  1. Gaddamn that's a nice truck. Wish I held out for yours instead of my F100. It's all good. GLWS!
  2. This whole crowd looks suspicious. It's all doods in hurr... EXCEPT FOR THESE BISHES!!!
  3. WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH JONES???
  4. I'm lawlzing at the POO reference. MARRY THAT HUMOROUS WOMAN
  5. Can someone bribe you to win the competition? What's the value of the detail job? I'll give you $99: You speed past the cop on Reed Rd. In Upper Arlington. Do 50mph, speed zone is 35mph. Do eet this Friday around noon. My "guess" would then be 2/3/12 around 12:00pm. It will be for 15mph over the limit. I would then enjoy my $150 detailing job. :gabe: This is all hypothetical, of course: ColsRacing does not condone street racing or kettle corn.
  6. Keep movin' up... S2000 is worth the stretch in finances it takes to buy one.
  7. Don't let BC read the last few posts in this thread.
  8. Fixed it for ya! Curious what the mileage is... I need my Passat to last a few more years, then I'm hoping to get a newer supercharged CTS-V or a 1st-gen low-mileage '05-'07...
  9. I was googling a car and saw a link to my old friend bajabusta: purveyor of old and awesome commercials and car videos. Clicked on it and found out that Fox shut him down. http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=bajabusta&oq=bajabusta&aq=f&aqi=g7&aql=&gs_sm=e&gs_upl=1161l3331l0l3471l9l9l0l2l2l0l276l1047l0.4.2l6l0 I UNDERSTAND PROMOTING COPYRIGHTED VIDEOS ON YOUTUBE IS ILLEGAL...however, that still doesn't change the fact that I feel bad for the guy. Really enjoyed seeing old Motorweek episodes and car commercials.
  10. BURN ...and they probably get a stick-shift to boot...
  11. LOL. I need a "JAG" grille emblem for my F100. http://www.autoblog.com/2012/01/31/chinese-carmaker-blatantly-copies-ford-f-150/ I'd rock one for $8k http://smiliesftw.com/x/innoutrofl2.gif
  12. Wow. That was definitely cooler than the short version I saw before. Considering I work downtown and have driven that route many times, it's pretty cool to see how much has changed...and how much is still the same after 24 years. City Center LOL :gabe:
  13. Marc PM'd me...we tawked, no big whoop. He's got my back.

CRIKEY!!! http://wattsupwiththat.com/2012/01/30/bitter-cold-records-broken-in-alaska-all-time-coldest-record-nearly-broken-but-murphys-law-intervenes/:no: Looking through the article, I'm a big fan of the Vantage Pro2. Would make a cool Birfday gift! http://www.weathershop.com/davis_vantage_pro2.htm
  15. Alright, busy weekend... On Friday, I drove to Delaware to pick up both the engine and transmission, verified by both shops that they were complete. I busted into M&M unannounced, and found out that the cheaper than expected price was a result of the engine NOT being a "longblock"...just a reassembled shortblock. Not a huge deal, but I did stress to Mike that I didn't want to put the head back on and I made that clear. I did like the looks of everything! Was a little disappointed that the .030 hypereutectic pistons were still dished (thought they were going to be flattop) but I guess the compression will still bump up nicely with the milled head and decked block. Left it on Friday and Mike assured me that it would be sealed, painted, primed with break-in oil and palated...ready to go on Monday. Got a call from him today that it's DONE, painted Ford Blue, and ready for me to pick up. MD Transmission was waiting for me. What was a really, REALLY dirty transmission was now cleaned and ready to go. The gear oil was sludge, so Mark at MD had to take more time than expected to flush the transmission out with solution. Some wear on gear sliders for 1st and Reverse, understandable as those are not synchronized. New front and rear seals. The return spring for Reverse (that boinks the shifter to neutral once it's out of gear) was busted so a new one was installed. I bought brand new EFI headers/manifolds on eBay on Sunday night for $60. Look forward to getting those soon.
  16. PA has a left lane law, and I NEVER see it enforced. There are people riding that left lane, blocking my Passat every week I'm out there for business.
  17. Are these rates availble for refi? No down payment necessary? I ask because my LTV is less than 80% after doing a HASP refi last fall. Just curious as I could go from 20 to 15 years with only $100/month increase based on your rates.
  18. I'm surprised the Abarth 500 is an interesting pick...maybe future value like a Dodge Omni GLHS?
  19. I can't see the video at work, but is it a grainy VHS-tape-quality video? Think I've seen it before...
  20. If I may make a friendly suggestion...the engine you have now runs well... I wouldn't waste any money on a better engine until you fix the exterior. Talk to Kevin Clifford on the board here; he's treated myself and many others really well and does great work for the buck. Would be great to see a future classic like yours in straight order. My $0.02. From a guy that bought a fiberglass front bumper for his SUZUKI SAMURAI (only to wise up and return it back, eating the restocking fee) I would stay away from body kits like the plague...especially if you seriously want to get into AutoX.
  21. I miss my 1988.5 Suzuki Samurai JX. But, I hydrolocked the engine in college and couldn't afford to fix it. Plus, my wife had a Samurai when she was in high school too. Would be cool to have one again for both of us to enjoy... Really, I have fond memories of all the cars I've had...'85 Buick Century, '89 Civic hatchback, Maxima, Corvette, 3 trucks...no regrets. But, everything has a price.
  22. Iceman, I work for a bank and 2.875% is a sweet rate. Is that bought down through points? Do share what your best rates are for 15-20-30year, please!
  23. Sounds like a nice mild project. I like!
