  1. Today's impulse buy of the day....... Kel Tec PLR16 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=495&pictureid=5829 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=495&pictureid=5828 I've been wanting one for a while but not something I would go buy new. Came across a great deal I couldn't say no to. It's easier to ask the wife for forgiveness than it is permission! lol
  2. I'll take the T-Maxx, huddy table and starter box if you still have them. PM me where to pick them up at.
  3. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=495&pictureid=5124 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=495&pictureid=3901 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=495&pictureid=5123 suppressor is fake, but looks kind good in the picture
  4. Has to be shipped to an FFL then you pick it up from there.

    Magazines

exactly what I was going to say. I've never had a problem with factory mags or quality aftermarket mags. I consider Wilson Combat and Chip McCormick mags good quality, stay away from stuff like Promag, ATI, Mec-Gar. Your better off buying 1 good mag than 2 or 3 of the cheap mags that will give you grief. I was buying ATI G22 mags from cheaperthandirt.com for $5 each about 2 years ago so I bought 20 of them and out of the 20, 5 of them was total junk. They are ok to use at the range but I had 2 of them pop the floor plates and dump all the ammo when I slammed them into the gun. Not something you'll want to trust your life with. Do springs wear out, yea sure they do. It takes a long long long time though.
  9. try Armslists.com or gunlistings.org This will sell quick on there for $300
  10. Thanks. Last gun show I went to it cost $8 to get into.
  11. What do they charge to get in the gun show these days? Haven't been to one in a few years.
  12. Ice, I just fixed a 19in Samsung LCD TV that wouldn't power up buy replacing the canister capacitors on the power supply board. Cost me $15 and about 2hr total work time. Google your make and model number along with the problem your having and I bet you'll find a fix. If you find a canister capacitor with a bulged up top or leaking then it's bad and needs replaced. Worth a shot if you're handy with a screwdriver and a soldering iron.
  13. you can buy this stuff at Gander Mountain but its expensive that way. Just buy the ingredients from Amazon.com and make it yourself. Tannerite is nothing more than Aluminum powder and ammonium nitrate. I made this video when I first tried it out. I set the 1Lb container at 110 yards and shot it with a .308 http://youtu.be/3t8qUEKOn8k?hd=1
  14. Here's a couple screen shots of the show. Sorry for the low res, but no HD signal on the PC. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=680&pictureid=5707 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=680&pictureid=5708 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=680&pictureid=5709 He did a great job. He said the final round was like taking a knife to a gun fight. He had no chance at beating that 8 sec Mustang.
  15. Nice find. thanks for sharing the link
  16. actually they are Fiber-Fill Nylon Self-Lubricating Followers per the website. I would have called them plastic. I like these mags because the followers front tip won't fall downward and cause jams like the cheaper mags do. I can meet on the West side of Columbus if anyone is interested.
  17. I have two of these...Wilson-Combat-1911-Magazine-45-ACP-Compact-7-Round Would like $25 each or would trade for full size 1911 mags (prefer Wilson Combat or equivalent quality) or Glock 17/22/26/27 mags. http://shopwilsoncombat.com/images/47oxcb-1.JPG
  18. It gets even funnier if you look at the free history report... The car has mileage discrepancies and been a stolen/recovered car. Gee think he'll get the B-I-N price of $15K?
  19. The pinky extension on the baby GLOCKS make a big difference. If you want to feel what the baby Glock feels like with the pinky extension I can meet up with ya and you can check out my G27. Also don't forget about Pete and Chris at West Jeff Outfitters in downtown West Jeff. They are great guys that know their shit. Prices are competitive with any shop around Columbus. Good luck with your search
  20. Great points. I'm replacing my Glocks ASAP. BTW Thanks for the chuckle.. I too have heard great things about the Ruger SR9C. A good friend I'm going shooting with next week has one he wants me to try out. He switched over from a Glock 23 he likes it so much so this gun is peaking my interest right now.
  21. The fact can't be denied that Glock is the most widely distributed and most reliabe handgun manufacturer in the world. With that being said...... There are definitely other good guns too. My experience would line the choices up as follows.. Glock or the P229 Tough choice as long as price isn't a factor. XDm Beretta This landed here simply because I have 0 experience with it. I won't recommend the Sig P250 to anyone. I've shot several of the first run P250's in 9mm and 40S&W and those guns were terribly inaccurate. After shooting a mags worth of ammo I would pull the target in and see a pattern that resembled what a Tec-9 would leave at 50ft. 8in grouping at 15-20ft. It was so bad we had 4 people shoot a magazine of ammo out of the 40 compact and give us their opinion. Everyone had the same results and said the same thing. "Sig makes THIS?!?!" Even the salesman at Blackwing that day told us that the P250 is the 'Black sheep' of the Sig line. The P229 and P226 are two of the best shooting handguns I've ever shot. The P250 leaves a lot to be desired. Again this was Spring/Summer 2011 so maybe by now Sig has fixed the issues with the pistol. Sounds like MotoZachl is having good luck with his. Also to the folks that don't like Glocks.... Why? What is it about the Glocks you don't care for? (Not trying to bait someone into an argument, just curious)
  22. I would love to know more about this shotgun too. I've been looking for an inexpensive left handed semi-auto for hunting. This shotty reminds me of the Charles Daly line of semi-autos (which I like a lot). They are very lite to carry all day and I don't have to worry about beating up the stock since it's plastic. Nice Xmas present!!
