  1. Nick, PM me your cell and addy and I'll reach out to you. I've got some Christmas trees/yard waste to drop off, but I'll haul it away for you.
  2. How tough would it be to connect some sort of standalone engine/trans management system on it? I know a guy with a solid '85 Fiero that he's looking to do an engine swap into...
  3. Monday was a holiday...shit, I was in DC with my older brother and we were able to drive around capital/govt buildings and there was hardly anyone else on the roads. Even my brother was remarking how deserted the roads were.
  4. Nope...but there was some other dude that had the same idea on Wednesday
  5. Holy shit...I'm pretty sure I was walking past you when you were taking those shots in Columbus Commons? I saw a guy taking nearly the same shot of the blue LEDs on that planter stand...
  6. Don't spend the time if you can't do the crime... SHOW 'EM.
  7. I've been on Sprint, which is OK from a range standpoint except for Rt. 22 between Cambridge and Cadiz where it's "Deliverance" dead. I mean nothing. Two times I've made that trip in the last month and it shocks me that I can drive nearly 50 miles without a cell signal. That aside, I'm with Benjamin where we have 4 lines and unlimited everything for around $180/mo. I just upgraded my iPhone 5s to a iPhone 7 for only $200 because I renewed for another year (was going to anyway), and our home computer took a dump so I've been doing a ton more on my phone - DL'd a 3gb movie through Google Drive - and I'm VERY thankful I have unlimited data on our plan. Agreed - no matter how it's measured, I would stay with a grandfathered plan with better bennies for as long as you can.
  8. I'll be happy to pick stuff up evenings. Just shoot me a text. I admit I use RA only because it's an easy, non-highway (if I'm overloaded ) spot next to Upper Arlington. Not sure if it's "the best" but to Sean's point I'm not driving all over Columbus to get $0.02/ton more for irony metal when I also know scrap price is in the sh!tter. Dump screen doors, parking lot light fixtures, old appliances for friends, get cash, buy liters of dunkelbier across the street at HB for free.
  9. Research Alloys, Goodale Ave across from Hofbrauhaus.
  10. I'm assuming a photo Buck I.D. is needed? I never went to OSU, but have a Buck I.D. with my name on it that gets me access through the security gate to a hangar at OSU Airport. If I can use it in combination with my D.L., that would be awesome.
  11. Shot dead in a Tampa parking lot, by a scammer that robbed you for $3k when you were trying to buy the Big Banana Car. The WORST horror movies didn't see that one happening.
  12. That's a nice house! Small, but again...for $200k a 1000sqft 2br/1ba is as good as you can expect to get in Clintonville...uhh, Columbus? Is that a toilet in the basement??? Time to build a man-cave with a half-bath!
  13. Is that the shaded yellow panel under the front bumper? http://articles.sun-sentinel.com/2013-03-06/news/sfl-banana-mobile-20130306_1_banana-republic-top-banana-big-banana-car http://www.trbimg.com/img-51374008/turbine/sfl-banana-mobile-20130306-001/400/400x249 BTW, I think this is a scam. Who would sell such a thing for $3k with hardly any info on build details or history?
  14. If you want a far more managable banana car, see below... http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=125659
  15. Those are 80's F-150 wheels...I'm guessing it's a '95 Ford chassis or '85, not an '05 as the bolt pattern is different. $1500 cash would be my offer...and while it's fun, I'm sure you can't drive anywhere far as I'm guessing it'll have cooling issues (if not other problems).
  16. You have a great widebody kit...yet you have that godawful Fed-impact rear bumper??? Agreed...interesting project if it didn't look like you're paying for the body kit mounted on a seriously disappointing ROTSUN[/roadkill] body.
  17. YAAAASSSSS...all the things above. Nice find, Kerry. Side note: I just discovered the "Stance is Everything"site this weekend when I found a pic of a dropped K-car
  18. I've warmed up to widebody kits since drifting became a lot more popular, and RWB/Rocket Bunny/etc added to the craze. Props to "Han" from TF&F movie chain for coming up with a couple of interesting projects. I gotta say that Maverick looks awesome and the uniqueness really ticks the boxes for me. For all the sh!t that '70s/80s American cars get from that era, it would be cool to see more modern Mustang/Camaro powertrains transplanted into older "light" RWD cars. I understand why we don't see as much, mainly because it's not as easy/economical to build up a '70s car with limited access to aftermarket parts - even more reason why a Ford Maverick widebody build is so unique. http://www.hotrod.com/articles/project-underdog-actor-sung-kang-group-students-built-1972-ford-maverick/ http://www.autoblog.com/photos/fugu-z-sung-kangs-fast-and-furious-datsun-240z/
  19. Cody, try for that '88 Brougham for $4500 and I'll help you install air-ride springs...
  20. I normally agree with Doc about older metal but RockAuto has definitely leveled the field considerably with sourcing old parts for older cars cheaply. The Lincoln is dirty cheap to tune up and runs reliably, aside from air ride issues which are my fault and can be fixed. Agreed that Non-working A/C be repaired - I had a shop in FL convert my '82 diesel Chevy from non-op to cold-blowing R-134 for $900...a lot of money, but made the truck truly daily-drivable with Florida heat while wearing a suit.
  21. Yes, land yachts are the way to go. If you want to truly enjoy an older '70s-'80s car as a DD, the A/C HAS TO WORK. I don't care if it's R-12, as it can be converted. However, when you're driving from Lancaster to Columbus in 82+ degrees - think about this...30+minute drive - you'll want to be fresh when you get to your destination. Ask that 1979 Olds guy in Cincinnati if the A/C works...
