  1. :gabe: Thanks for all the help, everyone! Going to order some parts this week. I've got a family trip this weekend but will try to begin on the engine teardown the weekend of 6/20...
  2. 2nd on the vacuum. I know it'll be gone but still... DAMMIT! Enjoying my summer evenings. I should be on the internet more often...:gabe:
  3. I like the black sail panel between the rear lights.
  4. Wes, Kerry and I went up in the V after 11pm...there were people there and people rolling through but the crowd was dead. I can at least confirm that Sonic is not "closed down".
  5. Caseymaro? I didn't know about the Heritage grille...definitely the best look for the front of those 'Maros...
  6. Humbling statistics. Timeline/clock at the end was cool. I saw this article on Gawker (didn't read it today)...thank you for putting it on CR!
  7. Was about to wash the V until it started storming ... might pass for tonight.
  8. Oh schnap...a convertible??? I APPROVE
  9. Just got a callback from Aaron at Tom Hatem...he said it would depend on what all needs to get done once they rip into the engine, but the number would be between $2500-$3000. Plus, with the current workload they would be booking the job into August. I will say I've been very impressed with Tom Hatem. Sean (Crossle) and Northend Wrench is still my go-to as I try to DIY as much as possible...but this shop has been very professional and their shop/cars/work looks to be very good. Still...:barf: on that price. Looks like I'm DEFINITELY doing the HG myself.
  10. Bring that bish out to CC&C:thumbup: I think my 6.0L CTS-V has a smaller exhaust system than that.
  11. I can see Casey walking up to the car with a perma-grin on his face... Good luck, mang!
  12. Well...talking to Gerg will make your work suffer regardless. :gabe: Looking forward to seeing it soon!
  13. I was going to mention A Touch Of Class on rt33/161 in Dublin, but they closed down due to the Bridge Corridor project.
  14. I nominate that we make Brian the Moderator of all LOL Threads going forward. Anyone that wants to submit funneh content has to be approved by him. I thank him for his service to this online community. <3
  15. They said nothing yet. Honestly wouldn't be surprised if no one responds; it seems like no one wants the jerb. I've already got an offer for $500. :fa:
  16. Sean specifically referenced Carquest on Silver Dr. and said that their machinist retired...
  17. Are they still open? I've got a BMW head gasket job that they can do... :gabe:
  18. So...Mike @ M&M redid the 300 inline-6 on Cleetus in 2012 and the jerb was good. I was discouraged by a couple other guys from going up there again, but I called Mike earlier and he answered immediately...$200 to pressure-test, clean and machine work, $60 for R&R of cams/valves/springs. That's a pretty good deal. If I go with M&M, I know I won't see my head from Mike until November... :gabe:
  19. I like this man's way of thinking. Car looks killer!
  20. I spoke with Sean (Crossle) last night and he was very helpful. Since my 1995 3-series is pre-VANOS and pre-OBDII, it should be simpler to work on. I'm going to repair the HG myself and farm out the head work (of course). Does anyone know Bob Proffit at Performance Research? It was recommended that I go there for the headwork. http://priracingengines.com/
  21. I'll trade you my non-running BMW convertible for your non-running Corvair convertible...
