http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=128877 So, conversation is warming up around this Jeep I've been looking at, and while I haven't bought it yet I'm already lining up parts/maintenance items. Wanted to start here to see if folks had any used parts! Looking especially for: - Wheels/Tires - Suspension for a 2.5L: springs, shackles, shocks, etc - Audio - upgraded speakers, sub box - Accessories like aux lights, light bars, aftermarket bumpers, etc...stuff that you've been holding onto all these years! EDIT: Jeep sold out from under me within the week.

Whew. That makes me feel so much better. I love you, Tim...but what you gain in defending Trump's actions is beyond me.

This. I am offended by the adultery, but apparently once you get to a certain level of power it seems commonplace. *shrug* #metoo I still would've voted for anyone but Hillary, doe... Agreed. Drudge Report publishes a lot of the hand-picked stories that the conservative media runs with, or vice versa. Shawn Hannity has admitted in interviews that he vets his messaging on his shows KNOWING that Trump is going to listen to whatever narrative Fox brings up for the day. You can almost tie a 100% coorelation between FoxNews content and a 24-hour response by DJT.

I didn't read the findings, but this is a hot take I can understand. Regardless, Kirk said it best: Go Bucks, move on.

2001 Silverado V6 - slow start, hesitation on highway?
zeitgeist57 replied to zeitgeist57's topic in Tech and Tips
Thank you, Scott. Kerry, will need you to stop back sometime when there's daylight. -
I am now using a graded scale for determining a used vehicle's value: To Calculate Used Car Value: Add $1000 for every running, driving, stopping and steering liter of displacement. No more than 6 Liters. Add $500 for working 4WD/AWD Add $500 for a stick shift Add $500 for below-average mileage given model year. Then, Subtract $250 for tires/brakes/suspension that need immediate repair to be a servicable vehicle ($250/each system where maintenance is required). Subtract $500 for visual rust. $1000 if it's perforated sheetmetal Subtract $500 for undercarriage/underhood rust. Subtract $250 for missing/broken interior cabin materials, including glass. Upholstery wear and tear exempt. Subtract $250 for missing paint, visually damaged clearcoat, mismatched panels. I'm guessing $4500 would be reasonable, not knowing the maintenance records...

That aside, great to see the company representing!

2001 Silverado V6 - slow start, hesitation on highway?

Props to Kerry for bringing over a HF fuel pressure gauge...seems to peg 50-55psi+ immediately. Any way to test for a Crank Position Sensor? -
Tinman knows his shit...sounds like new headers may unfortunately be the way to go.

Cohen didn't need to cooperate at first when Mueller raided his home, offices for evidence. They built their case, laid it out in front of Cohen...offered a plea deal which he took. Cohen's attorney on NPR this morning, saying more to come. Bottom line - Trump knowingly confirmed and influenced the election with those 2 affair payouts. The evidence has been brought to surface (confirmed through Don Jr) that they did meet with Russians as well. It is not looking good for the guy. I think the House and Senate are turning blue after the midterm elections. What a mess.

Steve, nothing yet. Been a fun but busy summer; mostly house stuff. Had the exterior painted over the last month and had to redo a screened porch, wood trim, etc...just resealed the driveway as well. I'll take this oppty to cover what I want to still do to the truck: - Front brakes - Calipers/Rotors (have parts) - Flexplate rattle - Drop it 2/4 (have parts) - Trim exhaust - I don't like the huge pipe over the rear axle...will make a dump ahead of the rear wheel, maybe swap in a Magnaflow muffler. - Rust repair on rockers - Bedliner on lower rockers, bed rails over the bedliner - Try to do something with the paint. - POLISH THE WHEELS - In the fall - look at getting some winter wheels/tires. Maybe used? I'm not into social media (new FB pages, etc), but at the same time I'm not registered on any GMT800 forums. I have been YouTubing fixes and mods, of which there are a billion vids for these trucks...not much for the V6. Or at least, no "free" mods worth doing to this thing. Googling usually pulls up pages on forums/websites that help give me answers to fixes and maintenance. Great truck. Aside from dings/scratches and little niggles it has been a really nice hauler, radio & A/C are great, and I really love the way the front end turned out with simple and cheap mods. Definitely excited to see it dropped!

Check that rear spring mount!

Appreciate the responses. I thought the jeep was pretty solid, but I only took a few pics to show the wife, figuring I'd get her blessing and then buy it...and the owner has been slow to respond. I'll go back and take a closer look.

OMG that would look amazing...

Thanks guys. This would be an around-town (suburb/downtown) cruiser and the price is right. Drove a friend’s 1986 CJ-7 around UA for a weekend and loved it with doors off. Kerry, I’d let you know if the owner returned my calls. She texted me this morning and nothing since then.

I’ve got a line on a ‘95 Wrangler for sale. Awaiting on a few questions from the owner but for the price I’ve got wifey-approval to buy it. Solid overall shape with 110k miles and hardly any tub/door rust. From a friend that recently got a TJ - and past research - I know that a lot of rust-belt YJs/TJs by 2018 have suffered some Swiss-cheesy damage to their frames, but there are also some kits to reweld the frame in spots. Anyone gone through this sort of rust repair on 90’s Wranglers? Not seeing any scary spots from the pics I took but I want to be prepared for the damage if it shows up, whether to run away or stick it out.

Uship coordinated shipping my CTS-V from Chico, CA to Ohio on one truck, took a week and it was $800 cash. Believe me, I try to save a buck but that site makes it too easy to get a good quote and someone to orchestrate the shipping for you. Great company.

What a Dick. Another interesting 270 history...Robert Weiler, as a civil engineer when he learned about the I-270 project back in the '60s, bought up as much land as he could around the parcels for the highway, developed them into commercial/industrial parcels....and now you know the rest of the story. http://www.rweiler.com/blog/northstar-buying-raw-land-for-sale/

Looks amazing!!! Car and Tim’s work.

"We have owned over 650 SSRs"... WTF? I don't understand this saying. You are a business that's bought/sold over 650 SSR's, or you are a collector that finds the need to fill your warehouses with SSR's? I like hamburgers but I'm pretty sure I've not eaten 650 of them in my life...let alone cars.

Does the white car have pics from accident history? Was it in the owner's care when it happened?

As a guy with a V that has two "accidents" under it's belt, I would wonder how cheap the accident-history guy will go...but only because I absolutely hate rust. On the plus side for the rusty car.....it's already lowered. Free mods you don't need to invest in.

If you catch a good deal - where someone may have paid money down, only driven a limited amount of miles relative to the lease deal, or struck a great lease price - you can both take over payments and release yourself from the same lease within a fervent group of SwapALease people. I don't know how much he's saving per se...but he's accessing some pretty specifically-spec'd out performance cars for a budgeted amount, under warranty, that allows him to get new cars every 1-2 years through a very popular online platform that makes this relatively easy.

I've got an appointment Friday with TireDiscounters on East Broad. Cody does a great job, and has no problem with lowered cars if that's an issue with your car as well.
