  1. most of Dae's restaurants are great. dude doesn't drive lambos and bentleys for nothing.
  2. i was going to try that place when i worked up by polaris. haven't been back in a while. good to hear it rocks. what'd you order there?
  3. Tip Top downtown. Unbelievably awesome food (I recommend the Pot Roast sammich bc the mustard is amazing, or get the Roast Beef on a pretzel bun. Also the Ohio Nachos are incredible if you like fresh jalapenos and olives), cheap but good drinks. I've taken dates there and spent less than $50 with food, drinks, and tip. Also, Betty's in the Short North is owned by the same person who owns Tip Top, a little more expensive but great food, local ingredients, and very good drink menu. edit: the environment in both places is great too; at Tip Top you'll see people in sweats and a t-shirt drinking with people coming from dinner at Mitchell's. Most people there are in their 20s and 30s and its a really cool environment.
  4. UPDATE: Props to Arbors of Watermark! They didn't fix the blower (blown motor, spare coming tomorrow) but they brought space heaters. Without our indication, they also noticed the loose front doorknob (we always deadbolt it so we never called them about the doorknob) and replaced it. I've lived in so many run-down hovels that this kind of attention to detail in maintenance depts. is shocking and welcome. Send your landlord a certified letter detailing the issues in your apt, especially the leaky toilet. By Ohio law they have 30 days to remedy the situation or you may begin withholding rent (by depositing it with the county clerk I believe). http://ohiorentersrights.com/ <----your best friend. Someone should sticky that link or something.
  5. Not quite to that point yet, but I need some advice. Before going to work this morning I noticed our heat was not functioning. Long story short, I thought it was the blower because our hot water was fine. Fast forward to now when my roommate gets home and tells me heat is not fixed and blower still won't blow. Maintenance person at our apt complex said a guy went out, that it was indeed the blower that wasn't working, and that he oiled/fixed it. She's sending him out again but I do NOT want to stay in an apt with no heat tonight. I know that for this to be considered a constructive eviction case I have to send a certified letter, which will be done tomorrow. My question is what recourse do I have now? If I check into a hotel tonight will I be allowed to deduct that cost from next month's rent? I'm not gonna play hardball (yet) because so far my landlords have been wonderful about maintenance, but I've done the "grin and bear it" approach to losing heat overnight and dont want to repeat.
  6. I still have that 97 SHO on the lot if you want to have a drive
  7. there are plenty of good reasons for not wearing your seatbelt. like all those people whose story of being ejected from a vehicle before something even more catastrophic happened in the vehicle results in them never wearing a belt for the rest of their life. unfortunately for them, they don't understand the reality of statistical probability.
  8. home depot has them for dirt cheap (get it?) the short answer to your question is that regular people will favor FWD while car guys will favor RWD (in an AWD-less world). what Draco-Rex has said is pretty much all you need to pay attention to. snow tires are the most understated investment you can make. not only will they give you much better traction in snow, but they are designed to have maximum grip at much lower temperatures than all-season tires, even on dry pavement. invest in a narrow set of steelies with good snow tires and it doesn't matter what kinda car you're driving. that said, I'll always prefer RWD in this weather. living in new england for 16 of my 23 years with a father who only drives RWD BMWs has given me enough experience to know that no one is really in control on the fluffy white stuff, but the best you can do is practice car control in a parking lot. most people are terrible in the snow because they don't know how their car will act in any circumstance. so practice. get out there and see what it takes to get your car to lose control, then see what it takes to regain control. in short, it doesn't matter what you drive; put snow tires on it and spend lots of time learning to drive in adverse conditions and NEVER EVER TAILGATE IN THE SNOW.
  9. a long time ago (before i was born) my dad was driving and hit a patch of sand around a turn, ended up going head on into a tree. he was wearing his seatbelt which snapped his collarbone in half, his passenger was not buckled up and had a chunk of his forehead removed by the windshield. ask her which one of those she thinks would be more excruciating.
  10. good to hear you weren't hurt. it doesn't surprise me about all the accidents. the snow went away and it seems everyone forgot their tires arent as grippy when its 30 degrees and the road is covered in salt and grease.
  11. shiiiiit that sucks. hope everyone's ok any details? looks like he ran into someone from behind pretty square on and then someone clipped him trying to avoid him.
  12. what I'm hoping for: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KpPWviOkW8U edit: but i expect an easy GSP win
  13. Where I lived in CT and MA, you're legally required to clear your sidewalk of snow/ice within 24 hrs of a snowfall for just that reason. No one bothers in OH, but IMO it should be required. Of course no one in Ohio would give up their God-given right to sit on their ass inside and not do any work if they damn well please.
  14. its true, she really does love to break out the ole strapon and buttfuck white trash who think asian symbols are cooler than just writing "eternal love" in english on your skin
  15. jewellery. jewlery sounds vaguely anti-semitic
  16. you should tat a hand on each asscheek as if theyre pulling your butt apart so when you gay man lover goes in for the kill, he'll be reminded of goatse
  17. the new 300 takes away everything that was so inspiring about the old one. Yeah, they toned down the baller/gangster look of the last generation one, but thats what made it so great. It was mostly driven by ballers and gangsters but at the same time it was upscale enough for Grandpa to drive, feel young in, yet not have to "step down" in his mind. The new one is a clear appeal to the septuagenarians who didn't like the high hood and brash grille, but it alienates everyone who liked the ridiculous Gotham City villain looking car. Also, crappy hard plastics galore. 200C is still a goddamn sebring and I don't care what anyone says. Just cuz you put a cheap "200C" logo on the C pillar doesn't change anything, and the front proves that it is still clinging to the terrible Sebring roots; which also indicates that Mitsubishi won't be doing anything to modify the now-laughable Eclipse's Sebring roots as well. The only people who buy the Challenger V6 are the people who didn't do enough research on the Mustang or Camaro V6. And AFAIK you still can't get the SRT8 with a stick shift which is mindbogglingly retarded.
  18. played, 100% it, loved it, want to buy fable III, dont want to trade in to gamestop. $20 I have thursday and sunday off, hoping to get rid of it to play some fable on those days
  19. http://www.monoprice.com/home/index.asp cheapest i've seen anywhere on pretty much every cable in existence. http://www.monoprice.com/products/subdepartment.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10232 $6.46 for 50ft and you choose your color
  20. though you may like your head unit, i'd say bite the bullet and get another one with either an aux jack (if you dont mind wires) or bluetooth compatibility (if you dont mind draining your phone battery). i love driving cars with ford sync and being able to stream high-quality music via bluetooth
