  2. Welcome! Seen the car, glad to have you on the site!
  3. Came in here to post Jalopnik article. :fa:
  4. +1. They resurfaced the dual-mass flywheel on my Passat for $25. He warned me they couldn't warranty the work, given it's a DMF...but that was over 70k miles ago :fuckyeah:
  5. I have nothing positive to add, except that I'm glad the driver got out unharmed.
  6. I'm lowering the F100's front end with some used Dream Beams, but they didn't come with the TRE spacers. Unlike the threaded sleeves between the inner and outer TREs, rather a 2-3" cast and threaded extension at the end itself. I don't know whether I need to get the longer sleeve, or the very specific spacers at the ends. Anyone that's dropped a truck or older car, I'd love some info. Thanks! EDIT: Called DJM Suspension in Gardena, CA...they said the older, kingpin-style axles needed a TRE spacer but the 80s and up trucks did not.
  7. Was thinking of that myself last night when I went to bed. I'm your huckleberry. Thanks for the offer...let me know when you're coming to C&C and I'll happily grab it from you. WRONG, ELI... The spindles are already removed from the I-beam...in this MY, the balljoints (upper and lower) are pressed into the spindle, not the arm. It's the PO with the pickle fork that damaged the balljoints in the first place!

  10. I have a pair of spindles for a 1995 Ford F150 that I'm putting on my '82 with the lowered I-beams I got. Does anyone have even a Harbor Freight (or better) press that I can swap out new balljoints and possibly inner bearings if necessary? Will pay the cheapest amt of $$$ or beer/pizza you require for the job. I'll be there, of course. Thanks, CR
  11. Automatic LOL? Mind if I find out what you paid for it? Max, try Fluid Film for the underside. You'll need a creeping rust inhibitor for upstate NY winters!
  12. GATDAMN! <--- Craftsman ball-bearing boxes :fa:
  13. It's Ohio...don't assume anything about the weather Plus, I'll repost this thread in January, when you'd kill for a clear evening to hang out.
  14. Great shots, Rocky! Jason, what'd the Shelby put down?
  15. 1 first, but 3 is a close second.
  16. Canadian towel vacuum-packed to look like......a hockey puck. YOU DON'T SAY?!?
  17. I see a maroon 928 back there for $2500.
  18. Honestly, that thing won't be any louder than a Cummins with st8 pipes and stacks through the bed. YOU'RE GOOD:thumbup:
