  1. The roofing was $12-13k...exacerbated because they needed to replace 40 plywood sheets @$50/sheet because the 1960s roofing was delaminating and rotten. I'm also getting new 6" gutters and downspouts all around. That's the total cost of the project. They also added ridge- and hip-vents. Combined with re-tuckpointing and new chimney caps I did over the last couple of weeks, I am comfortable knowing I've got a 25+ year roof to have my family grow under. BELIEVE ME...if I could've gotten away with a SolarCity system, or a metal roof, I would've done it, but it would've been double+ the budget. SolarCity's website estimated my roof would've cost $91k to do! https://www.tesla.com/solarpanels?energy_redirect=true
  2. My split level has some valleys and a double-sloped front eave that changes the pitch of the roofline. A metal roof would've been impossible to warranty against water intrusion. It's a little tough to see at this angle, but as the lower roof comes down towards you, it kicks out and shallows its pitch to create a longer overhang, shading the front of the house from the western sun. That change in pitch killed my chance at straight steel panels without a cut, or significant changes to my trusses.
  3. Very cool! I just put $15k into an all-new roof this weekend...wanted to do solar but even with rebates it's thousands more than I could spend. With new shingles and 40 sheets of new plywood (!!!!) I'm hopeful to install panels a few years down the road!
  4. Just FYI...so far in 2018 we’re up another trillion plus in deficit... https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/2018/08/20/donald-trump-trillion-dollar-plus-deficits-fiscal-ruin-column/986236002/ https://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/terence-p-jeffrey/fy-2018-debt-1271158167127
  5. Yes, it's been posted before, but it is still a hell of a deal. https://www.motorauthority.com/news/1119028_the-deal-is-back-800-horsepower-ford-mustang-gt-for-39995 https://www.lebanonford.com/lfp-hellion/
  6. Typhoons with Corvette wheels ma-ma-ma-ma-ma-make me happy.
  7. I just read most of the comments in this thread for the last few days - I respect your perspective, Greg. Kavanaugh’s frat-boy antics being brought to light makes me wonder what SC candidates exist out there that are women...but fat fucking chance of that happening under a Trump presidency.
  8. -I couldn’t hear the exhaust when you flipped the switch. -It would be easier to hear the difference if there were before/after videos back-to-back. -the video is pretty much static angle of you talking. No offense, but where is ANYTHING of you working on the exhaust? -tough to hear with the cam mic...maybe look at getting a lavalier microphone? Love you, Austin...that’s why I’m being critical
  9. The dude likes beer. https://theconcourse.deadspin.com/brett-kavanaugh-really-really-likes-beer-1829375091
  10. https://www.ohio.com/akron/editorial/maureen-oconnor-look-closely-at-state-issue-1-its-a-disaster Chief Justice O'Connor brings up some good points against the ballot initiative. It is upsetting that our legislators can't come up with common-sense changes to drug laws or enforcement, that we need to come up with OH Constitutional amendments.
  11. Thanks for the heads-up! Looks super clean. I see the FB Marketplace ad for that Jeep for $5,800...where did you find it for $3,900 in that screen shot above? EDIT: I sent the link to her and she said she thought that sold the other day on eBay???
  12. I talked to him about his. He's on a short list if he wants to sell it...
  13. https://www.holley.com/blog/post/sts_turbo_joins_the_holley_family/ I remember looking at these rear-mounted turbo kits when I first bought my CTS-V...looks like the price has gone up and offerings aside from the C6 Corvette have fallen off. Interesting...
  14. Wife's friend is looking for a 2000/2001 Cherokee for her husband as a surprise in the next couple of months. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=128895&highlight=cherokee Anyone going to be around North Canton to look over a used Jeep? See if there are any red flags? No commitment, aside from looking over a $3000 Cherokee like you were going to buy it yourself. Thanks! https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/inventorylisting/viewDetailsFilterViewInventoryListing.action?sourceContext=untrackedExternal_false_0&newSearchFromOverviewPage=true&inventorySearchWidgetType=AUTO&entitySelectingHelper.selectedEntity=c2406&entitySelectingHelper.selectedEntity2=c2400&zip=44181&distance=100&searchChanged=true&modelChanged=false&filtersModified=true#listing=218109250
  15. Saw that on Jalopnik. The rear end is tragic. Can't believe someone commissioned that body work and someone paid to complete it. While I'm here... For the last 20-30 years as a car guy, I struggle with a $5k car turned into a $30k car...throw as much go-fast parts into a shopping cart as you can, and while you're at it throw some wheels on the shopping cart! Hell....just run the shopping cart since everything's already in it. Scary thing is in reality there's more than $30k in parts and work on that thing...that's the "discounted" sale price.
  16. Hoblick (88lx5oh) does some next-level wizard $heeit powdercoating but he hasn't been on here since June. He's out in Marysville, I forget his IG profile...something with pasta?
  17. Rick, I can judge. Just keep this thread updated with instructions or text me.
  18. Fox News...has an EXCLUSIVE interview...with Brett Kavanaugh....and a female journo is conducting the interview??? WHAT ARE THE CHANCES, AMIRITE?!? #optics

  20. Addiction is a general descriptor to a physical dependency or proclivity to an outside stimulus, whether it's an introduced chemical or psychological stimulant. DISEASE, bishes!
  21. LOL. The saltiness of their tears nourishes my soul.
