Trump = Cleveland Browns. Somewhat of an underdog, despite his performance people still will back him to the death. Hillary = Apple. Yes, you know there's an ugly history to what she does and did to get here, but you're still in awe of the product and execution, expertly delivered.

Watching it on TiVo...bailed at 9:2xpm. Can't watch it anymore. I'll check in for highlights.

Doc, looking at the pictures and hearing this story makes me appreciate the experiences you've had. I do regret not having done a rally yet in my lifetime. I would definitely like to have my kids join me sometime. Thank you very much for taking the time to organize the photos and details. Glad you had such a good trip! Props to Figgy for doing so well considering the expectations put on it as a machine. Good to hear it was a comfy ride.

Before the actual debate, I feel that this election is Hillary's to lose. I hope it's not too much dirt-slinging, given the high-profile of tonight. I'm sure they will both be very civil to each other. :eyes:

Get on that, man!!! Stop borrowing mine. I bought my '85 C10 "Heavy-Half" off eBay for $1100 back around '03. It was east of Pittsburgh in primer with rust showing through. Drove it back and had a seized brake caliper, replaced it in a NAPA parking lot. Proceeded to drive it after that for a few years, even down to FL with our upright piano in the back. Great truck. That thing is in great shape for a "work" truck in Pittsburgh. That rear bumper needs to go. Rollpan that bish. Otherwise looks like a solid platform for a motorcycle hauler. You could just strap the CB750 to the bed and not have to store it anymore. "Needs rear springs" means it can be fixed with helper airbags. While you're at it, just bag the front, Load-E tires on the 16.5" rims and call it a day.

Be Kerry: want to have engaged political discussion on car forum during work hours, get all passive-aggressive when dialogue doesn't go his way.
-
Again, convenient for you to paint him with a color that suits YOUR argument. Earth to SJW Kerry: Lack of liberal-approved action against inequality does not mean people don't understand. You may want to consider his larger sphere of influence and be cognizant of his good actions there.

Is Joe's GTO red, with a stick and ridic-loud exhaust? Plate says "PONT GTO" or something like that?
-
Please, Tim...the argument Kerry builds against what you say only works if he paints you as sexist. Can't you fall in line like he wants you to? :gabe: Your argument that you don't like Hillary because of her personality and policies will only make Kerry type more.

I had a Gilette Mach 5, and I would change out the razors waaaaay too late because I was cheap. It worked, but then I didn't like having to always get shaving cream, started using Dove soap and the results deteriorated. I bought a Remington foil shaver with sideburn edge thingy for $35 and used it for a year until I *felt* like it wasn't working. Put it back in the linen closet. Went to 2-blade disposable razors for a buck or so for a 5-pack. Marc's had some good ones. Was happy. Read this thread over the weekend and pulled out the old Remington to recharge. Surprisingly after a year, it held a charge and did a great job shaving off a 4-day beard I grew since middle of last week. I may invest in a better electric shaver now.

As a minivan aficionado...something about Dajiban's in Japan just tickle my fancy. Dig the premium these guys put on American aftermarket parts, too.

That's what I meant about "Hope and Change": very effective campaign strategy for Obama, but given the state of race relations, pay equality for women, and the socioeconomic income gap, it's failed the country over the last 8 years. Dems are running out of nice, "kum-ba-ya" ideas to preach about that haven't already been unfulfilled in this country. At least Bernie and Elizabeth Warren preach knocking down the establishment and free everything for everyone...and even that's not garnering enough popularity.

^^^Gets it. You NEED a big conglomerate to come along and make sweeping changes in the industry to gain mainstream acceptance. I think SolarCity has as good of a chance as any company out there....

Don't put blinders on; you'll stub your toe on something! It's like a hoarder's TV show in that shop.

You cannot mandate social acceptance, and criminalizing violation of civil liberties will only radicalize the fringe. I think Hillary's inability to bring voters away from Trump shows her laughable abilities. She's not "of the people"...she needs to throw position and threats around to garner respect and remain above the law to get her way. There's no "Hope and Change" with Hill, and that's sad: that campaign slogan worked for Obama but died unproven as policy change in the last 8 years of his presidency. Maybe another stance will resonate with voters............. I love hearing people say how broken the system is...but Trump isn't the guy for them. I get that, but how long are you going to wait for the right candidate to come along and shake things up? If it's not Trump, why is it not Hillary or Gary Johnson? Or Bernie?

^^^Whaaaaaaat?

Here's my break-even: - Little or no OOP (out of pocket) for installation. - Competitive rates for electricity. - Passes UA building code. I realize there are other residential solar solutions, you dingbats. Just loving the package offered to other markets that SolarCity provides.

I think that "effective campaigning" is specifically why this thread was created. I would question how many millennials were pulled to Hillary's Dark Side from her performance on a Funny or Die ad. The world may never know. Not her first effort to pander, and it's still just as ineffective and unmemorable as it was from 21 years ago. http://www.npr.org/2016/09/23/495172227/watch-20-years-before-two-ferns-hillary-clinton-played-forrest-gump Kerry, if she is such a great candidate, and Donald Trump is so bad, why is it so neck-and-neck? You wanna take the low road and say 50% of America is a basket of deplorables? You know you want to. C'mon, it'll make you feel better saying that half of the polled public is stupid/misinformed/bad instead of agreeing that Hillary is actually just as unpalatable - maybe even moreso - than Trump.
-
PANDERING Congrats on the checklist...that's just want she wants you to think. You are right: I do strongly dislike Hillary.

Been following SolarCity/Tesla news, as it is impressive how cheap solar panels are becoming. I'm optimistic about the future, where solar roofs really could provide an alternative source of cheap electricity for our homes. https://www.solarcity.com/residential - I had to hit a few zip codes until I found my grandma's house in Long Island, NY is eligible. Hoping technology/cost/building codes will allow for this in the future here in Ohio!
