even a built 2v and turbo would be a quick setup in a notch if going more for budget. The 4v is just a different setup and not something you normally see, thats why I like it

Tom: yea, the c4 was really eating up power and the eaton wasnt going to make enough. I didnt want to get crazy with n2o and a kenny bell or whipple was just really out of the picture. I want to use it for marketing when I go out and if I have my car setup with a whipple, just kinda looks bad :-) I was really just planning on a light build and maybe getting it into the 10's. That all went out the window as well as the 03 motor. I have a different shortblock and a set of heads hopefully will be here this week. Cams were ordered today, stock cams of course.... So just picking up misc parts now and hopefully Ill be able to get the heads bolted on, timing set and the motor back in. btw, we need to go shooting again, I havent been back yet. Give me a shout sometime if you wanted to go

He is going to have the same or more in an all motor modular motor build that might be around 500. With good parts and the right setup, you could easily daily drive at the 650-700 level. I have a 2v customer in vegas that pretty much drives his everday and currently just shy of 700 wheel. Im pretty much doing the same build you are talking about but maybe taking it a little further. If your considering a pushrod setup, thats a different ball game.

Its just a lot of time, thats about it but I wired everything from the 03 to work. Power windows, locks, remote entry, a/c, power steering, hydroboost, fuel system, etc. Its cool just wasnt going to make enough power, going turbo. Here is a few shots, its a cool swap and you will like it. I just really decided turbo since I really need to use it for marketing and the sc really does nothing for that. King of street this year was a whipple notch, the cars are light! http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj77/on3p/03notch.jpg http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj77/on3p/DSC03171.jpg http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj77/on3p/DSC03309-1.jpg http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj77/on3p/DSC03309.jpg http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj77/on3p/DSC03301.jpg All depends on your power you want to make, give me some ideas and Ill tell you what I would do. I have a complete eaton swap sitting at the shop as well if you come up with a 4v motor and also have teksid block, 8 bolt crank, 99 or 03 heads, etc if you wanted to build your own setup

2003 ford mustang cobra conv. - $10000 (mnt.sterling,ohio)

I bought one beat up over the winter to part out for $8500, someone stole that car -
to most people they are not worth what I would want. I sent you the link to what they are and some people discussing them. There are very few sets of them and would pass as an iron head if you painted them. it would really be for someone building a diehard sleeper or something where they wanted to visually look like it was a stock head car. to my understanding, there are only 4-6 sets of these around. They are cast with the "xe" for experimental use and came from Roush. Sitting in their storage room and I bought them from there, this is a new set which they never tested with.

if that car is halfway clean, thats a buy for sure..... Wish I didnt see this post, I might have to go check this out and could cost me -
Pretty sure the trannys are pretty stout as well, I think wotm supra is around 1500 and a stock 6sp. Could be wrong but thought I read that the other day on 6speed forums

I have my motor back in the 99 and going to start building a new single setup with forward facing headers for it. Not going to make quite the power you are, going to try and not push this one quite as hard to see if it will last
-
the 03 motor wasnt too bad, wiring and all that other happy stuff was not fun though. Its worth it and will be different when I take it out, thats what I was going for. Actually got irritated the other day and pulled the motor, in is going a different 4v with a little turbo instead that eaton. The orange car wasnt 100%, the shop had it out at mustang week just to release it. Turbo was huge and one of the cleanest race cars I have seen. If it wasnt painted, it was carbon fiber, etc and attention was payed down to each and every bolt. Someone standing beside us said 106mm but Im not positive if that was true or not

Love it, if I found a decent priced comp. orange 2v car I would get rid of my green one

How much do complete 4v mustang eaton swaps sell for?
BDHG940 replied to BDHG940's topic in Passing Lane
svtp booted my ip and doesnt let me post, irritating but I understand. I have cavins username though to use at the shop when its not letting me post. Every now and then it will let me get on there from my house. Thanks for those links, might try and list it up there later from the shop under his name -
I have a set of bare experimental gt40x heads. To my understanding there are only a few sets, not sure how much you were planning on spending but I would consider selling
-
I used one of the new universal valves on my car that my dad makes. I can get you hooked up on one of those or I have the stock valve from my fox
-
shits all slow, you all dont want me to bring my cars out....Oh yea I dont have anything that runs, almost forgot..... Hopefully Ill have the cobra together here shortly and come stir it up, looks fun. Dover sounds like the cobra was about ready, I gotta take a ride in that thing when you get it back
-
dislike, that is very rude to do that to your mustang. Major mistake, the owner of the car must of bumped his head before ordering the motor

How much do complete 4v mustang eaton swaps sell for?

I just dont have the blower itself so you think maybe $300 off that price then? I have it all there, basically just pulled it all directly off and just bolted my 99 stuff on there -
I have everything to swap a 4v car, no blower as I have that sale pending. I know of other ported blowers or a stock one to include. Im just trying to find out if anyone has bought or looked at what they normally go for. Dont even know what to ask for it

how quick was the winner from the last event in the true street class?
-
I dont know, I rode in switzers that was 630wheel I believe and one of the white quick evos from up north. They were both fun but I would still rather have a similar hp turbo TA. I guess its all what you like and what your looking for
-
Not yet, I still have them here sitting though. I just used one of my 5 lug kits on the car for the mean time, I think I might end up just doing a lighter drag brake setup on the black car eventually

is the turbo flange warpped at all? If the flange is flat, should just be able to run a thin bead of copper high temp and no gasket. I normally run the metal ones my turbos come with but my 2v daily has never had one.
