  1. That YouTube video was super weird-sounding.
  2. Thanks guys. I’m out for thanksgiving but will get around to tires soon. Will look at what new TPMS sensors cost. Mr Tire near my house has actually done a solid job for me as of recently.
  3. His radio ads play ALL THE TIME in SW Florida. I’m glad someone made this video.
  4. Dang...lotta negative attitudes around the NYC move... https://www.nytimes.com/2018/11/13/business/economy/amazon-hq2-va-long-island-city-incentives.html
  5. Well said. If my comments appear bitter, it's that my perception of a disruptor is to take something that's often overlooked, get in at a low level, drive new technology and efficiencies to dramatically improve business processes, and succeed where others didn't before. I realize that perception is a bit too romantic. Clearly, Amazon is large enough that it can extract maximum value from being close to global business/government hubs (NYC and VA).
  6. Kerry, most people would agree with you. I'm not saying we could've done it better than NYC or VA because none of us know the true needs of the company, beyond land and workers. Amazon is a special business case with intense demands from being a disruptor in many different industries. Quite frankly, I know about NYC from a business-ops standpoint, and everyone knows of the infrastructure issues: the demands being placed on the city to deliver on its promise to Amazon are going to be greater than anyone can predict. Already hearing grumbles that the City and State won't pass funding to sufficiently repair subways...yet they gave almost $400MM cash to the Amazon bid.
  7. I’m good. Only problem I’m dealing with is a guy in this thread who exhibits disturbing levels of emotional detachment. It’s YOU, by the way. In case that odd comment above goes over your head as well.
  8. my,flake, comment, still, stands. How's your 350Z? Your marriage? Remember, you posted on an online forum that your wife's a "c**t"...I'll never forget that gem. Stay Classy. Sounds like you'd flip more than a car if you could make a buck. Move full-time to AL, because following you is a disappointment. I know I'm not the only one that's told you that in your life.
  9. ^^^September, 2018 ^^^November, 2018 "crunching numbers" LOL. You're such a flake. Enjoy all that money in the middle of Nowhere, AL.
  10. Holy crapth! Our incentive package was more than NYC, VA and Nashville COMBINED?!? https://www.bizjournals.com/columbus/news/2018/11/13/maybe-it-wasnt-incentives-columbus-offered-amazon.html?ana=e_me_set1&s=newsletter&ed=2018-11-14&u=IGw%2BQupQDpXCE9vhBhveIg0ebf6f75&t=1542204246&j=85016011 I'm glad we didn't have to deliver on that promise. 1) We must REALLY suck, or 2) Amazon really, REALLY doesn't need the money, or 3) They were probably going to one of those cities anyway, and used some hype to gather pertinent demographic information from every major metropolitan area that submitted a package....for free. They are in the retail/tech/disruption business. :gabe: :gabe: Well done, AMZN.
  11. Lauren hasn't figured out that sarcasm doesn't work well via text. Even less so when your Boost Mobile flip-phone has another man's dried cum making the numbers stick.
  12. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1973-bmw-2002-36/ Didn't see the updates above...saw this link above and thought you'd appreciate the Malaga color. Apparently not. Nice score on the E30 M42 engine!
  13. Thanks, guys. If it's that cheap (if not free) I'm happy to keep the tech.
  14. I need to get 4 new tires for my 2007 CTS-V. It's been a while on the existing rubber, and one of the TPMS sensors stopped displaying PSI. Not sure if it's still sending a signal? I'm surprised that there's no alert icon. It's just showing " - - - " for that tire. Are TPMS sensors still pretty expensive? I've got a tire gauge and compressor...can I just override the system without triggering a dashboard warning light?
  15. https://www.cnbc.com/2018/11/13/amazon-announces-hq2-location.html https://www.bizjournals.com/nashville/news/2018/11/13/report-amazon-to-add-5-000-jobs-in-nashville.html HQ2 - New York City, Crystal City VA (outside DC) Distribution/Ops Center - Nashville, TN This was an interesting selection process to witness from a business standpoint being a Columbus native, and I wish Columbus could've gotten the distribution center over any HQ2 offices not knowing that was on the table. Good for Nashville. I cannot believe people are still adding to NYC...it's become such a sh!thole of a city to get around and maintain from an infrastructure and cost-of-living standpoint. I was at the Short North last night for dinner...it's amazing to see the development going on right now. For 9-11pm on a Monday night there were plenty of people out and about. I'm not sad we missed Amazon but the city will show even better in the next couple of years with all the downtown-area development, new flights to the west coast. Still exciting times ahead for Columbus!
  16. It's made in Asia, sent to Texas for sales/distribution....but no overseas shipping available. Sorry!

  19. I know every city says this in 2018 , but... We really are very lucky in Columbus to have so many amazing beer/dining options. We often Uber/drive from UA to Clintonville or Short North and there is no shortage of amazing places to eat and drink.
  20. Mike, good to hear they’re making it right by you. ...or at least fixing the problem they should’ve in the first place.
