  1. I knew it was coming, but I officially got the notice from Cadillac to have my CTS-V brought in to have the front brake lines replaced. If they are going through that, I wouldn't mind seeing what the options are for other items while it's under the knife (full brake fluid flush, maybe swap in SS brake lines). Anyone on here know a service writer or good tech guy at a Cadillac dealership? TIA.
  2. Car is really coming along nicely.

  4. I'd agree with Casey on this one. My in-laws have a timeshare at Orange Lake and our family has been going to Disney for years. You really want someone that knows the area, or you risk getting caught in tourist traps. If you've never taken the kids to Disney, set realistic expectations: number one McSteak is people plan for a week and plan park trips EVERY DAY; you and the kids will get exhausted. If you have 5-7 days' in Orlando, give yourself 1-2 days of no park plans just to relax. It's a sensory overload and you'll be doing a lot of walking. I would focus on EPCOT center and Disney World to start. Stop at Downtown Disney for dinner and ice cream one night. Also, try to make it out to Celebration for lunch or dinner if you're nearby. I've never done the Universal Studios but it seems like a lot of money for just a couple decent rides. Stick with Mickey...no one does family entertainment better.
  5. Front end reminds me too much of the Chrysler 200. That's not a good thing. http://static.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/images/Auto/custom/12620/2015_Chrysler_200_13.jpg http://i.imgur.com/5nRcQx0h.jpg
  6. Shaker Heights here. +1 on the above. I had to pass on 2nd row floor seat tickets this past week for work. Great to see the Cavs doing so well!
  7. Props to Steve for this one. I always roll my eyes when guys talk bravado about it's their money and they can do what they want with it and the wife can go f**k off....those are the guys that end up getting blindsided when the wife bonks their best friend and makes them pay alimony for the next 10+ years after a divorce. Idiots. I'm happily married and want to stay that way. If that means a bag of Idaho Russetts for my car fleet in both Ohio and FL, I'm grinning all the way to the bank (literally) as well as the beach. I didn't want to buy a boat just yet in FL, but wifey pushed it. Now, I'm glad we did...she's a smart woman and knows what I like. I bleed for my love/passion of cars, but as others have mentioned, I want/need dry powder for other things that are more important.
  8. How much $$$ is acceptable for this hobby? As little as possible to keep you happy.
  9. Nice pics as always, Wags!
  10. Huh...I'll admit I never noticed a professional driver like Loeb doing left-foot braking before...
  11. Man...if anyone had one of these things I've got a couple of cars and coffee ideas that would be perfect
  12. Ugh, I don't know why Brody the dog is so funneh...but he be.
  13. I asked the owner and he said they take all of that. The only things they didn't take are tires and anything with mercury. Anyone know where i can sell/dump a Michelin MXV4?
  14. FYI, I drove down to Research Alloys/Stargate Metals, just south and across the street from Grandview Yard. It's a tight, old-school yard, but the people were very nice to me and I got $25 for absolute crappy residential scrap, then easily drove downtown to my office. Couldn't have been easier. (I should mention looking at my OP that I still have some of the copper piping and gutters...will run that another time) Plus, they have some metal/treadplate/grating as well, so I'll be stopping by for metal to make an egress window cover at my house.
  15. Nice project! Thanks for pics. Welcome to the site!
  16. Have him put me down (Clay Lanctot) as an employee referral when he posts for the position.
  17. Honestly, he'll be able to flip it to some CL potatoe in the fall when the threat of snow comes. I'd definitely scale back on the parts-fest to keep any chance of a profit margin.

  20. Might want to get things figured out before smacking on coilovers... http://www.amazon.com/Volt-Rubberized-Electric-Heater-Defroster/dp/B006S4FR2S Good luck, mang. :fa:
  21. Stole my idea... I'd LLC each of my properties to include a car. If the .gov wants to get utility bills to prove households for purposes of determining what is a valid "household" for car ownership then I GIVE UP because we'd have way bigger problems than just this... 95% of "high-line leases" are through LLC/S-corps that are write-offs for the owners: Go to Panera, Golf outings, business trips, exclusive car meets at Franklin Park Conservatory :gabe: and get to write off the mileage. If you think OP's "1-car-household" rule would stick then it'd better come with a hell of a lot of U.S. Tax Code amendments. http://smallbusiness.chron.com/write-off-car-lease-llc-14009.html
