  1. if you're asking front diff or rear, its in the thread title....
  2. 750WHP ~ 885flywheel hp w/ a 15% drivetrain loss, so that's probably how he got his figures. 885 x .85 = 752.25 Maybe?
  3. Honestly, if that's all you really need a tow vehicle for, there's no way I'd even consider a diesel rig, its wayyy overkill, and that's true for quite a lot of people that have them. You'd be much better off with the toyota and be just fine, if it wasn't for needing a bed you'd have a lot more options. It doesn't sound like you're going cross-country or anything so you don't really need much. I tow with a 2001 Silverado 2500hd, 4wd, reg cab, long bed, I use it tow move shit/haul crap more than I do to tow, but its never missed a beat and tow's 5-6k lbs easy. We even take it 7hrs south into kentucky towing a LOADED boat and bed, every summer, sometimes multiple and its been fine. It also sees a fair share of snow plowing in the winter. good luck, but think about your commute factor and how little you'd actually be using the towing benefit of the bigger trucks.

  5. pics please, I need like 80-100ft if you have it...
  6. How about a 90 Plymouth laser. Hood/roof/trunk all faded, car is black, clearcoat's gone on that top of the car. How much for a repaint/clear, maybe even just blending into the lowers? I'm not sure how that works, but the car's clean, no body damage/rust, so I think it'd be pretty straightforward.

  10. And a tune and less restrictive intake system. I bet the tune alone was 20whp+
  11. If all else fails, how's he with kids?

    LT1 vs. LS1

I'd say you could get that on either rather safely on just some spray. Personally if you have up to $6k to spend on the car, don't settle for anything other than an LS1, its fairly easy to find one for that price tag, high miles or not. The money you'll save in mods for the same power on an ls1/lt1 could also go towards the purchase price. I think of lt1 f-bodies as $3k-$4k cars, not $6k.
  14. saw this, dunno if it helps? i saw 22r.... http://columbus.craigslist.org/car/542715999.html
  15. I'm not trying to cheap out, that's just the going rate I thought according to MachV's website and another one. The caps are cheap and if I knew my board was ok I'd go that route, but I'd hate to spend the cash on repairing the caps and it not do anything for me. If you say Phil knows his stuff, which I thought that too, then I'll trust his judgement in saying my board can't be fixed and search for a new one. Thanks again for any info, I found dsmtuners.com website, it just seems to be REALLY SLOW.
  16. Yeah, I pulled it from the car and took it into him today, he told me of Toledo Core, but I have been unable to get ahold of them. So I'm posting on forums trying to find one, unbelievable something this old/common is hard to find. I noticed that a few vendors will repair the board with new caps for $30 + s/h, what's involved in the $200+ that you're talking of? Thanks for the info.
  17. Thanks for the info, Phil from First Impressions told me my board was not repairable. Maybe that's not the case, but I have no clue. Any idea on who can repair the board locally? I fully understand that the car is 18 years old, that's fine, but the way he came off made it sound like he was better than me. Whatever, I'm over it, I've made it this far without IPS, I'm sure I can survive.
