  1. Wake up 5AM, clean, respond to emails/IG/Facebook Day job 7AM-5PM everyday. Get home, make dinner, then PetrolBox stuff until about 8PM. Then relax with my son watching Netflix/Hulu/YouTube. Weekends are typically made of car shows/events/meets, packing PetrolBoxes, and house cleaning. Lately it seems my only relax time is 8PM-9:30ish.
  2. Shoot them an email, they can do anything you want them to. If you order, let them know PetrolBox sent you to them! haha

  4. See I love seeing modified cars on the street and always give a thumbs up. It really irks me that people have such an ego that they can't give a nod to other people who enjoy the hobby. I was driving on 270S a week or two ago in my AE86 and got off at Georgesville and a 240SX hatchback with wheels/exhaust passes me on the off ramp. I throw a thumbs up out the window and the guy just drives by not even glancing over. My exhaust is probably 140+db so it's hard to imagine the guy didn't hear or see me. Just annoys me.
  5. Dude. I've been really itching to make some sort of Fast and Furious car. I've been talking to Andrew lately that I want to get a '95ish Jetta and make it like Jesse's car. I totally get where you're going and I think it's awesome. I honestly think cars like this are slowly making a comeback and eventually they'll be looked at fondly at car shows.
  6. Meh. Owning a business, the payment processing fees SUCK. I would definitely give someone a better deal if they paid where I didn't have to eat processing fees. We have done it a few times with PetrolBox. If it's a reputable company, no problem.
  7. I still have a V10 that is comparable to the previous Iphones and still works perfectly. Never had an issue with LG phones and have used them since 2000.
  8. We plan on being a vendor 2018 at mid-ohio, we weren't able to make it this year as it was the same weekend as another show we were part of.
  9. I don't have a huge amount of experience with RX-7's, but I don't think it's peaked honestly. I feel the peak would be in the next 20 years or so. I mean even looking at this thread there are 5+ people who all want to own one eventually. Once the kids born from 1980-1995 are in their 40s and 50s, I feel that will be the peak. Those people who always dreamed of owning or restoring one will be able to afford it. Prices on Japanese cars from the 70s-80s have skyrocketed just in the last 14 years I've been into them. Back in 03 you could get an AE86 GTS Corolla for less than $1500. Now, a decent condition one is going for $6k+. Older Corolla's from the 70s are going for $15-20K now as well.
  10. Can you PM me your information? I have one of the guys at our Columbus office that wants to get in contact with you on sponsoring and supporting the show.
  11. Not in it, but my dad and a few friends were on the list. Forwarded the info to them.

I believe near the car show area is where they plan to have us set up.

Who is coming? Make sure to stop by the Petrolbox booth to say hi.
  14. No restrictions on selling at vendor booths? I can talk to Farkas and see if we are able to set up. I'm friends with one of the auto teachers at Tolle's, Brian Parks. I can also talk to the GM's at our dealerships and see if they are interested in doing something. Young techs are what we are always looking for. Unless you already have support from other dealers.
  15. I may have one in my buddies garage. I can check this weekend if you haven't already gotten one.
  16. Oh I know. I'm helping my son make a YT gaming channel and it's a big pain. haha Thanks for your suggestions, a lot we have contacted, but a few I haven't heard of before and I'll be looking into. There's a huge disparity in advertising prices from channel to channel.
  17. What are some of your guys favorite car related YouTube channels? We are on the lookout for YouTube channels to advertise with, but I'm running out of channels I actually know. Just looking for some ideas. Bonus points if you know someone with a car related YouTube channel that you can get me in touch with.
  18. No. That "7500 reach" means Facebook has shown your ad to 7500 people. The 120000 people is how many people fit your target audience that you set up in your ad, ie. 28-58 that live in Dublin, OH. Some people have become immune to social media ads and scroll by without noticing if they don't catch their eye. I do it all the time on reddit or google searches. As far as money well spent... hard to say. People scrolling through may remember your name when they have a problem with a car, maybe not. I'm not sure exactly how your quantity your results, we do in subscriptions purchased. I think the only way to quantify your results would be if the ad was a coupon that the customer had to show you when physically in your shop. The problem with coupon's, FB doesn't like text in their ads. lol
  19. Yeah. We were getting a website view last year at .06 per click and lately it's been .15-.19 per click. It sucks b/c our budget has went up and only marginally better results. It is what it is. Still a great value for us.
  20. Google analytics does a decent job at showing us where our website traffic is coming from. I'd say on a typical day 30-40%, some days as much as 65% of our traffic is from Facebook. We also get 10-15 page likes per day currently so that adds to our organic reach. I don't think Facebook ads are necessarily for only products. Also helps with brand recognition and creating a following. A good ad that's correctly targeted could yield results for repair shop, but it can be expensive to get the learning curve correct with Facebook ads. I've been learning as I go and still could probably get better results than we are getting currently. I've seen other companies similar to ours, different niches, get frustrated b/c they are dumping money into ads with no results. Luckily we haven't had that problem.
  21. Our business is in ecommerce, http://www.mypetrolbox.com, so the normal marketing venues work the best. Facebook ads are great for us and drive a lot of traffic to our website. I would think targeted ads for people in the Columbus area, would at least get your name out there. Instagram is great for interacting with our target market. I've tried small sample sizes with Reddit and Google ads and didn't really have the impact that I was looking for. If you need to get to the top of search pages, Google ads will definitely help you, but we are already at the top of pages for any google searches for our niche which helps. IMO, the best marketing out there is with YouTube influencers. I'm constantly working to try and find new and upcoming influencers. Some of the already established people can charge outrageous amounts. I don't know any locally unfortunately or I'd send them your way. We also love to get booths at car shows to interact with people and let people know about us first hand. That may work for you locally.
  22. I wanted to reply just to say, this is exactly what I did. I got everything out of my divorce that I wanted. Kept everything that was mine, basically have full custody, and didn't pay a dime of child support although making 3x more than her. I wouldn't ever engage in any type of argument. She can't pick up my son or is busy that weekend, no big deal I'll change my plans to take care of him. It's been 7 years and I could say that we are friends now. I'll text her funny things, and she does the same thing. She has my son every Wednesday and will take him Saturday nights if I make plans to do something without him. Him and I basically do everything together though, he's 10 now so we do a lot together.
