Colt 1903: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/6b/Colt_1903_right_side.jpg Put a box through one and you'll know why!

Well, look on the bright side.....you don't have to waste a ton of time deciding which bits are salvageable.

BTW, that "movie ricochet sound" actually does happen, just not every time. Go to a range where they use metal spinners and you'll hear it occasionally. Trust me, every time I hear it at Black Swamp up in Delphos, I flinch...

Yup, and then there's these fuckers: http://www.metacafe.com/watch/211223/the_bollard_test/ -
As much of a GM guy as I am, I think the Camaro looks like ass from the outside, and nasty, rotting, gangrenous, man-ass on the inside. They finally topped the Asstek. And BTW, if I could afford a Camaro, I'd buy a G8. Also, Challenger looks good, but is an overweight pig, and the new Mustang still looks like a Capri. Oh, and the Mustang is over weight too...in fact, anything that outweighs my Buick is overweight.

My bro says he's heard the guy's guess as to what happened, based on recovering the bullet: Bullet hit a stone in such a way that it smashed flat and spun like a saw blade, ricocheted in a high arc back into the dirt in front of him and shot back up at that odd angle and smashed his "ears". It may even have "hopped" more than once.

"34 year old Isabel Hernandez". Any bets as to her citizenship? BTW, better link to the video: http://www.fox4kc.com/wdaf-amazing-vide0-child-almost-hit-092209,0,1390126.story -
http://www.wzzm13.com/news/news_story.a ... 6&catid=14 This is insane...video is in upper right window. So...for any of us that have ever complained about bumping one of these concrete-filled parking poles...I'll never bitch about them again...

One note: There have been a number of articles by Cold War era intelligence officials that point to the USSR's having had nowhere near the actual launch capacity as the USA, even though they outnumbered us on warheads and missiles. The Soviets success rates in testing were dismal, something on the order of a 90% failure to detonate in testing. Their missiles had about the same failure rate. So, out of a thousand missiles, 900 wouldn't make it to the USA...out of the hundred that make it, 90 would either totally fail to detonate, or fizzle-yield(detonate, but only at near-critical, spewing horrifying levels of hard and soft radiation and radioactive particles but not producing the full explosive effect). It doesn't seem the current mob over there are doing any better, BTW: http://www.defensenews.com/story.php?i=4193033 Meanwhile, the US success rate in testing was at least 95%...

State OK's use of secret GPS tracking devices (in cars)
GonneVille replied to ImUrOBGYN's topic in Passing Lane
Well, I can't say I like the idea of this one, but unfortunately, it doesn't seem to violate the Constitution or BoR in any way, so I guess we're stuck with it. OTOH, there was a bill introduced in Cali a few years back that would have forced ALL Californians to allow the government to wire a GPS into their car so their mileage could be tracked in order to assess a "mileage tax" that would take the place of the highway tax on fuel. The rationale was that hybrid and high-efficiency cars still cause the same amount of wear on roads, but because they use less fuel, don't pay their fair share of highway fuel taxes... Yeah, you wanna talk about bringing down a rain of shit on your own head. I wouldn't even want to imagine being the guy who finally got the Greenies, the Libertarians, the survivalists, the Anarchists, the gearheads, the Yuppies, the Conspiracy Theorists, AND the ACLU, not to mention your run-of-the-mill trendoids, to all come together on a single issue... -
Why? It seems like the driver qualifies?

Hmm, burnout on patch-n-seal...smart...

Illegal search and seziure on bethel tonight
GonneVille replied to Trouble Maker's topic in Dumpster
Wrong. There have been many instances where the police have pursued cars that turned around in the road rather than continue to a checkpoint. The first time that happened, that argument became null. Most of the time when they do these checkpoints, they set it up so the only way you can avoid them once you've actually seen them is to make an illegal U-turn, so they run you down and ticket you for that. And even if they DON'T chase you down and ticket you, they've STILL forced you to undertake an illegal action to avoid the checkpoint. I don't give a shit whether their "consent" laws are technically legal or not, and I don't care what shitty, weasel arguments anyone uses to try and justify these things. A U.S. citizen should NEVER have to pass through a checkpoint for ANY reason, save the secured areas I mentioned before, such as national borders, airports, and military/government properties. And if anyone thinks I'm a drunk, or I'm soft on drunks, I invite you to read this thread, where I make my opinion of drunk drivers VERY clear. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=70722&highlight=drunk+driver -
What they're doing with you is that your purchase counts as an "established business relationship" under the do-not-call laws, so they are allowed to call you until you tell them otherwise. Next time they call, tell them you don't wish to receive any more calls from them, and to remove you from their list. Even charities and political organizations, that ARE exempt from the do-not-call lists, still have to honor a direct request not to call. BTW, whenever I make a purchase over the phone, I always make sure to tell them I do not wish to receive any calls or be put on a mailing lists. So far, I haven't had any problems. As far as charities, well, I'm a horrible human being, so my telephone number doesn't usually show up on their scopes. Political parties I just tell to get fucked when they call...

The idea of having to pass through a checkpoint for ANY reason while going about a person's daily routine (aside from entering/leaving secured areas) is an absolute violation of the intent of the Constitution, PERIOD. This bullshit about "consenting" to a checkpoint, just because they've published where they're going to be stationed is nothing but a dodge. -
Just so you know, it wasn't actually an Intense product. KY makes the stuff, and someone at Intense just had some fun with it. (WITH THE NAME, get your heads outta the gutter...) Google image search yields this...love the name of the site... http://www.mommygoggles.com/ky-intense/ http://www.mommygoggles.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/ky1.jpg

On that note, it's all good. I can see how you might have thought it, but it would have been better to ask first and shoot later...

Buck, I'm going to make this very, VERY fucking clear. Up til now, I've had zero issues with you. I had NOTHING to do with your getting banned, and if you think I'm the kind of person that would do that kind of shit, I'll gladly educate you otherwise. Chris, I know about the issues between you and Intense, and frankly, I don't give a shit about them. It's not my business, and I won't make any judgments about anyone because I'll never get the whole story straight from both parties. Intense has always treated me and my friends right, so I'll base my judgment of them on that. You've also never done any wrong by me, and on the occasions when I've met you, you were always a good dude, so again, my experience with you is how I judge you.

If so, pretty pathetic for an AMG...

I just went back to stock. I got OE-Rs for the price...yeah, big fucking savings. The stock ones are more than enough for a mild cam like the INTENSE S1x.

The Buick dropped a lifter a few weeks back, so I took it in and got all the crap I had waiting in the garage dropped in and tuned...so, all in all, a win... But for those of you with LSx motors, you might be interested in this, since the 3800 Series 2 and the LS1 use the same lifters... As you can see, the upper right lifter came apart, dropping the internals out when it was removed from the motor...and on the lower left, you can see why...the stamped sheet-metal retainer that holds the pushrod seat in place has cracked. Bob Cook found pieces of the broken retainer from the fubared lifter floating in the area above the lifter...These are CompCams OE-R lifters, and I gather there have been a few cases of them breaking like this in L67s. http://i647.photobucket.com/albums/uu196/daltonultra/Buick/DSC00708.jpg
