  1. +100. I think Zach Galafianakis was good. Obama was far more a man of the people...I liked his Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee episode with Jerry Seinfeld. The Clintons are too high-up to come down and do a show like this and not appear to be PANDERING.
  2. I went to NAPA on 161 for a BMW M4218B head rebuild. They did a 3-angle valve job, etc....I would imagine whatever shop they use could do port/polishing. At least worth a call. I've had Mike do work for my old junkers in the past, but man...you gotta wait on him.
  3. Man, that thing needs some SuperTrapp action. Love that bike.
  4. Sean (Crossle) took my BMW in when I had a skk-skk-skk-skk-skk scraping noise from one of my wheels after doing new brakes all around with Centric rotors and Stoptech pads. Turns out, one of the rear rotor hats/parking brake drums was so out of spec, he had to lathe it to get it back to tolerance. Noise/brake dragging went away. Agree with you, Rick. Sad that a lot of aftermarket brake rotors are all made in China, and the cheaper ones are those that likely fail tolerances.
  5. Coworker has a 2003 ES350...great cars, but she's having a rash of electrical issues now with only 120k-ish on the odo. Horn doesn't work and airbag light is on. She fears Takata recall. I say "clock spring", she says "kill it with fire".
  6. Cody, for a little more than the price of lathe work (my guess), you could almost get new rotors...checking on Rockauto...
  7. Maybe it's because I'm inside of 270, but we have HD rabbit ears in our living room behind the flatscreen and it picks up OSU games just fine.
  8. Guys, Samsonite is going to school and needs to finish the Supra at some point. I think we all need to pull back on his expectations a bit. Not that he can't get a nicer, higher-performance sports sedan or wagon...but that he SHOULDN'T. The Supra will be his fun car, going fast, making brapbrap noises and taking names. He needs a low-maintenance MPG-machine with room for a Hightower-sized dood. Sorry to be the dad at the top of the stairs, flipping on the lights when I hear you guys spanking it down in the basement. :gabe:

  10. I would think you don't need a colder spark-plug unless you're really pushing the performance of a relatively-stock N/A long block with radical mods (stroke/cam), or definitely nitrous/forced-induction.
  11. Subaru Forester XT, Legacy GT wagon.
  12. I've cut a coil spring or 4 in my day. Let me know if you need help gitting-R-dun as they say. http://media2.s-nbcnews.com/j/streams/2013/june/130617/6c7911377-tdy-130617-leo-toasts-1.nbcnews-ux-2880-1000.jpg
  13. LOL....I read that article last month or before and I knew it was you. Geez, guys...a TinMan race car is a solid, solid buy. GLWS, Matt!
  14. That's pretty awesome. Looking forward to updates!
  15. Reminds me of a banker buddy of mine: Dude is a straight-laced 38-yr old golfer, thinks I'm silly with my love of cars. However, the guy is nuts about Grand Marquis' (Grand Marqueeses? Marquis de Grandes?). He's on his 3rd, puts over 200k miles on them. He makes reference to his family being some Ford peeps, says he'll keep driving them as long as he can find them. TL;DR - even non-car guys/girls love and respect Dat Panther. FWIW, I think those wheels and a slight drop will perfect that car. Hope you enjoy many miles on it. Keep it fresh-n-clean and it'll always be appreciated.
  16. +1. Saw Samsonite's post and said the same thing. Know how I know you're OG? Sagar, congrats on getting SOMETHING to fix your Evo! I'm sad I tagged my CTS-V earlier this year, but have been very happy since I got it back from Kevin. :thumbup: If you're going to keep it for a long time, shouldn't be anything to worry about. $heeeeeeit...10-15 years from now you'll be lucky to find an Evo that wasn't tagged at some point in it's life!
  17. Long EZ-Jet with twin afterburners :leghump::leghump::leghump:
