  1. Seats on cars are like teeth on people. They show age. That odometer has been inoperative for a while.

The leather seats just age poorly if it’s not garaged and treated properly. Cloth/vinyl is a much better material for these vintage cars to have (look at MB TEX interiors on old Benzes).

The nose tells a better story of the car’s condition: great chrome/brightwork and clear, not-cracked parking lenses. I think the mileage is close enough to be legit.

Didn't some of these have a BMW diesel? I had a customer come by in one to order some basic maintenance parts for his. Said it got mid 30's MPGs.

You’re thinking of the Mark VII during the late ‘80s…Fox-body chassis and great MPG but even slower than normal.

  2. The Mark VI is the first Mark built on the Panther chassis, so it’s smaller and lighter. I haven’t seen them as desirable yet on the used market but it’s a little more reasonable to own and put in a garage.

Branded title makes it an over-glorified FBM find, IMO. Still a classic cruiser but I wouldn’t spend more than $5k. Thanks for the heads-up as I’ll see where this goes!

  3. After a lifetime of being told how expensive it is to get stuff - especially people - into space, great to see a creative way to get small objects into low-earth orbit. Some commercial applications and we're adding to space trash, I guess...but cool nonetheless

  4. Nice, I saw this complex the other day and wondered what they do with that massive place! Is it just apartments?

The lot out front was designed for floor-level retail, and the stretch on the north side is actually big enough for a Whole Foods or Kroger. The City folks realize coming out of COVID that it’s going to take years to fill in that space, if any.

Apartment dwellers get gated parking garage access in the back…no tenants need to use the front lot. Nice benefit for an apartment!

Fortunately for us, there is a bakery w/coffee moving into a 2k sq.ft retail space but even with that confirmed it won’t be opened until mid-2022. Will be nice to have breakfast options on-site again! Haven’t had anything like that since Cup O’ Joe shut down in late 2017.

  5. Good news! We have permission to use the parking lot in front of The City apartments, on the corner of Ackerman and Olentangy River Road. Right behind McDonald’s and Raising Canes.

We will still be doing events in 2022 with Byers, Lindsay, and other partners, but it will be great to have an every Saturday homebase we can use again.

  6. From what I saw C8 convertibles going for after owners took delivery…there will definitely be a market to make money on a used C8 Z06 until there’s a few thousand on the streets. Can’t go wrong.

Considering the performance you get for $150k, especially with the rare and even more exceedingly expensive competition, I would agree that it’s good money spent to order a C8 Z06.

Hold it or flip it, it’s a good buy.
