  1. Good luck with the search, Mike! FYI, Max (Xyster) moved to upstate NY. :fa:
  2. I liked their back-and-forth banter. Tanner: "You sweep the track? What, you don't like dirt?" Roy: "The dust gets into my eyes."
  3. Wow, Ben! Congrats! It's the biggest "compact" car I've ever sat in. Enjoy it for many miles to come!
  4. Awesome info...thank you! I'll look into Geocel...will get this done in the summer when the weather dries out a bit!
  5. If just the corners are leaking, could I effectively clean dirt, dry the areas where the corner is joined/riveted, and use caulk smoothed out with my finger to seal it up for a few more years? Old seamless gutters here...seems like a waste to replace the whole length just because the corner fails!
  6. Love those shots. If you fly over the Smoky Mountains early in the morning, it's eerie to see the cloud/fog cover as well. Beautiful scenery!
  7. Austin, I came out with the keeds and had a blast. Thanks to you and Skyline for putting this on! Impressive spread of cars shown, too...

    Hey Doc

    Props to Doc. Always.
  9. So I've heard! The party and fanfare was pretty good, but more than one person said how the Columbus Marathon's party is multiple times better. Looking forward to running that one as well! Congrats, man! Based on my 9-10minute/mile times, I was shooting for 2:15-2:30 having never ran a half before. I was told two things: 1) Embrace the pace. 2) Never trust a fart. Happy with my results.
  10. My wife has been running with her girlfriends for over a year, and after she did the half-marathon last fall I said I'd be happy to do it as well. Fast forward to now, and I really didn't run as much as I should have. I've been watching my diet, but never ran more than 7 miles. I'd blame the shitty winter for eating into my outdoor running, but a busy life is also a culprit. Basically , I was looking forward to just running and finishing without injuring or sharting myself. Running the race was nothing short of spiritual. I ran 2:14:14, never cramped or felt strained, and truly enjoyed the chance to see Columbus from a very unique perspective. The last mile was incredibly tough as I was hitting a wall, but the support from the crowd (or my unwillingness to embarrass myself in front of so many spectators!) kept me going. After finishing, I felt an incredibly strong sense of accomplishment, and had a great time at the after-party as well. Free champagne/beer/Jimmy Johns! Don't know if anyone else on the board ran the race, but I'm definitely looking forward to running again in the fall!
  11. Thanks for everything so far, Derek! Looking forward to hearing how you might help us down the road. Maybe a "Tire Day" at CC&C...have a few guys lined up for tires and you guys can do it right outside of Cup O' Joe.
  12. Not the same engine, but I have a CompCams RV-grind in my bored-and-milled 300 inline-6, and I run a ZDDP additive with my oil changes I bought on eBay. I just run a 10w30 on whatever I can get (name brand) cheaply.
  13. That's great, Jesse. Thanks for your comment because it's incredibly pertinent given his ACTUAL daily purchase.
  14. Is that your burnout in the second pic? :masturboy: Saturns rule, Miata's drool....jk Great pick up as well!

  16. I know it would be a "pipe"dream (pun intended), but I've thought about that very concept; for all the expense/destruction of ag loss/wildfires because of drought, you'd think there could be 2 or 3 major pipelines/canals that could bring some of the rainwater out west. Of course, the costs would be prohibitive, let alone the elevation changes from the Rocky Mountains. But, it's an interesting concept. Most of southern Florida has 60+ year old criss-crossing canals for not just irrigation, but flood mitigation/drainage as well. Considering the swampland that it used to be (moreso than it is now), this has been largely effective. It's sad that with all our technological advances, we can't better utilize the natural resources around us.
  17. My wife's not the happiest that I take my kids in Cleetus ('82 Ford F100 regular cab...kids sit on the bench seat next to me), but to this day, regardless of the weather or where we're going, ask them which vehicle out of the 4 I have that they want to take. Our Odyssey has a flippin' DVD player, and they'd rather ride in the tee-ruk...
  18. +1. Same here. Austin...any FB page or info I can share on CC&C? If it's on the first page of this thread, my bad; the image is blocked at work for me.
  19. I heard that area got 20" of rain in 24 hours. That's insane!
  20. How's the second day of this thread feeling?
  21. Better than that Lady Sovereign bullshit.
  22. Yeah...my UA neighbor overpaid but still had someone put two new springs on his 1960s door for $175. There's a LOTTA tension in those springs. I wouldn't mess with them.
  23. Go into water... Inflatable goes over you... CHOPCHOPCHOPCHOPCHOPCHOPCHOPCHOPCHOPCHOPCHOP
