  1. I built a 4 BR 2 and 1/2 bath two story over a basement. 3100 sq/ft for 235000 or around $75/sq ft. My builder was Schumacher Homes. If you calculate/budget $100 per finished square you should be good.
  2. 16' wide, you might need a steel header.
  3. You can google almost anything. It is the cntrl-alt-del for an ipod. Sometimes they lock beyond input, you just have to let the battery totally drain.
  4. That sucks your dog died. Some friends are here to humble us.
  5. Telescope (adult sized, for my 8 year old) Trip to the UK for two weeks for my wife and mother in law. Scooter for my 3 year old.
  6. It aint about you anymore, congrats. Welcome to the club.
  7. I like beer, but i found the one for me so I dont have to try others. Guinness. That is a pretty awesome gift though.
  8. Well I went last night to Home Depot and bought a maytag topload. Cost half of what my Kenmore cost and it has a 5 year onsite warranty. I think I should put in another hookup and get two going like Putty.
  9. I have a Kenmore HE. Plenty of complaints about the stink.
  10. No matter how magic, the water left in the drum and around the gasket cannot evaporate. That's why they say leave the door open. I know the advantages to the washer, its why we had front loads on the submarine. I just hate how they aren't manufactured correctly and they get the funk.
  11. Heard about them reading about the stench that comes from my front-loader.

  13. if she rips, ask the Dr. for some "Daddy stitches" they love that.
  14. My clothes washer died. It is old and I don't like it anyway, so I want to buy a new one. I have looked around and am not real excited about the choices but saw something I had never seen, Staber. Anyone know about these? I refuse to buy another front load as they are designed poorly and tend to grow mold. But the Staber is a topload, that works like a front load. Epinions doesn't like it recently. Anyone have a good top-load suggestion that is easy on water?
  15. What I like is that he asked *HERE* for advice.
  16. Well, My insurance paid $800 for the delivery but then there is the epidural, aspirin, gauze, freaking diapers. I would say somewhere in the range of $3000. Assuming first child. Second you are there less time and they fuss less.
  17. My chicken coop door blew open sometime last night, I expected them to be dead this morning when I saw it. They weren't, they didn't even seem to mind. Their water was a giant ice-block. I am from Minnesota where this is the high temp most days.

    DLP bulb

I had a 4 year warranty and had the bulb replaced 3 times. This is a 50" DLP I bought in 2004. I was pleased at the result of replacing the bulb, if it dies again I will probably get a new LED DLP.
  19. My wife's family is the major reason. I work out of Silicon Valley and live where it is pretty damn inexpensive, I would prefer to live in Minnesota but my wife doesn't want to get that cold.
  20. I am not going there for the red light, though I will have to go see it. I am going to see the stuff I didn't see last time.

    DLP bulb

Well, in my case I had to have a torx set, a flat head and a phillips. took longer to order the new bulb than replace it
  22. I think they need sharks with lasers on their heads. why don't the chinese ships have guns to fight back with, oh wait - they aren't allowed to have guns. NRA much?

    DLP bulb

The bulb blew in my DLP tv, I changed it. It was super simple and I guess I don't understand why they charge $300 for the service. I bought the bulb for $160 with 2 day shipping. Don't pay the man, DIY.
