  1. I've had my PADI certification for about 11 years now. Haven't been diving in a while but it doesn't expire. I am just short of my Rescue Diver cert, I highly suggest pursuing as many certs as you can after you get your Open Water status. The places I got certified are A) closed or B) in the BVI so I've got nothing as far as recommendations. EDIT: When you get certified and take vacations, look for places that have lots of wreck dives. IMO the most fun kind of diving, especially if you do it at night.
  2. Get a Renegade when it comes out :megusta:
  3. I didn't think this was actually a thing but I've seen it happen twice in the last couple weeks. Fucking crazies are out in force.
  4. In that vein, I'd look for an old FJ40 or FJ60. Doubtful, but maybe a Defender in that price range?
  5. It's a totally different sensation than driving your dually. I had a '59 that wasn't a rat but had an SBC and it was ridiculous fun. The smells, the sounds, the challenge of driving something so huge and ridiculous without any modern assists. I know that one has power steering and discs but even still it'd probably be a hell of a lot of fun to cruise in. Not to mention they get all the right kind of attention.

  7. Always been a fan of the modified death penalty. If you can prove so conclusively, through multiple avenues of forensic data (and not just relying on witnesses), that someone did something to deserve the death penalty, just take the motherfucker out back and do it right away. Basically the death penalty is ruling to deprive someone of their right to life, so you should therefore be able to, under the strictest of circumstances, deprive someone of their rights to appeal and all the other shit that burdens the prison system. If, however, it can't be proven that conclusively, the death penalty goes out the window because it bothers me how many innocent people have potentially been put on death row from shitty witness statements.
  8. I've held off getting my permit because I don't ever really plan to carry (though it'd be nice to have the ability to do so) but a little additional education could never hurt.
  9. Al Jazeera is one of the best, least skewed news sources out there. They caught a bad rap a looooong time ago when they were the only major news outlet to show the video of Nick Berg being decapitated, and as such a lot of people assumed they either sympathized with or supported radical Muslims (the name didn't help either). They tend to censor a lot less than other news sources, and for better or worse I think they provide a lot more viewpoints. They're my go-to.
  10. On the other side of the coin, you know that psycho couple who shot 2 cops and another person in Vegas before killing themselves? Yeah, that other person who died was an idiot trying to be a hero who pulled his CCW on the guy and didn't realize the accomplice was right next to him. Just a reminder that if you're going to carry, YOUR JOB IS NOT TO BE A HERO, IT'S TO DEFEND YOURSELF AND ONLY YOURSELF. The couple referenced by OP did well by their family, but they're fortunate their daughter wasn't killed by their gunfire. Can you imagine the burden that'd put on you?
  11. I think this season really shows it, too. Scuderia Ferrari is so far off pace it is laughable, and I think it shows especially with Kimi who I consider to be a top 5 driver, but Alonso has managed to take a podium finish along with a handful of 4th place finishes while driving a car that's not even really competitive. Canada showed just how much power the Ferrari is lacking.
  12. I hear ya, I just don't think Lewis is the fastest driver. He definitely has the fastest car but I think you put Alonso/Ricciardo/Vettel in that car and at least one of them (Alonso) is faster. Plus, I rather enjoy this Nico/Lewis rivalry, it kinda harkens back to the Prost/Senna years.
  13. Lewis is so hard to like, he's got such a (beyond the expected for race car drivers) bitchy attitude about everything. He could be winning the race and he'd still be bitching about something.
  14. That's not been a secret for a while :masturboy:
  15. Bingo that's the clip I saw! Amazing driving.
  16. A truck isn't an investment, it's a cost of doing business. You drive that motherfucker into the ground, like the 400k mile F150 parts truck we use. Or the F150 the Lindsay Honda uses.
  17. What you have =/= the Toyota Hilux/pickup that has been made forever. And by forever I mean 20 years fewer than the Ford F-series :dumb: All I know is that when I had my old '59 Apache loaded up with 500lbs of mulch there were guys in Tundras, F-150s, Rams and Silverados telling me they'd never do that with their own truck, why not just pay someone else to do it. Bunch pussies.
  18. 2 reasons: Ford sold a HELL of a lot more, and most of those Fords were used for actual work, not suburban family men who don't want to feel entirely neutered by life.
  19. CANADIAN GP SPOILERS AHEAD! Haven't seen racing like that in a while! reddit user did a great frame-by-frame analysis of the last lap "incident" http://i.imgur.com/WRTu05L.jpg I was 100% on Perez's side prior to seeing this. Now I think Massa wasn't 100% innocent but Perez was definitely the irresponsible driver in this scenario. Vettel got so lucky, has anyone seen Seb's in-car footage? I can't find a video but it was scary.

  21. Invert that. Yellow w/single black spoke edit: maybe with BR-Z in yellow on the black spoke? or is that too much
