its sat for about a year and a half and the guy told me to come over its just a 7 hour drive to look before I buy. Said he would take it back even if I bought it and something came back completely screwed up if I just paid the shipping which its going on my account anyhow. I just dont want to make a bad decision and trying to stay away from the 35-3900 shortblocks when I know the 03/04 shortblocks can take what I am looking to do
-
Ill make a call and see what he says about that, thanks
-
Yea there are some changes but hell, I would run it like you have unless you wanted to change it or had an issue. mild headers and crossover 46mm wastegate 50mm bov bar and plate intercooler vs. your tube and fin(I have t&f on both of my cars) all black silicone now I think that is about it
-
anyone?

lol unless you are going bigger than 302ci, it does effect it quite a bit with the .96 exhaust housing. I think my customer with the 306 dart setup that went nines was saying around 39-4000. I have a new turbo as well, its a 78mm and been getting some pretty good results on a 331 and a 347 93 cobra. Pm me what you are doing exactly and and we can go over some things. I just have never ran the 76mm on a 302 motor so I really just rely on second hand info from customers

I am not an engine builder and the guy selling this has a good reputation online. He has had the motor sitting for around 1.5 years just as a backup and needs a tranny. Listed it up online and wants a very fair price, 28k mile 03 block that did have a few bolt ons and still just the eaton on top. He was telling me there were just a few scratches in this cylinder #4 and everything still has cross hatching in the cylinders. Is this something I should worry about or let me know. I just want to make sure Im not about to make a bad decision http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj77/on3p/cylinder.jpg

maybe sometime down the road but I got my hands full right now. Just finished up the s197 car, about to start the 94-5 production setup mockup, and after that we are going to try and venture into a new market outside the strictly mustang I have targeted.... :-) In between all that I have 2 cars of my own that have to be done and ready to tear it up by end of Feb. Dont ask, I just need a deadline or I will procratinate and never finish either

Hopefully we run into Lethal again here next week at Sema and try to work out some details. They use Fore precision and private label it and I have been talking with the chick that runs it as well, either way Ill end up with a fuel system

MMR just made me an offer because I was going to help them a little with promotions for them. I was going to talk to Livernois tomorrow just to see what they have to say Who would you be dealing with on an engine build?
-
I was watching the video clip and you can see it was going at or right before the 1000' and still went 12.2 @116.95. I let out just for a moment when it was spinning into 2nd and it was a horrible 2.1 60'. We would have seen some 11's for sure, guess I just have to wait till next year to make some passes in that car. My 2v has taken such a beating, I might be the first one to swap a 4v cobra to a 2v lol I guess those motors like boost a lot better or else I have been extremely lucky with it not blowing
-
I mean I knew it would be a matter of time at that power level but I just didnt think 1 pull. Ill talk to Livernois and MMR tomorrow, see who whats the business more and try to make something happen to get things moving forward. That setup has had 12-13k miles of boost with the Novi2k so its not like it was just a 27k mile motor that hasnt been stressed already. I have been stuck in the 12's for long enough, I think Im just going to skip the 11's and keep moving on with the new setup lol
-
Well it would be that time, I can touch the crank and left the track with pieces of piston and chunks of the block. First pass too so it was a bummer Im just going to do a forged shortblock and hope the heads are alright. One spark plug has the gap closed and all were just soaked in oil. Going to make some calls tomorrow and see what I can come up with. Guess we will find out now what the car will make with 15-18psi and a race gas tune in its future. Shit happens
-
Kaboom, it was an expensive pass :-) I walked off the track and had large chunks of aluminum in my pocket as well as piston fragments Felt fast as hell, it will only be faster next time out.
-
I got it Brian, thanks anyways. Mike, pm me details on what you guys did if you had any time to play with the car. Drop by and grab that yellow spring to get it up to 7psi or just leave it out back when you are in Mexico. Ill throw the spring in it for you and see what we can do on that passenger side manifold 5psi pull http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj77/on3p/3vmikegraph5psi-1.jpg

Back to the topic and they all know its changed to mild steel. Doesnt look so shiny to me, they need to give that stainless BS up. I went to mild steel to make them all satisfied and they continue to just try to bring up the negative because I have done everything people have asked for. They ran out of things to get at me about so now we are back to things that have been changed like 4 months or more ago..... http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj77/on3p/50kitphotosnew1.jpg

