  8. looking into getting one. anyone have any experiance with these, prices, ect.. I will be using it in the middle of iraq somewhere, with aprz 20 users, so a t-1 is refered, but i can live with slower if it is going to be hella expensive. Thanks in advance Sgt.   9. coil bind is where the coils of the spring start to touch each other. this is where pushrods start to bend, rockers break, and other bad shit happens
  10. as far as i know, the 2 wires are for the isiot lights, it is internal regulated. the starte is easy, just make sure the car is cold, as the starter is right next to the exhaust
  11. on delco/haris ones (gm) if the pump frezzes, it will usually squal the belt, or the clutch will slip. if it is making a constant ratiling, it is probably a conecting rod in the compressor, and will need to be replaced
  12. no factory tach, and the coil pack is on the back of the motor between the motor and the firewall. kinda a pain in the ass. btw, nice name graemlins/thumb.gif
  13. that leads me to another question. can/how do you convert cc injectors to lbs/hr and vice versa
  14. I am helpping my cousin put an autometer tach on his 93 Chebby cavi. it is a 5 speed manual with the 2.2l engine. Is there a convienent place to hook in to the coil packs for a tach signal, of do we need to pay jegs $80 for that nifty little part? thanks Andrew

  16. any idea why the rods started knocking? (metal in the oil filter, any other givaways?) for 1k, you may be better off to rebuild if it is just a spun bearing
  17. call the local shops, ammco, cotterman ect. will probably be cheaper to get one from a junkyard though
  18. planing to run ams oil synthetic and a good oil cooler with a fan on it

  21. i have a garett t-25 off of a dsm is it nescecarry to use the coolan tines, or can those be abandoned without any adverse effects on turbo life? also, i am looking for the compressor map for it, but havent found one yet. it is a .48 intake .45 exhaust thanks Andrew
