  1. probly close to it maybe a little less. ive had it and raced it since i was 15. so 17 yrs this year thats a long time and a lot of motors have been built and swaped, trannys burnt parts broken. hell i just spent 3000 on it today and i havent orderd the crank, pistons, rods, rings, bearings, or gaskets, not to mention the afr 235s. but im hoping to have it done by spring. hopefully!. im going to try my best to run a low 8 in it just depends how it feels. 8s in a truck is a bit too fast in my opinion. but im gona keep trying to go faster. wich is why a list is needed. everyone may not see someone make a improvement this way they can. and i think the list has to be members that have attended a cr drag event. other wise you shouldent really need to be on the list should you. i personally think they are a lot of fun and its great to meet new people. face to face. YOU must attend a cr event once a season to be on the list. that makes if fair for all. if you drag race your car its not that hard to make a event.
  2. i think some are trying to overthink it. i agree with brian. the one on the mercury site looks sweet you can edit you own et from user control pannel. and with proof. i like that a lot. granted we have a lot of members. more than any particular make web site. so it would be a big list. but if it could be edited and done in a good manner from the user pannel. it would be simpler to manage. i under stand its just a list and some get buthurt thinking someone wants to have a larger e penis. but its not about that. its a way to track improvement. if we go to a track day and a friend speeds up and gains .2 in his et and a few mph. another friend may have missed it. so post the slip or video for all to enjoy!
  3. im shure a 15 sec car has put a lot of effort to get there. you can track what each car does in the thread. its like a record to see where you started to where you are.
  4. u can update your times as you go faster. and i would agree that since its cr. you would need to some attend to a event. im as guilty as the next guy about not making meets in the past but im trying harder. the slip dont have to be from a event. just being a active member would make you eligable.
  5. wow this blew up seems im not the only one wanting something like this. im not a moderator, but the ones ive seen work were dont matter what is done to the car. just time and et with a slip or video makes you on the list. then the list gets updated as you go faster. hell how much would a section cost, titled CRs fastest members or some shit like that. the only problem i see is we have a lot of members. so it would be a lot of work to get it going, but keeping it up to date might not be so bad. it would look like this Member name vehicle event ET mph matt crosby 82 chevy s10 Cr track day sept 11 NTR 9.19 at 147 then paste slip http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d71/Mattsv8_03/919passfromscanner.jpg
  6. we need a list of the fastest cars. ive seen other sites do this and it seems to be prety popular. i think i will have the fastest vehicle under 60,000. or maybe all together.
  7. wow. so u wana go 200 mph? change the gear asap. if your tranny is a 4 speed get 3.73. would help your 60 ft wich is your et, and still drive nice on the road. no other change will affect your cars 60 ft more than the gearing. and it will feel like you are driving a new car. im going to b trying to run the 8.0 index. and the 8.90 index. you need a car that can run beyond the index and then pull it back. mph wins most index races. thats why the 8.90 index will be easy for me. the 8.0 will be a huge challenge. cause that is a class of 7 sec cars.
  8. Im gettin a bit back Cause wife shows no income and two kids. i always clame 0 fed and state. its done in a way where a lower income can make a little more and a upper income can afford to pay a little more . its supposed to equal about the same taxes paid. but it dont always

  16. i save 300 on my little m though. so it sucks sometimes and its cool sometimes. like on a quick fuel dominator is 1100, but racer ist 700 but on a quickfuel 950 4150 sty is 800 and is 800 still. so you see sometimes its crap and sometimes its good.
  17. there is little to no discount on autometer. its a small discount on only certain items. i have the racer discount.

  20. hey does anyone know where to get good suspensin parts cheep? i need offset lower control arms with rod ends, k member for rack and pinion steering , the rack i can get at jegs unless you know where to get one cheeper, coil over front end kit. and tubular control arms with rod ends. i already have spohn tq arm with rod ends, and th 400 mount with ds loop and their panhard bar with rod ends, for now i wana put the nos motor in it but im thinking it will end up with the 357 thats in the s10 now with twin 70s from a member on here. the th 400 is the one in my s10 now. since im switching to a glide its goin in the camaro. i wana have it done this year. the blazer is almost done now.
  21. got to drive it for the first time today! all i can say is at 1/4 throttle it pulls harder than the 355 nos motor did when it had double humps on it. they were unported and it went 11.50s at 117. this thing feels way stronger. its gona be a wheel stander i think. gona order the caltracks. and 9 " in a few months.
  22. i just drove the blazer for the first time. im swaping it to e85 asap ill have to change pump and finish the 750 dp carb but it dont like 92 at all. oh yea and its fast as shit

  24. wow 1000 for head studs damn im runnin low 9s on bolts, i figure low 8s on regular studs, so when do i need the 1000 bolts 4s
