stock jets, vance and hines pipe. it was like that when i bought it. but its run fine with no rejetting... just some fiddling with the pilot screws and it gets rid of the flat spot down low. it happens at any RPM if i go to full throttle. if im just tooling along, it will happen once the bike hits around 5K rpm.

thats rotating the tires... and yeah, it goes across (right front to back left, vice versa) unless you have directional wheels/tires then you just go front to back. but im talking about mounting two totally new tires.

my dad got two new tires on his car the other day. for some reason, the shop told him they should go on the front axle. he says they should go on the rear axle, and the tire manufacturers agree. so if the manufacturer states put new tires on the rear, why do the shops disagree?

i thought maybe this should go in the for sale section, but since its a bike jacket, i figured id post here. plz move it if that isnt cool i bought this from putty about 2 years ago. since then ive worn it about 10 times total. i ended up also getting a mesh jacket and a textile one, and honestly, i wear those more than i do this one. its a wintex, made in austria. european size 56, which equals american 46. i think thats about a large? its pretty heavy and thick. good solid jacket. ive never fallen or anything with it on, so its not scuffed up or anything. removable liner, inside pocket, vents under the arms. i forget how much i bought it for... i think like 120 or something? id be happy to get 100 bucks for it. http://i13.tinypic.com/4oto2n9.jpg http://i11.tinypic.com/4vdp6jk.jpg

ill have to double check the float height and the fuel level... IIRC it was within spec, but i will check it again. fuel filter is fairly new, and i dont think the gas is bad, but it may be worth the 6 bucks to drain it and fill it up with new, to see what happens.

on my 93 EX500... it doesnt want to rev past 5000 RPM. if i take it slow, once i hit 4th gear, and 5K the bike just falls on its face. wont acellerate, and it starts misfiring... if i wind it out in the first 3 gears, and shift above 5K, it will run fine until 5th gear when it gets down around 5-6K again... ive cleaned the carbs, all passages are clear. new plugs and wires. coils check out ok with the multimeter. plugs are gapped correctly. any ideas?

you'd think they would be on top of cashing the check though... gotta get that money!

if you're going to get a ninja 500, id strongly recommend buying it used. you can get a newer used one for a few grand less than one with zero miles on it. it kinda takes a bit of the hurt off when you/your wife drops it... they hold their value pretty well too (other than the loss you take the moment you ride it off the lot). they havent changed the design of those bikes since 1988... just some minor cosmetic things, other than that, the rest of it has stayed the same for 20 years... i guess if it aint broke dont fix it. if you keep your eyes open, you can find an older one in decent condition for around a grand. they are pretty easy to work on too.

of course this is a scam. its the second one listed on the craigslist scam page... just like OSUGT said, he will send you a check that exceeds the amount of sale and shipping. he will say that he "trusts" you and ask you to refund the difference to him, or send it to his buddy who he owes some money too... the catch is that its a fake check that he will send you. the bank often will cash it and give you the money, but two weeks later once it goes to processing, they will find out its a fake and hold YOU personally accountable for it, since YOU were the one who deposited it.

i found one like three years ago when i was shopping for a new car. 98 Camaro 6 spd hard top. silver in color. i forget how much. i think like 9 or 10. it had about 60K on it... they said no one wanted it b/c it was a hard top... so the next day i drive over to take a look and its sold :roll: so i got stuck with a malibu talk about shitty days lol

for running, i got those nike ones that flex with your feet. i forget what they are called, but they are damn comfortable for running.

ahh i see. i figured it was a basement well window... gotcha. also, though, you need something more concrete than your word that you see it running. you need it on video or something, otherwise its just your word against her's, and that doesnt really hold up too well in court. another idea is to get a dog

also, get one of those plastic things that cover the window well.
