  1. Thanks a TON for the responses so far, gents! I agree...I like the idea of the Propane tank-top because it's an efficient source of BTU's, and I have no problem going through a tank or two of propane @ $40 a pop this winter. Any concerns in an attached garage about burning propane and essentially having gases not being vented outside?
  2. I've been kicking around the option of heating my attached, 2-car garage cheaply, knowing that it doesn't get too cold...but would make working/washing cars a lot easier. I'm not expecting 80+ degrees, but if it was warm enough to dry water after I washed a salty car in Optimum No-Rinse, that would be huge. Let alone not having achy joints from working on cold metal and lying on an icy concrete floor! For reference: Propane Tank-Top: cheap, but 30k BTUs and not much propane used. http://www.harborfreight.com/30000-btu-tank-top-propane-heater-67856.html Natural Gas heater (wall/ceiling mount): great heat, permanent solution. Pricy unit and running natural gas line out to garage will be EXPENSIVE. Electric ceiling mount: not cheap, but permanent and simple garage heating solution. http://www.homedepot.com/p/NewAir-17-060-BTU-5000-Watt-Electric-Garage-Heater-G73/205588544#customer_reviews Parabolic heater: very cheap, but only localized heating. Get a couple? http://www.harborfreight.com/400900-watt-oscillating-parabolic-heater-62313.html Please vote and add your comments. Thank you!
  3. The "Boost Caboose" seems like a dumb...DUMB idea, on paper. But I have to admit... Finnegan and Freiburger delivered again. This is definitely not Stubby Bob or Nascarlo, but it's a quality episode and I'm glad it worked. I do like that Monza since they bought it in the countryside of Ohio..

  5. Tomorrow afternoon, two of us are getting cars together for a Christmas card photo shoot. We had a guy that was going to take some quick casual photographs, but his family is coming in town. Is there anyone available for literally half an hour early Saturday afternoon to take a few photos? It's just gonna be for a 4 x 6 Christmas card. Thank you
  6. That. Would. Be. Awesome. Love your Bird. I need Tim to do the Lincoln once it gets out of storage...
  7. Very interested to learn more about the cost and process of exposed aggregate for driveways... EDIT: nvm. Found an online payment calculator. http://www.homewyse.com/services/cost_to_install_exposed_aggregate_driveway.html

  9. I saw an article this week in Bloomberg that the government may be forgiving billions in college loans... https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-11-30/the-feds-have-no-idea-what-student-loan-forgiveness-will-really-cost-us
  10. #Concretelife Well done, Sam! Really nice thing to do.
  11. The first time Jezza makes a snarky comment about DriveTribe, that will be the beginning of the end.
  12. No, no...I'm just thinking of a situation where someone has a legally purchased firearm and is defending themselves in their home. Thanks for the comments, everyone!
  13. Are you going to replace the seats? I've seen Kerry in a Miata (top down)...I'd love to see him get into a Beat. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-rjWdqlvHzvg/UGszlchqUBI/AAAAAAAAAIA/RR6sZVhZKWo/s1600/FL045.jpg
  14. That snow map is a little ridic. So, the north end of Lake Powell (UT/AZ border) will likely see greater than 36" of snow in December, but Page, AZ will get nothing. Great forecast.
  15. Heard a story of a break-in this week nearby. Can't sleep, this one's got me thinking... If a person has their CCW, and owns a handgun that's NOT registered in their name, is there any legal issues to the homeowner/resident if the gun is used in a home break-in or self-defense scenario?
  16. Mitchell's downtown has totally fallen off from a service-standpoint in recent years. Went to two different luncheons with ~12 people within the past year and both times people remarked how bad the service was...and technically we weren't even paying out of our own pockets! Same with Cooper's Hawk...great food but the service timing is terrible. J.Liu is a solid pick!!!
  17. This is awesome! Really looking forward to seeing the progress on this thing. Can you breakdown what the parts cost you so far?
  18. Hyde Park on the Cap has a room with a fireplace where we just had an event. They sat around 30 of us at 5-top and 6-top round tables. Service was excellent. Hofbrauhaus is very accommodating as well. We're doing our March Madness event there. Mandy Morrow is the event coordinator. They've got rooms upstairs. 30 might be tight in Nada's secret room behind that wall...but it's a cool way to get your own space. Big table... Hudson 29 is still my favorite. Their private room might be tight for 30 people, doe...
  19. Nope. I've set the bar so low with most people that Trump is behaving close to - if not better than - I was already placing him. #MAGA
  20. XOXO - Gossip Girl Already unsubscribed from the annoying barrage of emails I'm getting from DriveTribe anyway. Paul Milligan needs the social media feed anyway to stay alive.
  21. Sorry, not sorry...as the kids say. Social media ain't my thing. I got the email on 11/21 and tried to register, but it kept wanting to use my personal FB sign-in instead of the CC&C FB login. Walked away and never completed registration. Thing is glitchy...couldn't use my phone to modify settings, or login using another FB registration...
