  1. I'm not sure what carb I'm going with, what do you recommend? And I just wanted to make sure there were people local that could tune it.
  2. I'm converting my 5.0l to a carb setup and need to know of a competent person/place that can do excellent tuning. thanks
  3. Yes, and I have seen the pre-bent flared lines on a few websites, but I think I can do mine for less than $175 + shipping cost they are asking. I'm not in a huge rush, I'd love to have it on the road in 07 but I'm content with 08. I'm using an mkI ffr frame.
  4. Yes all the kits come with the sheetmetal pre-cut, but I didn't buy a kit. I bought a used frame online and therefore all I really am starting with is a build manual I bought and the frame. Also, they sell the aluminum pieces pre-cut separate, but its $2000 for all the pieces and not worth it to me. I'm building a cobra kit car but I doubt it'll look like a cobra.
  5. I want to buy like 20 of one style and 20 of another, but at all the local stores, target/sears/lowes, they only offer them in "assortment" packs, with a bunch of bullshit pieces I don't need nor do I want to spend the $15 on just to throw half of the shit away. Anyone know a place that sells the hooks single? Like piece by piece? thanks, trying to get my garage organized.
  6. No, I'm 99% sure he found out who stole the bike, but by the time they realized who it was the bike was in pieces/sold and probably in mexico or something. Also, I do know he had another bike, an older 500cc, so I'm pretty sure this is what he's asking about it for.
  7. Or you can just pay me $20/month to store it in my heated, 24/7 security, insurance covered garage. I'm a few miles from campus...
  8. roflbbq! who cares, you're enjoying your tv right?

  10. You should rev match when downshifting, its better for the transmission. It's better for MPG with LESS use of the gas pedal, so if you have to give it MORE gas in 3rd to keep the same speed as you would with LESS gas in 2nd, obviously you're wasting some in 3rd. The car is jerky because you're too low in the RPM range and it's got no power, that's not good for moving parts in general because sometimes it can cause a shock. Easiest way to conserve fuel is to accelerate slowly, shift at like 2500-3000rpms and don't break AS hard, I.E. only slow down as much as necessary so you only have to acclerate as little as possible. Accerating slowly/shifting early should keep you out of boost.
  11. +1, thanks for the name and address.
  12. i'm pretty sure my dad has some, i'll ask him if they are free or if he wants to sell them.
  13. dont have an air hammer, but i'll try with what i got.
  14. how do you guys recommend cutting the bolt/and where? I cant cut the head off because its still like touching the body mount, and I'm not sure if I could get in between the control arm and the body mount. I guess I'll see saturday, but that also depends on if I can move the torch 500yrds since the car isn't moving at all.
  15. Oh, and do you know if the 4lug and 5lug LCA's are the same? I might know someone that has a stock LCA off a foxbody mustang that I could probably have, but my car has the 5lug/rear disc setup on it.
  16. ^^ You mean both ends of the bolt? I'm fine with doing that but its a bit tight in there, what should I use to cut it with? I don't care about the subframe/whatever it is connected to on the body, or the bolt, but I NEED the LCA to be in usuable shape. thanks
  17. +1, and as soon as I finish building my work bench, I'll be able to stand 12 wheels/tires up next to each other under my heavy duty work table and still only have $50-$60 in materials and a days work.
  18. I'm removing the front suspension/LCA's on my 90 mustang and I got all the nuts off and bolts loose, but one 2 of the control arm bolts they just spin w/ the impact gun, even hammering on it for awhile, heating with a torch, nothing, I can't get the bolt out of the bushing. I think its like seized to it or something? Any idea guys? I really need to get this off to use on my other car. Also, what's the best way to remove the old suspension bushings and install new ones? I'm going to buy some poly bushings but I need to get this off the car and old ones removed first. Thanks

  20. My goal is under 2000lbs w/ a full tank of gas and street drag radials on the back. Should be fairly quick w/ 400hp. I'll have pics once I get it as a rolling chassis, the front suspension is done, starting on the rear end this coming weekend.
  21. I'll check the garage and see if I've got all them, and post up tomorrow.
  22. I have phone-work experience, and fast food/restaurant expereience. I am currently a manager at W.G. Grinders so I have customer service experience as well as good leadership skills. Thanks, I'll look into Verizon.
