  1. I want to build a CNC machine, a cheap one that will run a rotozip. Anyone done anything like this?
  2. Ceramics are very good, extremely hard and hold an edge very well. One thing is, they can chip easily and have very little flex.
  3. Jameco has whatever you need. I can work on it if you still need someone. Radioshack has a few components but they tell you to order stuff online.
  4. Medical Marijuana doesn't make the state much money. It is medicine, they don't get to tax it.
  5. Well, before I lost my job I needed to have the ability to step off the plane in Seoul and get my email/make phone calls. Now, I don't really need to but I don't need a new 2 year contract either. I would much rather have an iPhone.
  6. The places in California are "Clinics". The Coffee shops in Amsterdam don't hide it at all, this place is just a clinic that has a place to smoke too.
  7. I am sure all those astronauts get thirsty, glad they found some.
  8. Well, no one has figured out how to upgrade a storm via the mac Desktop Manager. Every time I want to do anything with this phone it doesn't work. Software upgrades are impossible, charging the battery has become an exercise in flexibility, apps keep adding without my permission, I am done with it. BlackBerry, its not me, its YOU!!! Anyone know if having a POS phone is reason to be let out of my contract?
  9. I used to buy my expensive wines there, but now I wait for the $.05 (that's a nickel) sale at bevmo.
  10. Ok, so I want to upgrade my BB Storm sw to 5.0. It fails during the upgrade. Basically it goes to a 507 error and then it reboots and reconnects, the desktop manager asks if I want to go back or do 5.0. I can go back and restore but cannot go to 5.0. If you work for Verizon Wireless and can help me out, I would appreciate it.
  11. I have a jointer and a bandsaw. No planer. You know where I live, you are welcome to whatever I got. Are you out in front of the bar in Hilliard every tuesday? My son has piano lessons at Colonial.
  12. Appliance Smart (or mart or whatever) can be a good place for a fridge, if they have lots. If they only have a few they are very expensive. I usually go to Sears and get 6 mos same as cash, and pay it off. If you are strapped for cash, $800 tires don't really seem like the way to go as far as tires goes.
  13. http://www.thethriftymama.com/2009/11/chickfila-freebies-text-message.html
  14. Went to Applebees for lunch. Lots of WWII vets, lots of vets all over but these guys are hardcore, bunch of oldsters. I even saw a guy in dress whites, he must have been 70.
  15. Just wanted to thank my Brothers and Sisters out there for serving our nation. We don't always have to agree, but we do have to support those that are putting their lives on the line for our right to disagree. I wouldn't trade my time on-board the USS Nebraska (SSBN-739), for anything in the world. The men and women that protect our country are some of our greatest assets and we owe it to ourselves to thank them. Thank you, all of you, that have served or are serving the greatest nation there is.
  16. When dad first showed up in-country, they asked if he could drive a deuce and a half. He said he could. He became a munitions driver, 7 tons of explosives, bombs, blasting caps, like that (5 ton truck). They would convoy at about 70mph thru the jungle keeping their intervals changing so the rpg and mortar rounds wouldn't hit them. His truck broke down, so he and a brand new pvt setup to watch the cargo while they waited for the tow. As dark approached dad decided to cook the truck off, took a grenade and wrapped the spoon to it with electrical tape, threw it in the gas tank. They ran into the bush but dad took a sniper round in the forearm, flesh wound. When he got back he was put on the mine clearing team. They had cleared about 10k and turned around to head back to the base. This was early in '67 and the VC had just learned how to make mines with plastic detonators and non-metalic housings. As they rolled back the anti-tank mine blew his truck into 5 pieces. 14 guys aboard, 12 wounded 2 KIA. Finally he was back from the states on his second tour, his service paperwork hadn't even reached his company yet. The company was setup on a river bank and every night they took a few mortar rounds. This night they pounded them and early in the fighting dad took some shrapnel in the head. He couldn't see to shoot from the blood in his eyes but he did save a grunt's life helping the doc. He ended up in Japan to finish his tour as 3 purple hearts is rare and no one ever gets the 4th without getting killed. I posted about my dad reuniting with the guy he saved http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25141

    Mc ribs

I worked at McD's when they first came out. I remember training on the grill for them and when the clam grill opened the grease was so thick I swore I would never eat one. I never have.
  19. Happy birthday guys. I am a Navy man, but I worked with Marines on the subbase. My father is a vietnam vet, Marine, 3 purple hearts.
  20. What kind of vehicle, I can get you 2% under invoice on Subaru.
  21. I used to live in a lazy neighborhood, we got broken into pretty often because no one bothers to pull a gun on them. Good for you. I have had several of those scam guys knock looking to sell cleaner or whatever, pretty sure it is a front to recon your stuff. My dog always backed them up.
  22. I am trying to find out what a World War I F1 in the US Navy, is. My great-grandfather was an F1 in the Navy during WWI, being a Navy vet myself I would like to know what this rating is. (Fireman 1st class?)
  23. I think he's looking for knowledge, not certification. That's why I suggested the networking academy, they go way deeper.
  24. So, to narrow it down a bit. WAN Routing (moving data from network to network as in branch to core etc...) LAN Switching (moving data around the local network) Wireless LAN (same as above only no wires) Content Networking (positioning/ pre-positioning data near the client) Load distribution (load balancers, content switches) Network security (firewalls, proxies, Access control) there are more, head doesn't want to work right now. So, a good start is the cisco networking academy at columbus state.
