wow you guys are way out of control on the work bench ideas. a simple 2x4 frame mounted to the wall in the back with legs on the front with a top made out of 3/4 plywood sheathing is more than enough for what you want to do. hit me up sometime on a weekend I probably have enough scrap laying around to build a decent bench later

you can buy an LT1 with 70k or so miles for about the same price as a tpi. its really not alot of work. you just send out the manifold and have it drilled for a distributor and almost all the wiring plugs in (some of the connectors are different) the tpi computer can't tell the difference so it'll run and then I can get a chip burned for the Lt1's more agressive cam profile. this should be a fun low buck project with hopefully enough cash left to repaint the car(or put a bunch of nitrous on it:) ). I should have it on the road late winter or early spring

locktites a bitch the stage 8's shouldn't even need heat cycled if you install them properly with both locks. if your headers have really thin flanges theres not much you can do expansion and contraction will blow that gasket weather the bolts back out or not

theres already a built in turbo timer in every car it sits in the drivers seat and is sometimes called the driver or operator. seriously though why not just sit in the car for the extra 60 seconds or so. you really only need it after the cars been run hard for normal driving you can just shut it off.
