  5. Hmmm...May have to come out for a little stock 4.6 2V vs. 5.0 Shootout. I'm just curious as to what my 106,000 mile basically stock 2V can do.
  6. Well damnit..... We got our offer in at about 9:00 PM last night. We offered 18,000 over the asking price. Get the call around noon today from our realtor. They accepted an offer at 6:30 PM last night. So our offer never even got considered. Crazy, house went on the market Friday, we looked at it Saturday, rushed to get an inspector out there on Monday (everyone was closed on Sun), did that, put an offer in, but it was already sold. Just shows, you have to be quick on the draw with these foreclosures. It's a crappy feeling..... Hopefully the financing won't go through for the current buyer, although chances are an investor bought it to flip as it was a steal.
  7. Thanks everyone for the tips, I met ServPro out at the home during my lunch break today and got an estimate. I may shop around a bit more if we get it, we'll see. Seems like a pretty simple fix, but like wnaplay said, I feel like if I did it myself I may end up spreading a crap load of mold spores to other areas of the house. We ended up putting an offer on the house, but it was a zoo out there while I was there. There were probably 7 other potential buyers with their realtors looking at the property in the hour I was having it estimated. So chances are we won't get it, but I have my fingers crossed.
  8. Yes, we are financing and have been pre-approved but haven’t heard back yet on how mold may affect the terms of the loan. We are very serious about the home. The home is in a great location and has the best layout/features of any home we’ve gone through (we’ve gone through 30 so far). It is absolutely perfect structurally but will need completely repainted inside and carpeted as many foreclosures do. I would say that odds are that there is some black mold. I’m trying to find someone to do an evaluation/assessment/estimation, prior to going into contract to get an idea of what the overall cost of the mold remediation would be. I would rather have the company of my choosing or I do the cleanup rather than one of the banks choosing. That way I can make sure it is done right and not simply covered up with some kind of coating. I figure, after gutting, as long as the mold is limited to the concrete walls and floor it shouldn’t be a big deal to clean up. However, without being able to first gut it, it’s hard to assess how bad it really is. Like I said though, it has a drop ceiling which makes it easy to see the foundation wall near the top and also to inspect the bottom of the 1st floor. That is my biggest concern. No kids yet, but……. I do have one on the way (due at the end of September). This means we would have a few months, if needed, to get everything gutted, cleaned up, and tested prior to actually moving in. I will not move in unless the air quality/mold count matches that of the outside air. Also, once gutted, we would leave the basement unfinished for a few years to keep an eye on it and make sure there are no reoccurrences. Thanks for the tip, I gave them a call this morning and am awaiting a call back.
  9. Here is the deal. I’m currently in the market for a new home. As luck would have it the house that I like the most just happens to be a foreclosure (built in 2005). It looks like it has been vacant for well over a year. Because the power has been shut off, the sump pump has not been working. Unfortunately (in this case) it has a finished basement, and of course there is now mold (and a lot of it). You can see it making its way a couple feet up the drywall in the basement, and the carpet is still damp. It has a hung ceiling, so I removed a couple panels and took a peek around with a flashlight. It looks like it hasn’t made it all the way up the walls onto the floor joists and beams yet. There is no doubt, the basement will definately need to be completely gutted (remove carpet, drywall, ceiling etc.). Does anyone know of any or have any experience with any local mold removal/remediation companies? Ideally, I would like to have someone come out and evaluate everything, and then get an estimate on cost to correct it. Thanks for any info.
  10. When it feels slugish, can you feel the engine missfiring?
  11. Car looks perfect! Well done! Great pictures too... That mirror is usually broken. Seriously, it usually gets broken by drunk faigels leaving Park St. AT LEAST once a week.
  12. Oh noes!!!! 6 more horsepower :jerkit: but 54 less ft-lbs of torque.... Just putting it back into perspective. Besides, there are alot more capable V6's out there (and 4 cylinders for that matter). It's a step in the right direction (RWD), but they should have used the 4.6L v8 from their sedan
  13. Another big thumbs up goes out to Derek (TurboRust). He managed to squeeze me in late on a weekend night. I dropped my poor Mustang with a cracked intake manifold off at his house and picked it back up a few hours later. To my surprise, not only was the intake fixed/swapped out, but the exhaust leak has mysteriously disappeared as well? Thanks allot bud. I would not hesitate to take the car back to him for more work and would definitely recommend him to anyone else. Thanks again Derek.
  14. Thank you guys for getting her in on such short notice... She was really pleased with the whole expierience. Seriously, she keeps mentioning it. She said she has never been to a shop where she has felt so comfortable. She said usually there are "creepy" mechanics trying to pressure her into to stuff she dosen't need. She said that you guys seem like clean normal everyday people. She said everyone was super nice and easy to talk to (and she loved the shop dog). She said she just wishes she had something nicer for you guys to work on. Thanks again.
  15. Need someone to replace an alternator (and possibly fuel filter) on a friends 97 or 98 Honda Civic EX. We'll bring the replacement alternator (and fuel filter if your up to it). Would like to get it done as soon as possible, preferably drop the car off after 6 PM one night this week and pick it pack up 3-4 hours later? Let me know how much you would charge and availability. Thanks.
  16. I've got a brand new (only taken out of the box to take the pictures) replacement lower PI intake manifold. My brother thought he would beat me to the punch and get this for me for christmas, but I've already ordered everything myself. This manifold has the cast coolant crossover to fix the cracking issues that are common with the older all plastic units. This is not an OEM Ford part. It is a reproduction piece that comes with everything you need. No need to purchase new gaskets as they are integrated into the intake itself (see pictures below), also comes with a new alternator bracket, thermostat, thermostat o-ring, and all hardware needed to complete the install. Instructions and a review of this particular intake can be found at the following website. It is the same intake used in their install. http://www.autoclinix.com/Manifold.htm Asking $140... (He just bought it for $190 2 days ago) http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/3250/21212663hr6.th.jpg http://img522.imageshack.us/img522/9123/96391878lw5.th.jpg http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/4324/39446768ip0.th.jpg http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/4168/32532020os1.th.jpg http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/8189/90891556kz9.th.jpg http://img522.imageshack.us/img522/6577/35131667ak5.th.jpg
  17. Its the new revised intake, new alternator bracket, 2 lower intake to head gaskets, o ring gasket between upper and lower, coolant, o-ring gasket for the termostat housing, thermostat, and I'm trying to track down some new o-rings for the fuel injectors while they are out.
  18. Anyone want to install a new lower intake on my 4.6 2V Mustang? My plastic intake sprung a leak the other day where the thermostat housing bolts on to the intake. I've got it RTV'd up for the time being but want to get the intake replaced before too long. I've ordered a new lower intake manifold, alternator bracket, and the nessesary gaskets. Anyone have time to swap it out? Let me know how much you would charge and availability. I should have all the parts in by next Tuesday. I can drop it and leave it for a few days if necessary.
  19. 94-04 Cobra's or any 94+ Mustang thats has had the Cobra rear cailipers/or grinded GT Calipers put on the rear.
  20. 2 OEM Rear Cobra Rotors New in box $65.
  21. Thanks for all the help guys. The Maryland BMV will be closed by the time I get there on Saturday. So hopefully I don't get in any trouble for using the plates off my Mustang to get it back home. I tried to get a temp tag from the Ohio BMV today and as expected I can't until it's titled. There recommendation was to just not get pulled over..... Can't wait. :burn:
  22. I plan on taking it to Alum Creek as they seem to be a one stop shop.
