You know what's funny? My insurance used to be a fortune, even though I've never had an accident. My MVR shows one ticket, (Even though I've been cited over 40 times in the last five years.. Friendly prosecutors > Tickets) My wife has never had an accident, no tickets, and is quite possibly the worst driver in existance; but she's golden to the insurance company. My premiums went from over $3000 a year to under $1200, and we've purchased more expensive vehicles in that time period. Unbelievable.

I'm not sure how you slipped that plate past the DMV.... about ten years ago, my license plate on my S/C Mustang said "Z28 KLR" and the DMV revoked them, sending me a letter telling me that a whole list of words and abbreviations were no longer acceptable. Nice looking car though!

I'll agree.... problem is, streetable and fun to drive are relative. Everyone has different opinions.... I for one, spent a small fortune modding all of my previous cars, and ended up with stuff that I didn't want to live with on a day to day basis. Call me a pussy if you will, but the things I found "cool" and acceptable when I was 16, are no longer. That's why I bought the Corvette... so I could be fairly quick, handle well, not hate driving it, and if anything breaks, I can just drop it off at the dealer to be fixed. I just realized, at some point in the last ten years, I've been castrated. How pathetic.

Here is a link to an Acrobat file containing Lancaster city ordinances, which your offense is in violation of. LCO Pretty cut and dry, don't even bother fighting it; there's not much to gain. The court won't even hear an argument with regard to the officer's discretion. (Whether or not the average cop would've written it up is of no consequence.) It's a non-moving violation which = no points, which = the win. Just pay it and move on. Fighting it in court may get you a lower fine, but by the time you factor in the court costs and your time, you're right back in the same neighborhood.
