMO was used in assembly of every RX7 engine that I built as well as put in the fuel tank of my FD about every 10th tank. I tried the Seafoam in the oil of my A4 to combat the sludge build-up issues all 1.8Ts have. I even went so far as to run the Seafoam oil mixture for 500 miles 4 consecutive times, with new filters each time, and it still didn't clean enough to allow proper oil pressure to be maintained. Both products worked well, with the nod towards the MMO. If you are looking to clean up sludge and varnish build-up in your motor, I'd try the MMO both in the oil and in the fuel. It will not be a one time deal though. You need to use it for a while to get maximum benefit. If you want to clean up the carbon deposits you can do what my techs did at Saturn West and perform the "Italian Tune-up". Take the PCV hose loose and attach a longer hose. Place the hose in a bottle of ATF and then gun the engine, and maintain high rpms, until it sucks all of the ATF through. Note: Do NOT do this in a garage. First warn your neighbors and tell them not to call the fire department when they see the IMMENSE cloud of white smoke coming from your driveway. We had the Fire dept. show up once because they saw it from a half mile away. Don't waste your money on synthetic oils. The smaller molecule size, and the properties that it was designed for, will actually increase consumption/leaks. Best bet is to keep an extra quart of the old dino juice in the car and check the level when fueling. Do not let the oil level drop too far, the timing chain tensioner piston relies on the oil pressure. You've probably heard the rattling when the oil level drops too low.

  5. Does anyone else on here find this disgusting?
  6. The liability of simply "clearing it" usually keeps anyone except the dealerships from aiding you with this. Should there be a problem with the SRS and you are in an accident where a part of the system malfunctions causing injury. The individual who "cleared" the system can be held civilly liable.
  7. As I understand, in Ohio you cannot be given a citation on private property.......with the exceptions of Reckless Operation and DUI. Appear, Try to bargain it down, pay your fine, then be thankful you didn't hit him, or anyone else. You would be paying a lot more in insurance deductibles and premiums if you would have wrecked. AND it would have been YOUR fault, not his (assured clear distance or failure to control).
  8. Jesus Christ! Your English teacher pisses me off!
  9. Yet another car I find to be hideous.......
  10. What a ricestastic abomination IMO. It looks like the illegitimate orgy child of a Viper, a Del Sol, and Miata, with Honda/BMW fender inserts, Celica headlights, and the wretched, discusting, and bulbus Pontiac grill. Nice HP #s, but I'll wait for the Sky version.
  11. Old Lady and Romantic in the same senten...er...quest...er.....paragra...er...statement! BRILLIANT! +1 for a getaway in the hills. Bed and breakfast?
  12. Run-on, almost incomprehensible, sentences like this one: E-thugs 17ish year olds, who own 300+hp cars and think they have mad driving skillz. People who always have to be the center of attention People talking on the cell phone while driving (not on a blue tooth). The above when its snowing, and they are smoking a cigarette as well. The complete inability of Columbus drivers to merge into traffic I could go on, and on, and on....................
  13. Was there enough mustard available for that sausage fest?
  14. WOW, just Wow! ¡Mate por favor a su maestro de Englisg!
  15. Is that E-stop breathing or E-stop breeding? Oh well, either one is appropriate.
  16. Dick! The way I see it is if this one is totaled, I could always step up to an S4.
  17. Now that's a real shame when folks be throwin' away a perfectly good white boy like that.
  18. All 3 of my cars have been in major accidents in the last 6 months! Two were hit while I was driving (not my fault), the other was spun out by my wife. The Audi got hit tonight. Moron decided that he wanted to turn right instead of left at the light, so he thought he should back up from the left turn lane and maneuver into the right turn lane. He just forgot to look behind him. To make matters worse, he was driving a F150 and his bumper matched up perfectly with my grille. Now the A4 will need at least a new hood, grille, front fascia, and passenger headlight. I couldn't check for any other damage because I couldn't open the hood! At least this dumb-ass had a license and insurance, although I was fully expecting him to tell the CPD that I hit him from behind. Thankfully he was an honest man. Anyone wanna let me drive your car????????
  19. Not hard. It's in front of the drivers front strut tower. You need to removed the tire and inner fender shroud to get to all 6 of the bolts. Here is a how-to on the electrical repair with removal instructions. BTW, the connections are about 100 times smaller than in the pics if you think you have the mad micro-soldering skillz. I sure as fuck didn't. http://passat-b5.ru/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=296&Itemid=57
  20. Yes, I just replaced mine. Dealer installed:$1300 Dealer part, you install: $1000 Used part, you install: $300 Note: Your problem does not sound like mine. I had the ABS and Brake warning light flashing continuously and the ABS inoperative. These units are NOTORIOUS for a soldered connection problem. Even with a new replacement OEM unit, they have not corrected the problem and it will reoccur eventually. There are a few companies that will strengthen the solder joint and re-man the unit for about $300. I was lucky and found a re-man unit in a junkyard, on McKinley Ave., for $240. As I cross-posted earlier, it took me several weeks to get used to my A4 brakes. They were extremely touchy compared to the last several cars I have owned, FD included. I rarely have need to depress the brake pedal 50%. I'm sure that you just need to get to know the car a little better. Try "testing" and learning the brakes in secluded, safe spots in the rain, snow, and panic type situations.
  21. I'm going to be nice to you. WRONG! fi·an·cé Pronunciation (fän-s, f-äns)n. A MAN to whom a woman is engaged to be married. fi·an·cée Pronunciation (fän-s, f-äns)n. A WOMAN to whom a man is engaged to be married.
  22. Well ain't that the shitter? I guess I lose! It can be spelled with or without the accent. Pikey(from the other thread): The brakes themselves on my Audi always have been a bit touchy. It took several weeks of nearly kissing the steering wheel to get used to them. As for the ABS system, it seems to work predictably, and well. I have only needed them once but always test them, and the roads, in my housing development as they are NEVER plowed.
