yeah but the thing is, that dude he killed was in jail for burglary. im not saying he wasnt a POS criminal, but still, its not alright to just kill people in prison. maybe if the guy he killed was on death row too, for beating an 90 year old lady to death, then yea fuck both of them... but the death penalty isnt an applicable punishment for a burglary charge.

i also had a neighbor hit my childhood dog. it was like 7 at night and she came up to the house crying and talked to my dad. he went out to the street to check it out. i started to go out cuz i wanted to know what was going on, and she wouldnt let me go out there? then she told me she hit my dog... i loved that dog and all... and i felt bad, but i wasnt really mad at her or anything. i was pissed that my dog was such a dumbass that it thought it was cool to chase cars on the street. the dog lived, and we took it to the puppy ER. they had to put some pins in its leg an shit. it was kind of gross. then 2 years later it bit my moms friend, so my parents had it put down.

ive hit 4 deer. luckily none of them really fucked up my car... well, the last one did a bit of damage, but it wasnt TOO bad. i hit 2 dogs too. the first one was about 5 years ago on 161 about half way between new albany and newark. it just seriously came out of nowhere and ran right in front of me... the dudes yard had a bunch of trees in it, so it was pretty much impossible to see the dog in the yard... i was going about 60 or so. hit the brakes as soon as i saw it, but it was too late. the dog didnt make it. the dude was cool though, he was more pissed at the dog, than he was at me... but not like i could have really done anything. then like 3 years ago, i was driving down my street, and my car made this HORRIBLE noise. i was like WTF was that? i thought i ran over a log or something haha. i looked in the rearview and didnt see anything, so i thought "shit, something big must have broken" and went home, crawled under the car to see if i could figure out what the hell that noise was. then like a minute later my phone rings and its this kid down the street like "YOU HIT MY DOG AND DIDNT EVEN STOP!!!1" WTF? i felt really really shitty about that and went back down there. they were cool though. i had NO IDEA that id hit the dog, or that it was even outside... the dog was pretty much none the worse for wear. honestly, i thought, if i hit something, it would be lying in the street, or moving around back there, and i would have seen it in my rear view...

the first bike i rode on was when i was about 8 or 9 on my uncles 80something suzuki. i cant remember what kind it was... but we rode down into southeast ohio. i remember how cool it felt to just be on the bike riding out through the country... how different it was from a car... the 360 degree view, the wind in your face... they had a quad too, and i started to learn the basics on that thing... like throttle control, shifting, braking etc. my cousins had dirtbikes, so i would ride those all the time with them. they had a YZ80 and some kind of suzuki 80. i think an RM? good times.

dunno if any of you guys know, or were planning on going, but sunday, there is a fairly big car show and ice cream festival in utica, at the velvet ice cream olde mill. usually there is a good amount of muscle cars up there... plus ice cream festival... ice cream eating contests etc. good times. then on monday, in the town of lithopolis, oh (just outside of canal winchester) there is another car show, albeit smaller than the utica one. still good times though. i forget what time registration opens... i wanna say like 8:30 or 9 am. i think my friend's uncle will be there with his MINT 58 impala. so if you're looking for something to do sunday and/or monday, here ya go

i like cruisers, but for the riding i do, my bike suits me just fine id still lean more toward the sport touring category if i were going to go on a long haul trip on the bike... id really like my next bike to be a dual sport though. there really is nothing like hitting 100 miles of tarmac, then cutting out across a corn field, or turning off on a fire road or something and doing another 50 miles through the woods

also, another note on the wiring, i havent installed it yet, because i kinda dont want to cut into my wiring harnesses. ill probably end up putting my gauges on ebay, and dont really wanna do that with a cut harness lol. but i got another harness coming in the mail shortly, from a guy with an EX500 race bike, who has gotten rid of all unnecessary crap for racing. im just going to cut that harness, attach the wires, and then hopefully just be able to plug it in.

thanks for the comments guys smokey, ive ridden around town a bit with the mirror, and so far, its doing great. like i said, the box says it will stay put at speeds in excess of 120 mph or something like that. it will move if you want to readjust it, but other than that it sticks in place perfectly. it doesnt vibrate or anything. the mirror is glass (rather than plastic) and very clear too, its also got kind of a fish eye thing going on, but not too much, so you can see more of an area behind you. its reversable too, so you can switch it out for left and right sides. they make one with a hinge that you can fold in, but its like 20 dollars more, so i opted for this one lol. as for the gauge, go to www.electrosport.com thats where i got it from. you have to call them to order. it took about a week to get here. they have a whole bunch of different gauges. they have a multitude of speedo drives, so you can just plug it into the stock location if you want. i opted for the magnetic pick up... similar to like a bicycle speedometer or something... i figure thats probably a bit more accurate that the cable driven one? as for the installation, its comes with a wiring harness, and a diagram. basically, all you have to do is match up your wires to its wires (i.e. turn signal to turn signal, neutral light to neutral light etc.) for the tach, you hook it onto one of the coils. it worked out to be like 120 out the door, which i didnt think was too bad considering all the stuff that it does. i could have gotten a universal speedo from JC whitney for like 50, but it didnt have tach, trip odometer, lights etc... i found out later though, if you mention the "customfighters.com group buy" when you order it, you can get it for around 90 bucks. it was smaller than i expected it to be though... its maybe only 3 inches in diameter. i personally dont have any shots of it lit up but i found this one here: http://www.blackjoe.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=5707 http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o126/caffcruiser/gauge1.jpg
