  1. Dan, thanks again on the manifolds
  2. Yea I read about that some time ago, it was a mess for them.
  3. how much power would the stock rebuilt auto handle?
  4. Dude didnt waste time, just bought the turbos from me within the month I believe. No dyno numbers went 1.4 60' and 6.05 in the 1/8 first time out
  5. Thanks I actually talked with Bob which I believe is the owner of aps maybe a year ago. He did say he was going to stop making the manifolds but had no intention on selling the tooling he had setup overseas. I figured if he was giving up, I would try to put a twist on it and do something with them. Told me he would rather throw it all away than sell it, lol. I understand it might be a hard market but I have customers asking. Here is a customer that used a pair of our new 76mm turbos on a custom built rear mount setup. I have helped on other custom builds and figure why not build the whole system instead of just selling parts to them? http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj77/on3p/rearmountls1.jpg http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj77/on3p/rearmountls.jpg
  6. I appreciate it but with my contacts and knowing what Im up against, I will not have any trouble. I have been able to do pretty well with each of our Mustang systems and there is no reason I cannot come into the ls market with a kit to do the same. Im not going for the cheapest kit out there but I have a feeling we might be. I just know I can make a system to compete with what I have seen and keep the price within reason. Only one way to find out and that is to try it. Might learn the hard way but I guess thats the risk you take when your a business owner
  7. Yep I sure would want both, pm me a price you were looking to get out of them Thanks
  8. anyone have a set laying around?
  9. wow they make some nice shit, expensive but nice
  10. I guess its going to come down to me finding a car and just throwing together a design. I think after talking with linn, I will do most likely two systems. One being the truck manifolds as it will be the easiest and cheapest kit we can product that will work good. Downfall you lose the a/c and I really personally dont like that and wouldnt want it. I know people out there dont care about that so Ill produce it two ways. Hell I can mock that setup in a few days its so simple. I think then Ill do a tubular setup that will be forward facing and from what I can tell that should allow me to keep the a/c. Basing this all of just research online here. This will cost more but I know Ill come in with a kit that is easy on the wallet and have some potential for some pretty decent hp numbers
  11. Ill check that out then to see how its routed, do they still allow you to use the stock kmember?
  12. So aps is the one ones that are doing a kit that keeps ac? Are a lot of the guys opposed to doing a kmember to allow for more room like we do on the mod motor kits? I can have manifolds cast but really wanted to stay away from doing something like that for now. The nice part about the truck manifolds would be that I know who makes them. I wouldnt have to find them used Looks like that last link you posted linn, the guy ended up back with truck manifolds in the end. The only down fall is going to be having to lose the a/c? Call me later if you get a minute
  13. So they are taking the truck manifolds and then flip them forward, left and right? Any specific years I should start looking for? Is it possible to use the stock kmember and keep the accessories yet have room to route the downpipe without going under it?
  14. I dont have a car here yet to lay out a design yet but it will be soon. Just have to find a good enough deal on a car and Ill get started. Hopefully someone can give me a few pointer so we can get started off in the right direction My main question is what routing is the most popular or what would you want to see? I know there are some kits using a 6l truck manifold I believe, I see the ebay hotside that routes out the back and around the driverside, etc. Does anyone have photos of how the radiator is moved? I havent seen anything clear and I know people have mentioned that will be essential on the f-body application. Will the same kit be a bolt on application on the Firebird/Trans-am if we are mocking up on a Camaro?
  15. Like the car, love reading about how people are more worried about the price/where you live than the car. As long as you can afford it, that shouldnt matter. Nothin better than driving a $40+k car and pulling into the garage at mom and dads house....lol Shit, if I live at home in a few years I might be parking a 360 or a 430 here. Who needs a house when you can live in a car Car looks good, stop by the shop tomorrow daytime. I want to see it in the light
  16. prefer something maybe with less than 100k, auto or manual, dont care about title if its salvage rebuilt as long as the car is running and fixed right. Let me know if there is anything out there fairly cheap
  17. did that pull the pinion bolt out?
  18. my cummins gets 18-22 mpg
  19. Always wonder how much of a beating that drive would be.
  20. decided to take some 80 grit to it since I got all the great tips. Looks perfect now, thanks cr!
