  1. Not at most Sunocos you won't. You'll get 93 at the same markup they used to charge for the 94, which is why I won't be going there anymore...so I will fill up on 93 at ANYWHERE OTHER THAN SUNOCO and save my ten cents. Does anyone understand that it's the INCREASED MARKUP that pissed me off, not losing 94? Losing 94 sucks, I had measured results using it, but I would still fill up on Sunoco 93, IF they hadn't jacked up the markup on it. Oh, and BTW, if it was just additional ethanol, then why was I getting INCREASED fuel mileage? My car LOSES fuel mileage when I have to use higher-ethanol gas while traveling out of state. Sorry, try again.
  2. My problem with these things goes way deeper than just the obvious constitutional issues. They are NOT legal in Ohio due to a provision in ORC that states that an officer can only issue a ticket if they WITNESS a traffic violation, and only the witnessing officer can write the ticket, and the various cities and villages that are installing them are taking advantage of a very shady loophole in state laws written to allow radar/laser enforcement. Plus, these things are set up and run by private companies, and there are a shit-ton of fraud, tampering, and graft cases against some of these companies for skimming funds, paying bribes, and even worse, manipulating cameras. They set them to go off at lower speeds than the law calls for, or to trigger early at red lights. Several cities have even shortened the yellow at camera intersections. Plus, several studies have shown INCREASES in traffic accidents at camera intersections as drivers slam on their brakes to avoid the camera instead of coasting through a late yellow.
  3. The assumption that kind of idiot makes is that every motorcycle accident is exactly the same as slamming face-first into a concrete wall. Aren't most bike accidents like this, where you get knocked off the bike and tumble/slide down the road? A helmet might not do shit in the concrete-wall scenario, but it's gonna save your fucking life in a tumble.
  4. Man, the kitchen carpet in my famliy's old house was paisley, I shit you not... Half-finished basement was floor-to-ceiling dark brown paneling. Fucking depressing...
  5. um, miss the point much? They just JACKED UP THEIR PRICE ON 93! And yes, the tune was a bit rough, but on 94, I saw ZERO KR at any throttle position until just recently when it started having some lifter troubles. That's getting fixed when I install a bunch of new parts and then it goes over to Dyno Brian. Just waiting for the lifters and a rear mount to come in, and trying to find one other part before it can go in.
  6. Yeah, long day, late night, I'm off my game. And yes, it seems to be at least a regional change. Some stations may be lagging behind, or waiting to switch after draining their tank. I found out when I filled up on Norton Rd, checked both Sunocos on Georgesville, same thing.
  7. +rep, just because he made it this far. Well, also because his car makes mine look good in comparison...
  8. Gee, I do? So that's why the one time I had to put 91 in the car, I watched my KR reading jump like crazy every time I got into the throttle even a tiny bit? Or why I got 5mpg less on that tank, even though I was babying it the whole time until I could find a station with good premium? Or do you possibly mean "IN that tank", to which my reply is: You waste your money on that stereotypical symbol of inadequacy?
  9. I just face-palmed myself so hard I've got a nosebleed. How can you READ that book and think that the movie was anything other than pure garbage? Unless...oh God, they didn't re-edit the book to match the movie, did they? As for G.I.Joe...it stars Marlon Wayans. Instant epic fail.
  10. They just lost my business forever. They just eliminated their Ultra94 from pumps in the last couple days, but added 89 to the mid-grades, so they still have four grades of gas. But instead of splitting the price difference of mid-grade, they kept the same 10-cent price gap between grades, so 91 and 93 are now both $.10 more per gallon....gouging much? Goodbye Sunoco. Guess I'll be filling up at Shell from now on.
  11. Simple truth; if you're texting, you are not looking at the road. Might as well drive blindfolded. I think it oughtta be a straight $1000 fine. $500 for talking on the phone without a hands-free set. As for you idiots that don't wear seatbelts, I have no problem with a law that says you can drive without them, as long as it also says that you can't collect medical liability if you're not wearing one. Same for motorcycle helmets.
