  1. I don't run the iso's in the front of my car it looks better that way, but it does affect ride quality
  2. takes two guys to do the fronts just pry the control arm down all the way untill it stops then set the spring in and jack the lower control arm back up while the other person keeps the spring straight untill it seats.... hth
  3. do you have straight boots or angle boots..... I use the autolite pros with the 90 degree angle boot and they clear ok on flowtech shorties the straight boot wires always seem to hit the sleeves should take care of it
  4. without seeing the car I'm going to guess that you have some sort of ignition problem check the cap+rotor and have the module checked out they shit out kind of easy on older fords
  5. your prolly fucked as the 2.0 is an interference engine it takes a special tool to line up the cams it looks like a flat metal bar and fits in the notch in the end of the cam I can print the whole deal out here for you if you want to come and pick it up so you can see what I'm talking about
  6. if you have the lines mapped out the way you want them the carquest on silver drive can probably make you what you want... there is also a custom hose and tube vendor in columbus but the name escapes me at the moment the other thing to do is convert to -an style hose you can buy all the fittings and lines from summit or jegs
  7. damn...... I just pulled the whole dash out of my car to fix a leaky heater core I would have just bypassed it if I would have seen this thread earlier
  8. put a towel on your head and move to the desert if you don't like it
  9. cant you just go to a place like carmax tell them what you want and have them find it for you.....
  10. we need a part time guy but our extreemly large and overly grumpy store manager won't let us have one your going to need more than your lunch hour to line your car up if you want it done right
  11. fuck being forced to wear seatbelts I'll take the ticket and fight it gladly anytime
  12. never hurts to try..... I think I'm going to get some kind of hood if I drop the motor down farther I have to adjust the tranny mounts and then the pinion angle +++ and I kinda want to drive my car some before I tear it down...... again
  13. triple a or a decent body shop should be able to get your door open so you can fix it
  14. the best way to fix it is to remove the head and replace it with a reman one if you don't have time to do that put grease on the tap the shavings will stick to the grease tap a little at a time wiping the old grease and shavings off while adding new grease then insert the proper thread size from the helicoil kit
  15. yeah the cobra hood is about the only one I've seen that I like at all, but for what I'd have in a hood with paint I could put a really nice front suspension under the car..... thanks everyone again for all the replies now I just have to decide what to do
  16. just make sure it comes with all the parts or you can have as much in it as buying the setup new
  17. found a place that sells a chro mo k-member with 1" drop mount pads think thats too much?
  18. the posi and the carrier are the same thing just make sure you get all the guts from the donor rear end and you'll be fine
  19. just pick up a stock one from the auto parts store and give me or derek a call....
  20. thanks for the link ron rob, hal ; I'm already running convertible mounts is there a spacer kit for the k-member or do I just make the spacers myself from 1/2 steel? or can I go with an aftermarket k-member with a lowered mounting point for the engine? a k-member and a hood are around the same price so I'm open to either option but would lean more towards anything that would let me keep my stock hood thanks everyone for all the replies
  21. I'm look for something with just a tiny little bit of rise to clear my intake manifold that now has to sit on a 1 inch spacer the stock hood will close but its off 1/4- 1/2 an inch links to websites pictures of your car anything will help I was hoping to avoid buying a hood but it has to happen the closer the hood looks to stock the happier I will be thanks....
