Burger Chef FTW! You must not be from Columbus, I don't think they ever had them here. My family and I lived in Sandusky for a short time in the early 80's, and that was my favorite place. Sadly, they've been gone for years. Hardee's was an acceptable replacement, except that there are very few left in Ohio; and now they suck. There's a Little Caesar's in Mt Vernon, and one in a Kmart somewhere around town. EDIT : Anthony beat me to the Little Caesar's location.

Uh, yeah. I sure wouldn't say it's a far cry. I showed the taillights of my old 94 GT to many a stock DOHC Cobra way back when; with a pretty stock setup. Having driven several 96-01 Cobras, give me an old 5.0 SN95 any day IMHO.

Uh, no. As far as price, it only seems that way, because the guys selling this stuff can spot a tourist a mile away. Standard price = 5-10 X what he'll really sell it for. Quality, that depends. You can buy really nice stuff in Little Italy or Chelsea, but walk through Times Square or Battery Park and you'll most likely get junk because that is where all the tourists end up.

If you can afford a $30 sandwich, try a reuben from Maxie's. It's right near the corner of 7th ave. and 48th st. (Times square) One of my favorite places in the world to eat.

Okay, here's the deal. I was helping out a friend and worked a few hours at the Advance auto on N High st. at Pacemont tonight. A customer drove this truck in, and didn't drive out. It needs a starter. It's a rattle can orange Chevy K10, late 70s, early 80s, ugly, beat up 4X4. It's got headers and looks like it has a small body lift with 33" tires. $200 buys it; put a starter in it and drive it home. I don't know anything else about it, so you'll have to ask the owner. It needs to be gone by Thursday morning. It's sitting along the side of the building, and trust me; you can't miss it. Call Kenny @ 614-519-5368. $200, I sort of get the idea from him that this isn't negotiable.

I'm glad to hear your dog is okay. A few years back, I had to put my cat down. She was 21 years old; my dad brought her home when I was just a year old. It was very difficult for me, she was part of our family. My dad knew she was sick, but was just too attached to have it done. I came over to visit my parents, and she was skinny and sickly, hadn't eaten in days, slobbering on herself, etc. She had been having seizures for the last year or so, the vet said she had a brain tumor that would eventually cause this to happen. At the time, she said the cat was touch and go, that she could die during a seizure if left untreated; but due to her age, they wouldn't operate on her. I took her to an emergency vet clinic and had her put to sleep. Probably the most gut wrenching thing I've ever done.

Classy? No. Admirable? Maybe. (What'd she look like?)