Comment to blownshovel Dont you think that I would just pack up and leave if I thought I was in the wrong??? Ill dig the photos up tomorrow when I get back from the track if its good tomorrow I paid one of the welders from Prime Engineering to come to my house and design with myself from headers out and the complete intercooler setups. This has been posted on there countless times and they will not accept it with photos to back it up. As previously posted, I have never claimed I have designed the headers completely but I have used a header setup already available and in production to my personal advantage

I really would like to but the first cars I start to do pre 86 will be first generation Camaro's I will own a first generation Camaro, single turbo, promise that one. Well hopefully it will be Dave if I have anything to do with it

Kurt, leave a message with Mike or call me early in the week. I have dyno shops west coast to east coast with customer car results. We really need to catch up and talk this week, come out to the shop. Most customers keep in touch but don’t even post because everyone is always jumping all over people with On 3 results. Ask Brian at Dynotune Motorsports, he had done about every single one of my car and quite a few customer cars, WE would know if there were big issues. I have 4 customers coming out to SEMA with On 3 5.0 cars and (1) 4.6 car to check out and take some rides. Im pumped and its going to be a good time as usual. Can’t wait get out to some events next year with my 5.4 Notch and my company I’m building. Weather you like it or not, I’m going to do big things and not going anywhere no matter what comments are said. If you don’t like it, you better learn the name because I’m not going nowhere. LS1 guys, prepare on ls1tech, this is fuel for the fire. I will be doing the 94/95 5.0 kit over the next month with the Jesus of the LT1’s, Grant. This is the stuff that get the blood boiling and makes me want to only do more. I need an LS1 car Dec 26th Applications accepted Oct. 25………. Anthony, as we talked before, we will try to do your car if you are up for it. If not, Brian from Dyno Tune, contact me with your friend that I have been talking to out there and he is next in line. Let make things happen J

rob, you going to be at trail tomorrow? knuckles have scabs, I do my own work do honestly dont give a shit about anyone on that forum. Dont you think with all they have given me I would give up??? Beginning was welded tubing, there were issues. Now its seamless, I make changes and do thing for the better. Pay $5k to make the same power. If you are on a budget, come talk to me, we will get you over 500 wheel on less than any 5.0 kit on the market.....period
-
It is fully spooled at 3k on the dot so its pretty low. I dont really understand becuase the exact same turbo on my 4v was not making full boost till 4k. Same displacement, I just do not get it. Only difference is this car was 2.5" i/c piping and my car is 3". Great for this car, I would just like to get my car down there as well. My car is completely leak-free and know its not because of exhaust leaks. I really cannot remember but from what I recall, the hp was pulling all the way to redline. Ill scan and post it up here a little later when I get to my other computer
-
Put it on the dyno directly from finishing it up. We have one leak on the passenger side manifold to the turbo pipe. Car was making just at 5psi and putting down like 382/402 Overall I think its very good, just like anything it was the first time the car was up and going once the kit was on. So there will be a few little things to work though but all in all its very close. Need to get that one pipe attended to and throw the small yellow spring in that wastegate and will get that 425hp target, ~7psi will be my guess Thanks Brian Dyno Tune for the time and getting the tune in the car and ready for the streets.

I tried to click the link, like posted on page 1 on my post, Trent has my home ip blocked so I cannot log in to read. I have made it very clear, I found the headers already made when I was at SEMA from a manufacture already producing them. They didnt fit worth a shit and we changed the flange placement as it was hitting the inner fender. The crossover section was not perfect either. Me and Grant changed that up and modified the length, flex section, etc. Bet anything I have that my header/crossover section will not fit into another jig from another manufacture unless someone copied what we have done. This has all been rehashed maybe 5 times on that site. I have posted what I cover at least a dozen times. Its my word and if they dont want to accept it, then they need to quit asking. I have nonstop posted 1 year manufacture defect on the hotside and limited lifetime on the coldside parts. Its in the instructions that go with the kit and all that matters is my customers have the info and thats all I care about. Fuchaser, 10sec, bg, the canada dude and maybe 2-3 others are the ones that cause all the issues on there. Which its loyal customers to certain companies on there and dont want to see someone else bringing in the compettion. too bad
-
The thing is the first few stainless headers were not seamless tubing and I have had 2 replacement headers shipped out. I'm not trying to hide nothing, I have no reason to. I went to 2mm on the manifolds and mild steel to try eliminate any issues. I have quite a few customers on the mild kits daily driving and have been perfect the 2v setups have been excellent

03 heads I found out were milled to 40cc chambers so it looks like a no go I guess on that set since Im going low compression
