  1. For those who have short attention spans:
  2. I don't like Al Gore, and I haven't seen the flick, never really intended to. Why? I can read, don't need to see it (though with Joe's recommendation, I may). I don't need a film to convince me that we've fucked things up. Climatic shift happens, happens all the time. To say that were changing the ambient temperature directly can be argued either way and both side will not be able to prove anything. What we can prove is that our emissions are fuxing the air we breath and our bi products are screwing with our soil, our drinking water, and our fish. Did you have any idea how much mercury is in the livers et al of the fish in our waterways? They're not good to eat, downright unsafe for children. Asthma rates in children have risen by i forget how many fold. Would things suck for us if we were responsible with our pollutants? Yes. But anyone who is not willing to do that needs to get the fuck out of here, go live on the moon, I don't care, just stop fucking up my kids planet. I can't beleive short term stability has superceded our long therm ability to sustain life. Yes, I'll live in a mud hut, because I'm not a bitch. But that's not necessary. To fix things, we need to start at the top and work our way down. Evan: Read this. I don't like the sierra club, and I'm indifferent about Robby, but this speech is a must-read for EVERY American. It's long, but get through the first 5 or so paragraphs and you'll be appauled enough to keep reading. http://www.sierraclub.org/pressroom/speeches/2005-09-10rfkjr.asp Seriously man, read it. The facts in there will open your eyes. Hell with global warming, I don't think you realize just how fucked things are. Today we're the best-entertained and the least-informed people on the face of the earth. This is a real threat to American democracy. "We'd be pretty much screwed if we didn't have the things that make our world work as it is today." Are you kidding me? So what? We'll get over it. We will DEFINATELY, CERTAINLY, PERMINENTLY, and TOTALLY BE SCREWED. You won't be, so why should you care, you'll be dead. Let other people fix things.
  3. Gulf war syndrome? Your post is difficult to make out. There are a couple things that killed soldiers after the fact: Crap they were exposed to from Iraqi forces, and stuff they were exposed to from our own. Alot of guys got VERY sick from cleaning up the leftovers of SABO rounds. The fine dust of the depleated uranium was inhaled, ingested, etc. In th ebeginning, our guys were issued almost no protection against it, it was a fucking travesty.
  4. I didn't see a whole volvo. I saw a shell, but it was pretty burnt up.
  5. Thanks for the help Andy. It really would be best for me to sell the car outright and get into something cheaper, they were just offering about 70% of my minimum acceptable offer. I like the XJR, but again, if that was all they were prepared to offer on the Benz, I simply can't afford it. I've got to be strict about what acceptable monthly payments are. I'll check with my creditor about what I can do, and I also need to check with my insurer. Impress on Chip that I'm a destitute college student/father with more then a full time job who's making 60% of what he should, and that the benz is a great car.
  6. Just got back, didn't see this before I left. Any idea what they're fees are? I went to look at the XJR and offer the Benzo as trade, and also to see if they would buy the Benzo outright. As expected, they weren't willing to give what I wanted as an outright buy. This is understandable, as they are going to be trying to sell it for profit. The number made me think that, if theybought it, they would be asking about the same price as I am. Or they'd put money into it and ask even more. I still have to think about the Jag and what I'd offer. It didn't wow me as the Benz did, though it was a fine example of an XJR. The seatbelt let go while driving, and the gas pedal needed a great amount of force to put down. Apart from a stain on the rear seatbelt and the clock not working, the interior was in good shape. Unfortunately, it was full of Brit'itude, so I didn't have time to figure out the gadgets, nevermind testing them. When you floor the gas, it appears that nothing happens. Your not put back in your seat, you don't hear much, but the speedometer climbs at a respectable rate. I've got to do some more research into cost of ownership, and contact my bank about financing. Whatever I offer, I have to ad $2200 to close a current loan. I'd reeeally just prefer to sell the car and get something cheaper.
  7. do they take trades? Are they knowledgeable enough not to waste my ef'ing time on trade in values for my 16v? (everyone else has offered me $2g because "it's what book value is" Book value does not rate the 16v model.) They have an XJR that needs my sex.
  8. Nah he's dead. The catch is; It doesn't matter a damn bit, and means absolutely nothing. I loved the last minute US attempt at meddling. You could tell from the start that they reeeeally wanted him to say he had WMD stashed some where, they may have even offered him something at the last minute.
  9. Bills Country Bunker Cammo is openly welcomed. http://img294.imageshack.us/img294/168/kmfdmhicknd6.gif
  10. Nien, eine Stunde of him getting his ass beat, und eine Stunde rennen. There's no complex dialog, all the subtitles are one liners. You don't need to read to enjoy the blood spray.
  11. Still have my card in my wallet, bit beat up though. I'll rock with you in the shit Joe, as long as I get one of those wicked flashlights. There are specially trained mountain units, ja?
  12. Then life will deny you a great many things.
  13. See it. Never a dull moment, violent as hell, and (contrary to popular belief) no antisemitism.
  14. So fucking stupid I don't even know where to begin. That is definitely very illegal.
  15. Never mind idling, I remember your smoke screens.

  19. I have not only tried it, I have pwnd it, and will again. I'm heading out to Mt Washington witha group from OSU. It's an intro to mountaineering trip, my first opportunity to guide a bit. My sis is coming also. Mt Wash is supposed to have "The worst weather in the world". After a 12 hour drive, it fuckin better!
  20. "Weeeee being pulled behind a blazer on a tube is fun, weeee....now we're going up here, weeee...round the culdesac weeee....shit...cop!" (get up and walk to the side of the blazer like nothing happened, I hope he didn't see me) . That was some funny shit. I gotta check this forum more often. What's the tube-drag record now? Wasn't it in the 60s? Yep, but there were cops there anyways. They set us up real nice that night, I was proud of'm.
  21. My member number started with a 4, that's all I remember. What happened to the street snipaz!? Those guys were hardcore.