  12. I've had a Voyager Titanium for about 9 months now, not a single problem, love this phone.
  13. More to it than that. He's also claiming they refused to make reasonable concessions for him to attend to his duties to the National Guard.
  14. It's pretty much a "tough shit" kinda thing. you can keep them out of the house fairly easily, the garage a little less easily, your yard...no fucking way, forget it. You're pretty much stuck with the ones under your bedroom window unless you feel like randomly scattering toxic chemicals all around the outside of your house.
  15. Real: Kid needs to have the shit beaten out of him for being a little bitch. Fake: Kid needs to have the shit beaten out of him for being stupid enough to post something like this. Either way: reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee....
  16. Supposedly it's his little brother posting them. On the real side, if this kid were for real, he'd be covered in bruises. If he threw a fit like that on anyone like me or the people I hang around with, he'd get the SHIT kicked out of him. No way could he get through a week at a normal school without getting fucked up.
  17. Huh. If I had the kid pinned like that, I'd tell him "Let's make a deal, you tell me who your buddies are and where they live, and I'll call the cops now. If you don't, I'll call them in ten minutes and tell them I acted in self defense..."
  18. They were brakes...and he wouldn't have much worry of just falling over, the skates are mounted to rigid boots, just like inlines, so as long as they're attached, he's not going over...still, that took balls like watermelons...
  19. Actually, the line has gotten pretty fuzzy with the humanists including themselves as atheists. And BTW, most actual atheists will tell you not to capitalize the word. Atheism isn't a religion, an organization, or even an organized system of beliefs, and therefore shouldn't be used as a proper noun. Some atheist-founded groups use the word in their titles, in which case, it is proper to capitalize.
  20. Massive suckage. Turned the channel after 15 minutes.
  21. Um, forgetting Shiva, Vishnu, and the rest of the bunch? Hinduism certainly does fit the traditional definition of a religion...Buddhism is a little foggier, as Buddhists don't actually worship Sidhartha Gautama, and the aim of Buddhist enlightenment isn't to please any supreme being's ideas of sin or morality. The hair-dryer thing is a joke. That's all. It's become a very popular way to stick a finger in the eye of institutions and people whose favorite phrase is "Freedom OF religion, not freedom FROM religion." Atheists like myself generally don't much care whether those around them are religious or not, as long as they don't attempt to force their beliefs on us. However, in recent years, many have banded together in order to protect our rights in the face of new, mounting attempts by religious organizations to force creationism back into schools, and a new emphasis on religion in the rhetoric of politicians, as well as the intrusion of religion into the law on such issues as abortion and gay rights.
  22. BS. The ticket has to be filed immediately with his day's paperwork, and the clerk has to have it on file so you can have access to it while preparing a defense if you choose to fight it. Take it to court. The judge will toss it. Ask to have court costs waived. Afterwards, I'd give the nearest station a call and ask the Captain to review the ticket...
  23. So, the military is making rice with my tax dollars? Nice job guys.
  24. Actually, I LIKE those stipulations. The alarm is something you should have anyway, as it's one more layer of safety, and can warn you when someone has actually broken in. If you're not a light sleeper, even someone breaking a window in another room probably won't wake you immediately. Two, having someone to go to the range with who has had REAL firearms training and can pass some of it on...well, I sure as fuck wouldn't turn it down... Finally, as somebody always suggests(correctly), before you buy, go up to the New Albany indoor range and shoot a selection of stuff. I like the Springfield XD line, a lot of guys like Glock or M&P. Alost everyone can agree on 1911s. And of course, shotguns are always good, just don't think that they're a guaranteed hit...practice, practice, practice.
  25. He did this shit on SWING-ARM SHOCKS?! Holy fucking awesome... He even has a switch on the shifter that turns on a "misfire" mode to make it sounds like a stock Model A!
