I have pacesetter LT, ory, and a hooker catback. I love the way mine sounds with my cam. if you want to do true duals you don't need a ory or x. just do 3" all the way back and dump them before the axle.

Sounds good. Now it's time for a gear. I think 3.90's do well in those.

First of all I need to thank Sam and Neonjon for installing my cam. then making a house call to replace the failed oil pump. Thanks guys!!
Went to IPS to get it tuned. found out I needed inj. they hooked me up with a great price. Had to work out some bugs but the final numbers were 396 rwhp and 375 tq. Not the highest ms3 numbers but the things pulls very hard and thats all that matters. they were great to work with and did whatever it took to make me happy, Eric spent a lot of time nailing down my tune. Thanks to Eric and Jeff!

I do the 1-2 shift at 6700, the rest at 6900. I was shifting at 7000-7100 but the trans is getting weaker and weaker so I had to lower it to keep it off the limiter at 7200
you have a cam though. he is stock. I think your confusing him......

I wouldnt change the tstat yet. no need too.....maybe later after some mods.

And like you were saying earlier, it may be shifting at a higher rpm and the tach just looks like it's shifting at 5500 and it's really 5800 or something...
edit: if you really want to know, get a shift light. I have a raptor shift light hidden in a vent and it's wired directly to the pcm. I think it's more accurate.

I agree with linn. I shifted my stock cam car at 5800 on the tach. since its slow it was more like 6k. if your tach is stating 5500 I am sure brian set it at 5800. I don't see what the problem is. 312 for a stock a4 ls1 is pretty good.......

I shifted my bolt on car at about 5800. so realistically I was shifting at like 6, since our tachs are slow.

I have a ls7, 3 years on 450rwhp. its not a good clutch for the track though and may not hold the power your shooting for.

yes I know. but had to get to work, and it was over heating so thought I needed to add water. I had a large towel to protect myself. so why was it over heating? thermo is pretty new...

I think I have a couple issues. one its leaking coolant on the bottom right corner. however, it doesen't do it all the time. second, when it dosen't leak I fill it up with water but it still over heats. it over heated the other day and I went to add water. took the cap off and the pressure was crazy. water went about flying everywhere. that mean the water pump is not working? thanks.
