  2. I'm liking this guy... ...and not because of his old junk pictures. :masturboy: Did he seriously have a rat rod Sienna with whitewalls? Or is Rymer screwing with mah emotions?
  3. Welcome to the site! Any old pictures of your junk? The VAN comment intrigues me...
  4. He was one of my heroes. Sad news...I heard he was hospitalized this morning. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-12-08/urgent-former-astronaut-us-sen-john-glenn-of-ohio-has-died-at-95
  5. My neighbor has a huge snowblower and he keeps the key in the ignition :gabe:
  6. The first one is impressive....as long as it's not a bait-and-switch. The second one....c'mon, Kerry. WTF are you bringing an automatic into this discussion?
  7. Lol. Good luck trying to sell a 1978 Lincoln, or a couple convertibles at this point in the year. Plus, they are off insurance anyway. I'll be storing the CTS-V as well this winter. No, no...I like my mix of cars very much. Even the LeBaron grows on me. I'll be selling stuff in the spring, but it won't be to buy a $40k+ new car.
  8. I built one online. That seems like a lot of car for $46-48k. Too much money for me, but I really, really like the SS now.
  9. $250 for the Holden badges, $45 for wheel center caps??? A bit much but sounds reasonable considering it would probably be that much aftermarket. I'M A FAN.
  10. LOL. I got confused. More steak restaurant threads on a car forum than I'm used to seeing, apparently.
  11. I hit up Kenny Brightman - who sounds like one of the head organizers for Dayton C&C - through FB a couple weeks back and we spoke. Sounds like a nice guy and I'm looking forward to doing some cruises in 2017!
  12. Ryan, that's a great idea. I'd like to get a few guys from CR that we can trust to go out there and give it a run. I've also been trying to spot other areas instead of 555 and Hocking hills for cruise ideas after CC&C next year.
  13. Kerry, Elevator is awesome. If it makes you feel better I think they just did an interior refresh. I had some Three Frogs IPA just last night, as a matter of fact. Problem for OP is that I'm not sure how comfy it would be for 30 people, though I've never been upstairs. I would think of Elevator if your party is 6 or less and close friends...great happy hour joint too as their calamari is very good. The Rock Filet is filet mignon raw served to you on a 700+ degree stone. All you do is cut the bite of beef and work it on your plate until it's cooked to your liking...smaller pieces cook faster. If you like steak medium rare or colder, it's a neat experience. You're spending so much time talking to your table guests and sizzling bites of steak in front of you - instead of eating - that 4oz goes a long way.
  14. I think the idea of an "orange blast" car the size of an SS with a 6 speed sounds like an awesome DD. Can that car be had new for less than a used ATS-V? http://www.thatcarlady.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/Depositphotos_37541289_s.jpg YAAAASSSSSSSSS...are you kidding me that this is a color choice? 10/10. That thing will shine like the Sun outdoors after a good polish. Do yourself a favor and budget for Holden badges, too...take advantage of the car's history and ditch dem cheap-arse Malibu-looking Chevy bow-ties. I'd buy that myself, but I'm a spendthrift and I already have a big, gold-metallic boat to drive around. I HATE the idea of a new car, but if a $50k GM RWD car was a serious contender for your money, this SS purchase is the course of action I recommend instead of a used ATS-V.
  15. I'm liking this idea... The SS is a damn fine chassis for a DD.
  16. I've got drywall and insulation all around. Ranch-style house so garage ceiling shares insulated roof space with the main house. It's cool in the winter with the old-but-insulated 2-car-sized garage door opening.
  17. Well done on the wagon!
  18. I am definitely interested in an ATS-V coupe in the future, but for the same reasons why I love my CTS-V: 1) Still a stick-shift car in a segment falling away from that as an offering (Lexus, Infiniti, Audi, etc...) 2) Solid, strong performance chassis in acceleration and handling. 2) Cadillac represents a respectable racing heritage, and a premium American brand. 3) Reliable platform, with a broad parts-bin for relative ease of maintenance. 4) ***VALUE*** - - - - - - - - - - - - - (if you can buy all the above for under $30k) I throw that last one in because F**KING LOL AT A $56k CADDY/JAG/M-BENZ/ASTON-MARTIN/ETC THAT WILL LOSE 10-20% OF THEIR VALUE THRU DEPRECIATION ON A YEARLY BASIS. Why not wait 3-4 years and pick one up sub-$40k? Better yet, wait 7-10 years and get one for sub-$28k, and you can STILL finance it if needed...
  19. Allow me to be the first to say..... Auto LOL.
  20. I had business meetings on Friday that ended my day with a drove from E. Liverpool back to Columbus via Rt. 7 and Rt. 22. I haven't driven that before but it was a very fun, 55MPH 2-lane road with nice stretches that crested ridges and flowed with the countryside. Appx 50 miles of great country highway . A few villages where you had to slow down, but you never stop. I'm thinking it could be a good cruise route next year. Any drivers/riders familiar with this stretch of road?
  21. Thanks, Mike. What we were looking to do was pretty simple...ended up finding someone at the shoot location to take some snaps with my iPhone 7. Just glad they gave my phone back.
  22. I bought Buck531's old NG wall-mount heater a few years back...but I ain't running $800+ worth of gas line to make a garage heater work...Already scrapped it since I couldn't give it away. I do have 220v running to the garage to power my air-compressor and welder...may make a junction box and run a line up to the ceiling to add an electric, AND use a tank-top or torpedo propane heater for times when I really need it.
