    On the mechaical fuel pump, isn't braided a little overkill? Could you go with a polished stainless tube with flare fittings, or does the pump already have the -an fittings on it? Or the braided cover kits if you are only going for the look and your pump has the barbed fitting.

    Did those have a fusible link in them anywhere? If all the fuses check out fine, see if you can get a wiring diagram and start hunting.

    a/c compressor locked up? My .02 Unplug the a/c clutch and see if it starts w/o squealing.

    Nate, I like the idea, but I belive it would work better with an air to water chiller. Using the AC to cool a few gallons of 50/50 and then run it through an air to water intercooler when boost is being made. It would be able to sustain a little longer than chilling an intercooler that is exposed to a constant stream of air. Also, with 50/50 and a good compressor, condensor and evaporator, you should be able to get that mix damn cold.
