His insurance. I believe it turned out the car owner (his daughter) did not have insurance so his policy with Nationwide had to kick in and they accepted liability. This gives me even more reason to believe they don't want to pay me shit since the first two weeks after the wreck was just Nationwide trying to get out of assuming liability altogether.

I am responding to the fact that my dad told him all of the shit we put into the car, i.e. tranny, rear end, etc. These weren't UPGRADES per say, but merely keeping the car in good condition. This guy looked at the pictures and tells my dad "Sure don't look like no show car to me" then went online trying to find nicer ones. Well fuck you, dude. You have pictures of the car from AFTER an accident in the dead of winter. You don't know how the car can look. Sure, I can go buy a 170k Mustang for $2500. What happens 5k down the road when I have to turn around and put $1400 into the tranny when it goes out? All shit that was taken care of on mine. You can't compare.

Ok. So the Mustang was totalled out by Nationwide and I am waiting for them to give me a number. This number could be good (4k ish) or crappy (2k ish). Who knows. I am going to bitch until the world's end if they offer me 2k so we will forget that number. I am posting mainly so that if anyone sees anything that catches their eye that is decent, let me know. I do not necessarily want a "Mustang replacement" nor another Mustang. Probably something with good gas mileage that doesn't smell nor look like someone took a shit on the inside. I just need something to get me through the next 6-8 months until I graduate and start my job where I can afford something newer and nicer. Just thought I should start looking now because once Nationwide cuts me a check they are going to take this rental away in a heartbeat. I appreciate any help or leads. BTW if mods don't like this because it is not "specific" enough feel free to delete or move. Just looking for a little help.
