  1. Great to hear from you, Ryan! Those are just bauce cars. As I get older, a top-of-the-line luxo barge seems like the way to go. Yes, there's no stick, but the powertrain leaves most of the stick-shift competition for dead anyway, all year round. Yes, they are expensive, but when you realize the performance package you get with a chip and solid wheels/tires, it can't be beat. Congratulations!
  2. We've got a murder of crows around my house (OSU area). They are a pain but don't do much damage aside from poop. Will be interesting to see what happens with flora/fauna around here this spring, with the winter as mild as it's been. Starlings/grackles are nasty, NASTY birds.
  3. Damn, Brad...very sorry to hear about the problems!
  4. The smoothed-out Cobra bumper and black-out filler panel looks sweet.
  5. Sorry that you and your family are going through with this. Easier said than done, but I agree...The longer you can spend time with him the better!
  6. Are you possibly going to lower the car? I've grown up looking at some nice pipes on FoxBody LX 5.0's, but the GTs used turndowns under the rear bumper valence...if you were going to drop the car at all, making more subtle exhaust tips may be a change.
  7. Looking forward to your feedback. I was looking at the SunJoe units on Amazon. I hear you guys, but I have 5 cars (including a pickup truck that does some hauling) so trying to do a little more with getting dirt off by paying is not ideal. Plus, I could use even a light-duty power washer for around-home stuff. That's my thinking, anyway. Even in the video Tim posted between the foam vs Optimum no-rinse, he still used a pressure washer to remove dirt!
  8. I'm in New Orleans, ran into someone from Columbus down here, and the question was raised.
  9. https://www.google.com/amp/nbc4i.com/2016/03/10/petition-aims-for-macho-man-randy-savage-statue-in-columbus/amp/?client=safari Where do we stand with this, Columbus?
  10. I've been watching vids about using a foam cannon on an electric power washer. Been checking out Harbor Freight and Amazon...anyone have a recommendation for a piece of equipment that works? http://pressurewasherpower.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/foam.jpg
  11. Rocky, I just spoke to Jeff and he seemed like a good guy indeed. He's going tomorrow or Saturday to take a look at the repairs. I told him I've got some work on my house as well if he does right by me on this job. Thank you for the referral!
  12. If Obama mentioned his admiration for Putin during his presidency...would the alt-right have condemned him as being a communist?
  13. PM me your email addy. It's still pending final approval, but the guy I'm speaking with seems positive. Yup. in the back to the right of the basketball hoop. The back edge will 9ft from the fence/property line (code is minimum 3ft), same as the asphalt driveway. Runoff from a metal roof is higher than an asphalt driveway, but it'll be comparable...not worried.
  14. Quick update... After reading about wind and snow-weight certification, plus the costs involved of designing, certifying, engineering and building, I've been leaning heavily towards Absolute Steel's single-level 18'x20' carport. It's cheap, provides plenty of sturdy coverage for two cars, and most of all the City Code office is willing to accept the design! I indicated via email that I would look at adding wooden horizontal slats like the picture above to make it more aesthetically pleasing, which they liked. All I had to do was send them an instruction/installation .pdf of the carport design from Absolute Steel. So far, it's been relatively easy. I'm glad my cheapness isn't getting the best of me. If I did something for several hundred bucks on my own that ended up breaking in a storm, I'd be in a lot of shit and I'd hate to piss off the neighbors. Something simple that the engineers approve is definitely the way to go.
  15. I will agree with Kerry... I've been emailing the City of UA regarding putting up a carport. Even something 18'x20' to cover two cars in my driveway (which wraps around the back of my house so it's not very visible from the street) HAS to be approved, with a building permit, which initially I felt was kind of crazy...with a touch of "mah rights R being infringed!!1!1". But as I thought about it - especially when I was emailing a couple of companies that sell pre-engineered steel carports - I realized that there are wind- and snow-weight certifications that good carports need to be engineered. Plus, anything over 400sqft has to pass "neighborhood uniformity design" guidelines through City code. I wouldn't want someone elses' shittily-constructed lean-to blowing apart in a summer storm and causing damage to my house, property, or family. It's a good thing to have some city engineers checking all this garbage out. A lot of regulations ARE there because someone was harmed or killed in the past. In certain situations, I'm definitely realizing the benefit of government oversight.
  16. The house was painted in 2000-ish just before we bought it in 2002. I'm just looking for something cheap for the fascia/soffit. Put some super-thick whale-cum paint on it and call it a day.

  18. One of my rental properties has some rot on the soffits of the detached garage. Please see notes below from my property manager. I welcome feedback if someone is interested in the job! "The tenant let me know that the garage trim/fascia/soffit needs repaired. I had a maintenance man go out to get a better idea of what needs done and also take measurements for the front stoop railing. I have attached pictures of the garage that the tenant emailed to me. Here is what needs done- all new fascia and soffit replaced on the front of the garage (rotted and damged), one side of the garage needs new fascia (so gutter will need removed and then reinstalled), all trim needs painted. His estimate is $700-$1,000. Unfortunately I don’t have anyone else to do this kind of work. If there’s someone that you’d like to contact we certainly don’t mind. Please let me know if you approve this work." Please comment or PM me if you're interested or know someone else who would be good! The gutter is a straight run down the side...shouldn't be complicated. Thanks!
  19. Wow. Will be funny when the door panels start falling apart in a few years from age. $132k E36 LOL...and I own one!
  20. it's a 260hp/330lbft if my memory is right...
  21. I'm assuming if this is a sales success, a Durango Hellcat is not too far behind?
  22. Is Mom driving the SRT and your dad drives the Porsche? Once kids GTFO I'll get my wife whatever fun SUV or whatever she wants.
