  2. My wife got free tickets to watch them from Huntington Park. It wasn't bad spot to watch them from, but yeah the fireworks were pretty crappy comparied to previous years. We parked at Nationwide, and ended up taking us 2 hours to get home. I still don't know what the hold up was but I saw about 8 cops running toward the exit and a few meat wagons heading to and from that area. Oh well, saw a nice looking chick pissing in the parking lot between a few cars.
  3. The V8 engines available in the GC's were all good engines and all of them used in Dodge trucks. The ZJ's (93-98) came with the optional 5.2 and in 98 the 5.9. WJ's (99-04) came with the 4.7 V8 option. But most GC's were sold with the 4.0L. Gas mileage can greatly very between the years and models with the 4.0L. My first Jeep was a 94 Cherokee and I got 26 mpg consistently with mainly driving highway miles. My next Jeep was a 93 ZJ with the 5.2L that I was barely able to squeeze 17 mpg, but that one had some issues. In my current 01 WJ, I get on average 22 mpg, and on long trips 26 mpg. And as far as the transfer case for the XJ, you have the true 4x4 one (231) and the part-time one (242). The 242 was an option that most people went with. If you plan on doing more off road, then get the 231. But if you want it for the "just in case" get one with the 242. Easiest way to tell which transfer case it has is to look at the selector in the Jeep. 2wd-4wd hi-N-4wd low is the 231. 2wd-part-time 4wd-4wd hi-N-4wd low is the 242. But of course transfer swaps are very common in the Jeep community so ask.
  4. Red, White & Boom at Huntington Park on Friday Cook out, watching fireworks on the roof of the old Mansfield Prison. After that a little ghost hunting. They like the fireworks...
  5. Yeah for $5K, you can pick up a nice 00-01 with probably between 100-150K. But the 4.0L easily last into the 300K range. Seats do fold down. 8 foot posts wold be kind of tough. You might be able to fit them in with them sitting on the arm rest in the middle and close the hatch. If not, just strap it down and you should be ok. Only problem with the last few years of the XJ was a leaking exhaust manifold. Most were replaced under warranty. If not you can pick one up for like $100. If you are wanting to go just a little bigger and still want a Jeep, I got my 01 Grand Cherokee (WJ) with the 4.0L for $5K out the door. It only had 111K miles on it when I got it. But a Grand Cherokee (ZJ or WJ) will not be but just a few inches longer than the XJ
  6. LOL I am glad I am not the only one that thought about that. I am sure you don't have to turn them on. I am happy they are making this a law. I always turn my lights on as soon as I turn my windshield wipers on when it is raining. You should have your headlights on in any adverse weather.
  7. Wow that is one crazy bitch
  8. I sadly can say I graduated high school with that guy.

    God Damn...

That movie was one of my inspirations for my hobbie. And yes, one day I will own Ecto1 I already have PA system hooked up to my Jeep that will play the siren. LOL
  10. Yeah I noticed that as well a couple weeks ago. Oh well, even though it is closest to my house, I would rather drive to Ohio Valley or Blackwing.
  11. http://ohiodnr.com/parks/tabid/80/Default.aspx Good luck with this short of notice, but I would start hear.
  12. I agree, the blueridge parkway is a beautiful drive.
  13. I saw ads for this last night too. I am going to have to try to catch this.
  14. I have picked up the POR-15 starter pack and have used it to fix a couple spots on my old XJ. It worked great. Use of a sponge bursh is best.
  15. Pioneer HU's have always done me very well. But I do have to say I picked up a JVC hu for the Jeep with built in HD radio. It is nice for the few extra channels.
  16. I do agree that this would suck for many libraries, but I believe some of them could take a good look at some of there spending and find some good ways to cut some costs if it came to it. I normally go to the Westerville Public Library. They are 62% funded by the state government. But walking around that place the other night, I saw plenty of things that could be cut to save money, all the LCD tvs, video game systems, mp3 players you can borrow, the paintings to can check out, etc... But I am still againist this proposal.
  17. LOL that is great. Temps go up and so do peoples tempers.

    Wolf Shirt

    LOL that is good.
  19. So I wonder if the Cleveland police department will hire him?
  20. Yep, I use this spot all the time since it is pretty close to my house. Stop by the pull up window and they will tell you to head over and dump you stuff.
  21. I do all that I can on my 3 cars that isn't covered by warranty.
  22. I take most of the movie opinions on here over any movie critic, any day.
  23. I think it is a common problem with minivan drivers. They seem to drive like idiots and it is even worse when they don't have there kids in the van (the reason they just had to buy a mini van). IMO...they are pissed off with the world because they are now stuck in life with kids and now had to buy a minivan and not the sports car they always wanted.
