  1. He's the only person I call for Roofing, Siding, Windows, Gutters or Downspouts. I went to High School with his son, I live close to him.
  2. have you tried looking him up on Spokeo?
  3. Thanks, you can vote every day. Or if you have more than one browser installed.... Really appreciate it, they are following their dreams. http://www.billboard.com/features/botb-midwest-1005066122.story
  4. I just put in a very small amount of ice. Really improves most booze. Including the heavily peated single malts I drink.
  5. Just trying to get my friends at MYMYMY out to LA for some big publicity. They are down to the final 3. Please vote for MYMYMY http://www.billboard.com/features/botb-midwest-1005066122.story
  6. I have noticed that when I turn wifi on, on my incredible, and associate. Web surfing, email etc... don't chew thru the battery. I am assuming the same applies. Dim the screen, lock it fast, wifi, sync every 30 minutes....
  7. We use State Farm, have everything with them. Honestly, I don't know what it cost but I have some add-on policies that were basically free and elsewhere it was hyper expensive.
  8. Faster over that air than cable or DSL, oh, and you can take it with you. Why is there terrestrial based Internet access anymore? I think that if you work in a residential Internet provider that isn't delivering via wireless, you are working in a dead technology. Landline anyone?
  9. Test by going to an anonymizer site first. If you can do what you like, they have banned your IP. If they have banned you via some session cookie read, then you have to go get rid of that cookie. So, IF you can't browse via Anonymizer, then try in another browser. They can't have killed you via MAC address because they wouldn't know the mac address, unless your computer is on the same L2 domain as the web server (you share the same switch).
  10. The problem isn't with the active core, its with the spent fuel that sits in a pool next to the core. The spent fuel has lost its water and had a criticality thus it got way hot. Naval nuclear designs are far superior to these land based designs, they just require a large source of secondary cooling.
  11. I am in Dallas every quarter. Fun town, good beef. III Forks, Fogo, La Hacienda.

    way to go AT&T

    I like Clear's strategy, Unlimited.
  13. Hawaii is usually a good place to go.
  14. Just remember, those guys, and the ones today, fought for the rights of you and I. If we want to protest a military funeral and bring our own agenda about, we can. I stood with my shipmates and swore to keep the US safe. Swore to let anyone in this country say what they like. Its a tough thing to walk a path others have placed before you, never knowing who you are, and even tougher to lay the path and know those that come behind you will never know who you are.
  15. It enumerates your browser and plugins and compares it to a database of known safe versions. If you don't have the latest/most secure version, it gives you the link to get it.
  16. You are correct, we simply do a vuln check and build metrics. Later will will publish a report that says X% of the browsers are insecure. X% of plugins are out of date, etc... If you haven't ever heard of Qualys, we do this sort of thing for a living. Its perfectly legit. As for mis-reporting the browser, I haven't ever seen that. Can I ask the OS you are running?
  17. Really the plugins are the problem. Rendering .pdfs with script in them, and the script points to Shell of the Future, you will be owned. We create the ratings based on what the vendor tells us, if Mozilla says X version isn't secure, then we post it as insecure.
  18. Here is a link to our free products. If you browse the internet you need this. Basically, everyone should run this on every computer and every browser you have. https://browsercheck.qualys.com If you host a website you should run one of these. qualys.com/stopmalware ssllabs.com
  19. Forensics raids often rely heavily on hardware folks. preserving the data as evidence.
  20. I know that we are low priority, but my initial statement still rings true. At my house, TWC can't do it. If they want to bring and upgrade out this way, they will now have competition with satellite, wimax and microwave. Media is causing too many problems and is slowly going away. Put it in the air.
  21. Being a Submarine Sailor also I first will say, NUB, then I will say thank you for your service. If you want to go IT then certs are a better way to learn (I don't really agree with certs that much but its a good way to get some basics). I see an emerging need for good IT security, having a law enforcement background makes you a perfect forensics incident responder. Look at GCIH. That or penetration tester, for less than $1000 you can start looking at http://www.offensive-security.com/ If you have a knack for it, and dig it, its a pretty easy 6 figure lifestyle.

    Asshole thiefs

Enable the wipe feature, don't show the password. It goes to sleep, needs the password to wake up, he guesses and guesses and it wipes.
  23. Yes, I am in Hilliard right by the new High School. There is a 400 home development building up 3/4 of a mile away. The ATT plant is old here, so is TWC. Since both of these technologies are dependent on a transport medium that I cannot breath, I had to go with one that is. I have both packages bundled together. It is smoking fast and I can stream 2 movies at once with no problem. When I built this house I called TWC and said "I would like to have Road Runner." The sales person on the phone looked at my area took my order, dispatched a truck and they did the install. Eventually I asked where the Ethernet jack was and they said they would be out later that week. Then, we learned our order was canceled, not because they called but because no one showed up. I called and was told that it wasn't available in this location. So I dug up the cable and coiled it out by the road. If TWC wanted to stop upgrading their current plant to turbo speed, and deliver me Road Runner, I would sign up. Hell I would sign up for a 5 year agreement. They don't want to make the long-term investment and that is why every house on my street has a satellite dish. The only cable available out here is non HD channels and below channel 100. I am not dissing the TWC model, I am just calling it as I see it.
