  1. Where are the BEFORE PICTURES, TIM?!?!? What do you use for a steam machine?
  2. https://columbus.craigslist.org/bar/d/biggest-eye-catcher-1-and/6208024766.html
  3. The CS002's? Those are 5x112... Thanks, Meeler. Not sure how RWD wheels would look in a FWD (+42 offset) situation. Do they already come with tires?
  4. I can't use any more 2-seaters with my famiry situation...4 seats or bust. No Corvettes, Miatas, MG's, etc until the kiddos can drive themselves.
  5. That's what I'd like to go for. I know even the lowly ES300 had some nice factory wheels (BBS for one) that I'll try to score for cheap. The search begins... https://fortmyers.craigslist.org/col/wto/d/lexus-sc-wheels-obo/6178857477.html
  6. Good call on repairing the factory wheels, gents. Will do so depending on the wear/age of the current tires. Just wanting to see if there is a non-CL used wheel/tire set that someone on the board has for sale. Thanks!
  7. I'm looking to pick up my accountant's 2000 Lexus ES300. He's had it since new, with 203k miles on it but full maintenance records. Only problem he states is that 2 of the wheels have become corroded enough that the tire beads don't seal properly (so he's been told. I won't actually do an inspection until next week.) Does anyone have silver/polished/white wheels 16" - 18" in diameter with an offset around +35? Only real requirements are that the bolt pattern is 5x114.3, and the wheels aren't black as the exterior of the Lexus is white. This will be kept in FL where it'll never see snow and only be driven 1k miles a year. Thanks!
  8. How's THAT for a thick asphalt driveway??? This thing is not easy to chisel through. Note the large rocks just below the braced column...the auger I rented was worthless because it would just hang on these boulders:lol: only way I know to do it is spud bar and leverage... Progress...it's slow, but it's something.
  9. Saw VonRottes new Sonoma GT. Saw a few CR guys (from this thread ) Met some cool younger guys with great rides. Nice conversations. Invited a few to CC&C and unfortunately a lot of people work on Saturday mornings All in all a good meet until dum-dums started doing burnouts at 11:30. I am also remembering a lot of trash left all over the parking lot, which is sad...
  10. Facebook is uncool. Forums are still where it's at: good dudes sharing together without a lot of noise.
  11. http://jalopnik.com/bollingers-200-mile-electric-truck-is-fantastically-rug-1797333580 I'm sure many of you will see this Defender-Hummer-Element mix and like it...but not at $60k Still, very cool to see this sort of a product possibly being introduced to the market.
  12. I think they were conveniently trying to make it a JAPANESE "tuner-car" competititon...so yes, the R and RS were excluded. Clever marketing...
  13. My FiL bought a Model S 90D a year ago and he and my MiL love it. They put $1k on reserve for a Model 3. I would definitely consider buying a Model 3 in a couple years, after they are rolled out and my CTS-V gets longer in the tooth (it's at 118k miles and growing ) Tesla really does make an awesome product. I'm very impressed with the engineering.
  14. http://www.roadandtrack.com/car-culture/a10297809/clash-of-clans-2017-type-r-vs-2018-370z-vs-2018-sti/ ...and the FWD Civic wins?!? I gotta drive this thing.
  15. They should've made the Challenger in a convertible. Thanks for the share!
  16. Very sad. Agreed though...that's a lot of inertia on some demanding joints!
  17. So....Foxconn has been looking at opening a North American manufacturing and distribution center in the U.S. Ohio was on that list... http://www.cincinnati.com/story/money/2017/07/22/ohio-mix-big-foxconn-display-panel-factory/502075001/ https://www.bizjournals.com/columbus/news/2017/07/20/foxconn-officials-might-have-been-in-columbus-this.html Guess what Trump was bragging about to the WSJ? How he got them to move to Wisconsin! https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-07-26/trump-to-announce-apple-supplier-foxconn-opening-wisconsin-plant I remember a time when this level of jockeying was kept quiet behind closed doors.
  18. I have 5 cars and I struggle with not using them on a regular basis. If any of them reliably appreciated in value, I'd sell in an instant. Agreed: if you have the money to buy and sit on nice cars, good for you. I do get a lot of satisfaction owning cars that I really love. I know the feeling of lusting after a car - it's a passion, so if you have the money to grab something just to own it, I can understand the feeling.
  19. I'm likely going with the 12" auger. I'll just at least get a 12"x36" hole and then wallow out the hole until I get an 18" diameter. I don't mind the digging, but breaking my way through rock and clay for 36" depth is too much to do 5 more times. I need to have a hole started out that I can widen. I called Absolute Steel and the guy I've been working with did confirm that they over-engineered the width but he also reminded me that I submitted their drawings for building permit approval....so I kinda f**ked myself into a corner and have to stick with it.
  20. I haven't met ONE active or ex-military servicemember that's taken a negative stance against trans-in-military aside from the understandable caveat that the person HAS TO BE ABLE TO DO THE JOB (be they woman, trans, gay, etc...) I really don't understand what Trump's taking a stand against this.
  21. It may, but my plan was eventually to rip up the asphalt and do either concrete or pavers at some point in the future. However, after this fucking job I have a newfound respect for this driveway. This base is ridic. Also, if you're looking at that huge crack in the middle of the carport, that's actually an extension off of the original driveway that the owner put in 15 or so years ago. You're looking at the transition mark.
  22. Shoulders...the top portion of my rotator cuffs are on fire.
  23. CHALLENGE ACCEPTED. 36" deep hole. Proud papa...tough to do a Captain Morgan pose when your legs are locked in a hole in the ground. ONLY 5 MORE TO GO... :dumb::no::dumb::no::fuuuu:
