  1. I'm in on this "action" My 140hp, RWD, convertible Civic :masturboy: Sub 18-second, first-time drag racer checking in...
  2. How late on Friday's do people stay at QS&L?
  3. I couldn't imagine, Tim. Very sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you and your family (the ones you still love!) in this tough time. RIP to your dad, yet happy 83rd to him.
  4. Awesome idea, Garrett! I look forward to getting the addy from you once you've got that all arranged. Looking forward to a great summer evening hangout!:megusta:
  5. I've been thinking about this thread...yes, the kart fire was a line in the sand. Has there been any comments about it on the "Sawmill Hangout" FB page? I'd be shocked if they didn't shut the place down after that. I know that there are some crappy kids there, but there are also some great cars and I don't walk out of there without meeting at least one good car/owner. I'll still try to make it out, unless someone suggests a better Fri/Sat hangout during warmer months. Funny thing was that Jones and I were specifically talking about how nice a good campfire is to hang around...just before the kart got TOASTYYYYY...
  6. Was that your black E55 on Saturday night in the parking lot?
  7. Hey, CR... Since the beginning of the year, I've been doing interview videos for Cars and Coffee, and the response I've been getting from people is huge: really great to hear and very encouraging to me. Unfortunately, over Easter lunch today my BiL informed me that he's selling the Sony camcorder I've been using. He's a solid guy and I love him for helping me by donating the camera for this long:), but it leaves me in a tough position... If anyone out there has a relatively easy-to-use digital videocamera that accepts a microphone that I could (ideally) BORROW for the next few months, I'd greatly appreciate it. I'd really like to not have to buy something unless I'm forced to. I'm looking for the best camera functionality first, as I use iMovie 10 to do the editing and publishing and that program is bananas for being able to correct my McSteaks; don't need a lot of crazy features. Post here, PM me, text me. Sex14. 5Se7en8.Dos6Ocho5 :thumb up:
  8. I actually liked the original set of alloys...¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  9. In my defense, it's maybe 10 minutes from my house. Easy drive for a visual/audio fix if I haven't anything else to do.
  10. I haven't watched Overhaulin' in 7 years... I would assume it's slightly rigged that the owner would be happy to get the car overhaul'd...
  11. It's all fun-n-games, until someone's buggy catches on fire
  12. I'll be out after 10pm...
  13. Welcome to the site!
  14. I love Chris Harris...this video is one of my favorites. His comments were great. Made me think about my appreciation of Cleetus as I drive it.
  15. NICE! Love the intro, Mike! Welcome to the site.
  16. "Chevy runs deep" Fucking <3 Roadkill.
  17. Reading John's post above makes me realize: Most would agree the GTR is the platform to decimate all, but I can't get over how vanilla the styling is. Considering how stunning some of the other Nissan/Infiniti models are (even the new Murano:lolguy:) I hope to see sexier styling in the next evolution of the GTR. I respect that the GTR evolved from the square-ish R-series Nissan Skylines back in the 80s/90s, so at least it remembers where it evolved from. I'm firmly in the manual transmission crowd, because I can go faster than all of you at 3,500 feet above the racetrack for a lot less. :gabe: For me, the budget choice would be a 556hp supercharged CTS-V with the six-speed and panoramic glass roof. Aftermarket has a good number in the $40k range. - If you want to win races, get a GTR - If money's not a concern, get a GTR or Gallardo and throw as much of your leftover budget to aftermarket mods. - If you want a fast car to enjoy, I'd get the 997TT - If you want to do the best you can on a "budget" (relatively speaking in this group), get an '09+ CTS-V. There's a $50k+ used market value difference in those three picks. (WAAAY more if you include the Gallardo)
  18. One exception: Anthony (Angry Bird) He had terrible issues with his 'Stang... Also love the color:thumbup: I used to be a fan of black, but as I mature(???) I appreciate a strong blue color more.
  19. Sounds like Porsche is managing the situation... http://www.autoblog.com/2014/04/18/nick-murray-problematic-porsche-911-viral-video/ I find it funny that the owner of a PDK car is posting on 6 Speed... :masturboy::gabe:
  20. Great to see some activity at the site...
  21. Bosch 72172WS F 00E 369 842-8DP http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/371032261631?lpid=82 Just bought these from AutohausAZ...realized AFTER they came that my 318i has the plastic cap filter housing. These will fit almost any non-M3 e36, provided you have the finned aluminum-cap filter housing like this: http://www.pelicanparts.com/bmw/techarticles/E36-Oil-Change/pic9.jpg I paid $11 a filter. By the time I ship 'em back I'm out most of the dough. Live and learn! $5 for both.
