VW doesn't say anything about it being turbocharged,just says it's a 4valve VR6.it would be mean with a turbo though.hell it would be sufficient w/out one.especially for a college car. if it were me ,i'de want something that was moderatly fast ,yet safe to park overnight outside w/out worrying about it.

i don't get it...you mean as opposed to TBI? or is it on the other side of the valves or something?

if it's the one near the entrance laying on the ground....that one is a FWD out of an altima. and the s12 that someone saw was probably a vg30e single cammer.there was an option for that as well as the vg30et.

+1 on that..maybe you'll get lucky and it's just dirty/stuck. if it runs good when you're giving it gas then it's probably not the fuel pump. i'de give the IACV a good rundown.

there willprobably be 5 or 6 of the same type in there, so before buying a new one just switch it with the horn relay or something non-critical to try it out.don't wanna fix problems that don't exist.

lots of cars do that.does sound like a temp sensor,could be a stuck relay as well.try switching it with another in the relay box before buying a new sensor.

i suggesty those parts from the dealer if you're keeping the car(and the engine) for awhile. partslinger honda stuff tends to be rather crappy.

i helped a guy out with a coilover install on an older integra that was the same way.bottom coils on both sides were broke off in the perch.

that info isn't all right either. the S13's are high port engines that favor a higher powerband in stock form while the S14/S15's are a low port,and both have the VCT that advances the intake cam 20 degrees in the meat of the powerband to add a little grunt lost to the lowport design,and larger turbo.the S14/S15 turbos are very similiar aside from the S15's divides turbine housing and inconel exhaust wheel. the S15 also has a better ignition,bigger injectors,the 6speed,and a helical LSD.the 6speed isn't really all that weak either.it's been proven to 400hp,the main reason they are swapped in favor of the 5speed is replacement cost.and drifters bust up the 5speeds quite often as well.

buy a greddy header,it's way cheaper than an OEM replacement. or get a hammerdrill with a longassed bit and run it through there until you can replace the cat.

pick up a magazine (one with big wheels and a girl on the front) and find out. it got cool all the sudden for some damn reason. edit: i think i remember when it really got popular,SCC did an article where they "built" a "silvia" for "$5000". since then people actually think it's possible to have a good looking,reliable powerful, car for under 5k.it's like the holy grail that more often than not turns out to be the white whale.
